The measures didn't do anything anyway. Was funny seeing the cops move away from blocking the protestors when they walked to the government house on Wednesday. Could almost see one younger BiB flash the three finger sign, he was smiling at the people.
The end is nigh. Only a question of style now on how the usurpers will leave the stage.

Good, now they have an excuse to take a loan from CCP and let them trigger the debt trap, effectively doing what the Sino-Thais want: selling the country to China.Motherland awaits with lucrative cadre positions.

Any country that relied on them will have find new sources of tourists, which will be hard or return back to the old sources, which won't be easy either. Tourism in europe in the summer was slow, even with a vaccine and no restrictions it will take years to recover, far flung places will be for the intrepid travellers like it was before.
Sounds all good to me. Tourism should not be a large source of income anywhere, it is corrosive when the mass gets too big.

Hopefully tour groups from China will be banned forever.
Would be excellent. Tour groups and cruises are destructive to the communities they attack. Worst kind of form of mass tourism.

Go one step more, bin all religions, they will all go the same way as the dinosaurs at some point in time. very soon i hope
The antidote to religions is education. And education is poison to autocrats. England with it's history of kings and religion working in tandem to oppress the people is one good example of the dynamics at work.
So .. get rid of dictators first and then proceed to educate. Religions will fade into the background automatically. Unfortunately getting rid of dictators and keeping them away requires an educated crowd. It's a hard circle to break.

Not applying to CCP cadres coming to Thailand to advice on matters, of course.

corruption, lack of enforcement of laws and being a developing country explain things a lot better than culture alone.
Corruption, lack of enforcement and being a developing country is the culture here. It's embedded in the values Thais promulgate from generation to generation. The current crop of students does show promise, though. Probably due to access to the internet and outside world.

Not much demand for illegal Chinese hotels, eh?

Let's see what happens in three days. The CCP wannabe days might be over and western tourists could truly be welcome again.

Ok, probably another subnet, IIRC the darkside center is in Khao Talo. Could well be repairs. On the other hand, last time we had trouble here, it was an ant nest inside the local switch box. Had to harass 3BB three times before they found it. Maybe somebody in the same area as you can give more info.
-
None, been solid here on southern darkside. What area are you in?

CNN's food critics have a strange palate. Even panang tastes better.

I wonder how much they are paying them to participate in the PR stunt.

Immigration law is fairly clear, if you're on temporary stay and not PR, report every 90 days. Regardless of the basis of permission to stay.
37(5)
QuoteIf the alien stays in the Kingdom longer than ninety days, such alien must notify the competent official at the Immigration Division, in writing, concerning his place of stay, as soon as possible upon expiration of ninety days. The alien is required to do so every ninety days. Where there is an Immigration Office, the alien may notify a competent Immigration Official of that office.
EDIT: I see Ubonjoe mentioned there was some notice waiving it. Got a link?

Most digital nomads contribute nothing to the local economy, do not lead to job creation etc. -
so no, not good for Thailand in that regard.
That could change if they were allowed to start as one-man-bands. Some could lead to start-ups, then incubators, then to lucrative businesses hiring Thais. It's a real opportunity to bring some entrepeneurship into the country. Look at Singapore and the start-up scene there (although lately the Singapore Core has put a damper on that).

Maibpenrai is ok when you have nothing important to do. It's when you do have something that needs to be done when it becomes toxic.

Im pround to be Finnish man, not what is now but what have happen in past. How my granfather loose 3 hes brother in ww2, to fight for what have now. Kid's and many other dont think its important, but its most important what have now! Whitout many people's heroism and self sacrifice non of us dont have even free to speak!
Yeah well, my grandparents fought ( and got wounded and had to flee Karelia ) in WW2 as well, but I don't identify as a Finnish nationalist. My take is, if you need to be proud of something, be proud of something you personally have done. Don't really get saying "I'm proud of you" to kids either, ain't my doings. Instead I say "You should be proud of your achievement, well done". As for heritage, sure, having a personal value set is a good thing. But binding that to some land borders or group of people ain't.
Nationalism is a pathway to authoritarianism. As well seen in modern day Thailand.

There's a saying in my native Finland: "Envy takes even the fish from the water". As long as nobody else can have anything, those that got nothing are happy. Socialism is great.

Vacationers on cruise ships will be allowed to disembark in Thailand, CCSA says

Cruise ships? I think they mean the CCP aircraft carrier popping by to check the military base the usurpers will hand to China after the debt trap triggers.
