  1. Thanks, sriracha john! The situation calls me to post :o I think most Thais will do the same. On October 7-8, 2008, a lot of people have lost their faith to their own country, but not me. I am honestly think there is a way, and that way is not easy to accomplish. The "New Thai political system" must be born, otherwise we will live in the dark for ages. I am serious! I am a man who have seem too much bloodshed, too much violence, and too much shameless, subhuman politicians who can do anything and everything for powers and money. I've had it! 75 years of Thai democracy and every time we are back to square one. What is the meaning of this? It means the system is not working. We have to change to a better, less bias, less patronized society.

Golf, I truely do not think it is possible at the present time. Thailand has not and will never have a true democracy, or in the forseeable future(unless something changes). It has not been 75 years of democracy as you mentioned. The reason true democracy hasn't existed can not be published here. The reason true democracy will not exist in the forseeable future can not be published here. That's why Sonthi L and his crowd need to shut up and go home. Let the elected government work under their mandate and be accountable by the opposition in parliment. Not by an unruley crowd on the streets. Do you want true democracy? How can it happen?

I do not wish for the "Perfect System". I wish for a "Better System" where we, the Thai people, can make changes, can make our voices heard, and can prevent corruptions. I think it is possible if all of us are not divided like this. If we find a "common ground" then we can move on as nation. Many of the protesters who are on the streets right now see the danger of letting the "elected government" does its job! What are the rights of the elected government to authorize the police forces, who earn the taxpayer money as their salaries, to shoot on the people with the bullets paid by the very own people they are shooting at? That is why an "unruly crowd" are on the streets.

  2. Right now peaceful negotiation is next to impossible. All of the systems are not functional and it seems we, Thai people, are at the dead end. I don't want to go to any details, but would like to say this, "We must change, otherwise we cannot survive the collapse of Thailand as a nation." I still want to see Thailand on the map. I want to tell my son about the great country I and he were born. I want to tell my son about countless unnamed heroes who stood up and fight the tyranny mop. In the end, Thai people will stand up and say, "NO MORE TO PAD!"

PS. Please do not sue me on copyright.

No, I am not gonna sue you or anything, but it is obvious that you and I are quite different in thinking.

Good to see you posting again, as always.

Just wish it was under more desirable conditions... but perhaps one day.

  5. Let me share my thought here.

I think the Thai political system is simply a crap, not working in anyways we want it to be. How many times this event has to repeat again and again? Don't we get it? It is not working. I have seen/experienced these events since I was a kid and they are all the same. Thais killing Thais doesn't matter whose side you're on. You are just a pawn in a chess game. I am, by no means, a master of politics, but I think the only way to eliminate this problem is to flush those greedy politicians out of the system. We need a new system that let us be the master of the game, not a pawn.

This is a very bad image. What ever happened to the law .... where Police is suppose to serve and protect the people. NOT harm the people.

It's not a Policemans job to do harm whatsoever. This is the governments way to manipulate the resources that they have to command what they want done.

I think the Military should step in and show the Policeman how to do their job (by protecting the people).... what a joke this is turning out to be. :o

A riot police officer fires a tear gas shell at anti-government protesters in front of parliament in Bangkok, Thailand, on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008. Police fired tear gas Tuesday at several thousand demonstrators attempting to block access by lawmakers to the Parliament building in the Thai capital.

    Associated Press

Thai police always serve their "true masters" since the old days. This is nothing new to me as they know exactly who to "serve" and "protect".

  7. Is there a chance that this was a self-inflicted accident? I am just speculating of course.
A seriously injured anti-government protester is attended to by medical personal after an explosion blew off his lower left leg during clashes with Thai police in front of parliament in Bangkok, Thailand, on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008.

    Associated Press

Can somebody shed a light on how an explosion could have occurred when otherwise unarmed police shoots tear gas on a harmless (presumable also unarmed) group of protesters?

The police shot many people and get the gun powders into his eyes, maybe?

  8. Hi all,

This is just like watching re-run shows. Again and again, people have been used strategically for the benefit of just a few influentials. PAD or Pro Taksin or whoever... It is very difficult for me to see us, Thai people, hurting each others time and time again. This is a re-run show of the disturbing October 1976! Same story, but different actors. Both side killed each other for what...ideas, different political views, or someone else's power?

Jamlong (some spell his name differently) is hungry for power, Taksinn wants to rule once more. Sonthi, a MEdia tycoon who wants some changes for good, and others that MAY or MAY NOT have any personal agendas. All these actors are leading Thai people who have different political views to the deepest, darkest time of their lives. How many people have to died so that YOU can have the power?

I am sick and tired of all these BS and hope one day, just one day, we all wake up from our long, long dream...

  9. THANK YOU ALL!!!!

I have been away from Thaivisa for a longgggggggg time, but I am back, baby! Got cought up with family and works, but I always keep my eyes on what's going on in Thailand.

To sum up what I feel about Thailand and Thai people, I think this country is out of luck. If this kind of scums can get elected with the help of money, I can be a PM too. I think Thai people, not to offend anyone here, think that money is EVERYTHING. They don't see the danger. They don't see the long-term effect. All they see is money.

Again, thanks for a worm welcome! Will post more of my thoughts from now on. Hopefully I will not get banned!

  10. ^ Oh no he doesn't, you appear to know very little of the history of this individual during the past 30 years.

I know of no one, who would describe him as avuncular.

    Regards

Totally agree! Samak is Taksin's pet and Taksin is back! This person, the Pig Man, have done many many "THINGS" in the past that make me want to vomit :o .

  11. I my opinion, I think this is a scheme from Taksin. Why? This had been done before over 30 years ago. It's an old trick. Why now when the General Election is on its way next month? Why couldn't they wait? Why now?

When military took over the government. You can call what ever name you want, but I think it just a changing powers from one hand to another! This is a scheme that most Thais don't know or playing dumb.

Military would say, "We don't like the situation right now. Let's do it!"

Then they will say, "Ok, it's done. We've controled the country."

"We will choose Taksin as an interim Prime Minister for the time being." (that could last 20 years!)

Don't laugh, guys. It had been done before. Stripping down Thai Constitution and impose Martial Laws. Now there is no more Democracy, no Constitution, Taksin is completely above the Laws!

Sorry for being rude and ask you, but...Are you on crack??? Thaksin "as an interim Prime Minister "??? I would call it okay if he wouldn't got shot the very moment he steps foot in Thailand, IF snd only IF he will step foot in Thailand.

I siad it because it had been done before. I could be wrong, but that was my two cents. I was born in Thailand, I am a Thai citizen, I have seen this kind of thing over and over again in my lifetime. What about you?

  13. If the Nation can make it look like they are being gagged then it is in their own interest to do so. Politics is filled with sneaky tricks to mislead people and to create illusions.

You may be right, but it is possible that the government started to interfere with the nation-wide TV signals so no one knows what is happening out there.

  15. Khunying Sudarat has demanded Mrs. Uraiwan to clarify the cause of her resignation

Deputy Thai Rak Thai Party, KHUNYING SUDARAT KEYURAPHAN (¤Ø³ËÔ§ ÊØ´ÒÃѵ¹ì à¡ÂØÃҾѹ¸Øì), said that she would like to hear Mrs. URAIWAN THIENTHONG's (ÍØäÃÇÃó à·Õ¹·Í§) clarification regarding her resignation as the Culture Minister. Khunying Sudarat said she was surprised to Mrs Uraiwan's resignation as she is diligent person working and representing the Ministry of Culture.

She said that she has not been told about Mrs. URAIWAN’s tendering her resignation from her position. Reports elleged that Mrs Uraiwan's resignation is connected to the movements of the WANG NAM YEN faction.

However, she has demanded Mrs. URAIWAN to clarify the cause of her resignation.

    You want a reason, Sudarat???

    Here you go:

    from the Post:

    "A politician must have morals."

    now then, Sudarat... you know.

and now, since you surely realize you fall short of that criteria, so you should go, too... as well Thaksin... right?

    Way to go, Siracha John!

  17. Has anyone seen this:

SHIN TAKEOVER: Thaksin tables new tax breaks

    http://nationmultimedia.com/2006/02/02/bus...s_19811525.html

Taksin is thinking about asking the parlament to amend the law increasing deductbale amount to 200% of money given to charities, espcially to poverty fighting organisations, like Thaicom he wants to give 1 bil from his sale of Shin. Current deductablt amount is 100% - par value.

Has he got no shame? What is happening to this country?

Just to make matters even worse, ThaiCom Charity Organization is owned and ran by Toxin himself. So in the process, he is giving away his money to himself! Nice work, hummm?

Of course, he has no shame...what shame? I can't spell it!

What's going on in this country? Well, you will know the result on Feb 4, 2006.
