If the problem is that his leg is 3cm shorter then the solution is a shoe with a 3 cm raise. If that doesn't fix it then the problem probably isn't the leg length. I've been around a long time and I've never even read about an ICE spontaneously burning, let alone experienced it. I don't care if someone wishes to drive an expensive EV that will depreciate rapidly and probably not sell on the second hand market if anywhere near battery replacement time, but what I despise is trying to make everyone drive the things when ICEs are perfectly acceptable transportation, and last for decades.

If it's not of natural causes there are alternatives. I visited my father in one of those places not long before he died. The food was vile, and that was in a better than average place. I had to take him out to a restaurant for a decent meal.

Are not tour guides, hotel workers, drivers for hire restricted occupations? Forgetaboutit, IMO. If he wants to meet strangers I think TPV is the only option, but how about volunteering in an orphanage or such like ( with a work permit )?
