  1. Should be careful what you write. That was explained on the Do you believe in God thread on this subforum ( and probably more than once ), but you can go look for yourself. Only 595 pages to look through.
  2. Religions of any shade are man made constructs. Faith is in a higher power, and is not dependent on men with funny hats to tell them what to do.
  3. Do you think that God cares about humans on an insignificant planet? If I were to ascribe human emotions to God, I'd say that God has better things to do that care if we believe in a deity or not. I'm sure many on the Titanic were praying to God to save them, as the ship sank, but how did that work out for them? IMO we are on our own till we cark it.
  4. I think it's ludicrous that adults let a child lecture them about anything. Just because she regurgitates whatever adults tell her doesn't make her any sort of expert. If you have actual evidence that she is a genius and a member of mensa, please provide such.
  5. Given that this universe may only be one among an infinite number of universes created by one God, I would not be surprised if among their number a planet similar to this one has both Santa and a tooth fairy. Children will believe whatever their parents tell them, till they become individuals capable of understanding that lemming beliefs are not necessarily real. I can think of more than a few fairy tales that supposedly rational people believe in nowadays, so I guess some people never really grow up. Eg, windmills and electric cars are going to change climate.
  6. Indeed that is correct. IMO, Thai women are not into sex with ladyboys, and I doubt a genuine ladyboy would have sex with a female. They don't identify themselves as lesbians.
  7. While I know no names, far as I know Muslims kept learning alive during Europe's Dark Ages, and some were scientists.
  8. Nothing physical in this universe lasts forever, but if God is not a physical being, why would God be bound by such limits? Surely you don't think that people of faith actually think God is an old man sitting a throne in space? How do you know that this universe is the only one that ever existed, or will exist? This universe could be the billionth to the power of a billion that has existed so far. If God is outside physical laws, as God would have to be to create the universe, God is also outside time. IMO the greatest arrogance of some humans is that they think they know everything, when they know very little. If you don't believe in evil, then what was Dachau? A holiday camp perhaps? What were Hitler, Stalin and Mao? Between them they murdered rather a lot of people, or was that just a triviality in the great game?
  9. That's right, in Antarctica. Some of them were right tossers too. Obviously intelligent, but some had zero common sense, and had to have minders so they didn't die there.
  10. Here's a question for you? From where did he derive his "glory"? Was he a freak of nature, or was his intelligence "designed" by the architect of the universe. Also, in nature, are humans more important than an ant? If scientists are such great people, why do so many use their intellect to create the ways to kill other people in their millions? Why do scientists design bioweapons that can only be used to bring death to masses of other people? Scientists? Purveyors of death more like. Want evidence of God? Plenty of evidence of the devil at work on this planet, and in nature there is always ying and yang - ergo, if the devil exists, IMO God must also exist.
  11. 55555555555555555 Scientists are just human beings and nothing special. I've met enough of them to know that. Your charts are meaningless gibberish to anyone that has faith.
  12. Are you so desperate for threads that you come up with this nonsense unproven supposition? The evidence that a greater power exists all around us, but the willfully blind will never see it. Provide proof that there is no God, or it's not true. Teapots have nothing to do with the existence of God, and such is just stupid deflection.
  13. Super-Smart People, Almost INVARIABLY, Turn Out to Be Atheists? Garbage. IMO an actually smart person would admit that no one can actually know that for sure, and be open for evidence one way or the other. Such evidence has not yet been found.
  14. No. She was up for anything at that time, which was why I married her. Fun times and happy days/ nights back then.
  15. I took my future wife ( so she was my GF at that time ) as she wanted a threesome.
  16. I did because it saved trawling the bars to have sex. My wife lied to me constantly, so why would I trust her? Talking of trust, a "good" friend of 30 years scammed me out of $25,000. Lesson learned.
  17. That is the real question here. My wife had zero access to my bank accounts, and I kept the 800,000 in a separate account as well. No way I'd have allowed her to be able to get at a satang of my money unless I gave it to her.
  18. along with international air travel, the internet, and imported goods.
  19. Hmmm. IMO we consume too much, there are too many of us and nature can't cope with it. The problem is the IMO idiots that want an endlessly increasing economy ( instead of learning to live with less, and certainly no more unfixable products and massive amounts of waste ), while the consumer units are brainwashed into thinking that they just must have the latest overpriced brand name rubbish. We don't need more people, we need to use what we have better.
  20. I looked at it as an adventure and part of the rich fabric of life in LOS. I used to have great chats with other farangs in the q. I only went with an agent as the petty regulations that constantly changed were becoming too frustrating. Always took the opportunity to go to the movies and do some shopping after.
