Police break up network aiding foreigners to stay in Thailand
thairookie replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This scam model could not have worked without the involvement of a lawyer qualified by Lawyer's Council of Thailand. The foreigners sought the advice of lawyers, and it was the lawyers who advised them on the status of law and gave the go-ahead. The foreigners relied solely on the legal advice of such lawyers who were supposed to provide correct legal advice and regulated by Lawyer's Council of Thailand. The witch hunting mustn't stop just at the foreigners. The Thai nominees were willing participants in the scam, the lawyers were directing the scam, and the foreigners relied on the Lawyer's Council of Thailand to regulate the conduct of the lawyers. The lawyers didn't just breach their professional conduct, they were aiding and abetting the foreigners to scam the Government, and they were emboldened by the silence of the Lawyer's Council of Thailand, as silence could be construed as tacit permission. -
Police break up network aiding foreigners to stay in Thailand

They should also arrest the lawyers who helped register these companies and report these lawyers to the Lawyer's Council of Thailand for fraud. The lawyers should be struck off from the Lawyer's Council of Thailand as the dishonesty of the foreigners in setting up these fraudulent companies were aided by the lawyers who helped them with the registration, especially arranging for Thai nominees to form the 51% shareholders. -

I see a lot of Russians and Chinese working as property agents in Pattaya. When I asked for their business card, it shows they are employed as "marketing analyst". So they analyze the property market and collect an agent's commission ? When is Joke going to round them up ? -
Is it possible for a parent who has no job connections whatsoever with Thailand to obtain a Guardian Visa just to stay long-term in Thailand by sending the child to an international school in Thailand ? I have always thought the child's visa is sponsored by the parent, so that the parent must at least have some legal reason to remain in Thailand, and then the international school will accept the child to study in the school and give her an Education Visa. Is the opposite way possible ?

Should have gone to Petcharavej Hospital at the end of New Petchaburi Road connecting Pattanakarn Road. It's 5.7 km according to Google map, and it's a straight road. At 2 am in the morning, there is no traffic jam. -
I understand if the guest returns from a visa run, having crossed the border and left Thailand, then a new TM30 will have to be submitted. But what about the guest obtaining a 30-day extension after paying 1,900 baht at the Immigration Office ? Must a new TM30 be submitted ? For example, on the 1st TM30 informed that the guest would stay for 60 days. However, the guest merely had a visa exemption stamp for 30 days. So is it necessary then to submit a 2nd TM30 after another 30-day extension is obtained?

Tourist Police Explain "Skateboard Incident" at Don Mueang airport
thairookie replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
The police should have rewarded the Chinese tourist by ferrying him to a local market where he will be outnumbered by some Thai thugs, and he will learn his lesson.
