  1. Hey guys

Coudlnt find any last night but then again the only roundabout I could find was the one opposite that school which also leads off to a road which comes out at the moat opposite Jok Sompet. Ill have another look tonight, Im gonna drive to the YMCA and try and find it from there

  2. I cant be 100% sure but ever since getting to Thailand my skin has become alot more itchy at times than it ever has been before. I have always thought it was the washing powder so I now make my own. However I still get redness on my chest sometimes. So it could be this or something else, guess Ill know soon

Thanks for your help, this is great so right about msg aswell, too much glutamate in the brain is not a good idea neurologically.

  3. Roundabout, rotonde... :-)

By " main road" I meant Santitham road. So, at the 'roundabout': don't take the soi to the YMCA, don't take the soi to the blind massage, but the next one. The stall is on the left before guesthouse Santitham.

@ Elektried: Exactly...that is the "mother-location", they have 2 little stalls selling same products.

James, after 1000+ posts/ 2008, you should have explored Santitham area by now! ;-)

Food is OK, not mindblowing, but good enough for a quick, informal bite.

Thanks again, Im gonna have a look tonight and see what I can find :-)

  4. Thanks for all your help guys.

I must be rubbish with directions as I used to live in Huay Kaew and Santitham and am still confused where they are, but Ill drive around and perhaps Ill recognise something.

p.s I had to google what rotary means as in UK we say roundabout lol

  5. This is a very good questions and many people do care what they put in their bodies as everyone should. It is about being informed.. and making informed decisions. When I eat something unhealthy at least I am aware of it and not under some false illusion that it is healthy ..

Most fish and oyster sauces are just sodium and chemicals. I have heard some fish sauce does not even have fish and some soy sauce does not even have soya.

There is ..it is a brand called mega chef that does Oyster and Fish sauces with no preservatives or MSG. bah.gif . or artificial colours.

    http://www.megachef.co.th/ENGLISH/

Email them and ask them where you can find their products. The webiste is in English and Thai and when a company makes something like this I think it is so important to support them!

also for healthy soy sauce there is an online health food store in Thailand selling an organic wheat free soy sauce

Wow thanks man just what I was looking for :-)

  6. There use to be a stall in kad suan kaew food court, in the tops area. Also another one going into the santhitam area from huay kaew road, make a left before crossing over the canal bridge and its on your left shortly.

    Thanks

The santitham area one sounds good but canal road is quite far from Santitham isnt it? Do you mean left at dunkin donuts then left again?

  7. Healthy boy is a brand name that somebdy used before anybody else thought of it. Look at the labels, they all have the same things in them. You must make the choice if it's good or bad for you and whether it will cause you to "kick the bucket" a day earlier if you use it. Get Real!

Possibly the most pointless and unhelpful post you could have written, seriously what was the point.

I asked a question, you obviously dont know the answer to it as they dont all have the same things in them. Instead of giving your arrogant opinion of which I have no interest in save your energy.

  8. Just came back from a Korean place near Nimman which was reasonably priced. Food was ok but it was the first time Ive really eaten Korean so hard to compare to anything.

Are there any Korean food stalls around that are half decent? I know there is the Lum Lum restaraunt out near Ruamchok but more in town like Nawart area...? Also cheap would be good as many Korean places look well expensive

  9. Makro, Tesco & Friendship (Pattaya) sell Korean gochuchang paste. They all also sell already-made kimchi for about 35 baht/ package (as do most Thai supermarkets). But, if you really want to take on the project, here's one recipe:

Thanks guys, Ill have a look into doing it myself a bit more, if too much hard work Ill go for the makro stuff

  10. How do you say side parting when asking for a haircut. I basically want a short cut with a side parting. I tried to explain it before and what I currently have is something Ive never seen before lol

  11. Take a look at his last report card and see in which areas he is weakest and concentrate on those.

    Thanks

Thats basically what Ive been doing but yesterday for example his homework, at 10 years old, was to answer questions such as "what does the word strength mean to you?" , I mean that really is quite hard even for native speakers to answer well, they really seem to push them in international schools.

  12. Hi guys

I have a 10 year old Korean student who goes to an international school. He recently got moved down a year because his work wasnt upto scratch. He will be taking an exam to get him moved back up in a couple of weeks, was just wondering if anyone had any advice on what I might concentrate on...

I believe mathmatical word problems are going to be tested but anything else regarding esl I should focus on?

  13. Yes the banks have the bags and usually some of the nice young ladies will help with the counting..... The T Pavilion is on the Sunday walking street. cut and paste the coordinates into google maps. 18.788327,98.988077

Most banks will want you to separate them into bags of 100. The first 2000 are free, after that they charge a "change" fee. There is also the treasury pavilion in the middle of town that will take as many as you have and exchange them for free.

    Treasury Pavilion (18.788327,98.988077)

Ah thats good news, do they have the bags at the bank or is it a bring them yourself? May I ask whereabouts the treasury pavillion is...where its near etc as Ive seen the name but cant place it

Thanks alot, Ill check it out later in the week :-)

  15. yes it is any bank.

but why on earth sellotape them together

Just thought it would make for easier counting when going into a branch rather than scattered all over the front desk. Count one and measure the rest by height.

But Im sure I heard something about banks not accepting them anymore.....

  16. Thanks guys

Im gonna try some water first, then the green solution and if that doesnt work Ill paint it. Its a rental so I dont wanna spend too much on it.

Lannarebirths link has some good ideas too which Im gonna give a go
