  1. look how many different dishes are in France, Italy, Austria or Germany......I guess there are more varieties of breads in Germany than different Thai dishes.
mmm not sure but the fact that after 4 years I can still not see much difference between pad kee mao, pad chaah and some pad pets I guess there are some that are doubled up due to region.Good link but not much on the history
  2. Im leaving Thailand in a day and after sitting down to a Massaman curry it hit me just exactly how many different types of dishes there are here.

Has Thailand throughout history always been known for its cuisine or much like the smile, something that has developed over the last 60 years or so?

  3. There is enough homeless and uncared dogs all ready.

Save the money for retraining them. I don't think it would be possible to retrain one. They are probably like Kids if they are trained to be honest and polite in their early years that is probably what they will be when they grow up. Don't know what it would cost to retrain one into being a harmless dog but for the amount of retraining one you could probably take good care of ten dogs.

    Put them down.

Possibly, but to put them down, I'm not sure I agree.

They do require 'special attention' when being retrained but if people are willing to do that I think they deserve support.

Pits do have a bad rap and I see why, but they are only dogs.

  4. I leave Thailand quite soon but have recently discovered that pitbull fighting is huge here especially down south.

Its horrible to think people can do this type of thing, i was wondering if anyone knows of any pitbull rehab centre's here in Cm as I am seeing more and more ABPT around.

A friend of a friend I know has one and doesnt look after it, in real bad condition. I doubt much will be done but its worth trying

  5. There are a couple of shops next to Lumpini Boxing Stadium on Rama 4 in Bangkok - on the left as you come from Wireless Road and before the Expressway.

    Patrick

    cheers mate thats great

do you know how much the 10oz gloves are by any chance? The velcro strap...?

  6. Thanks guys

Helpfully they knew exactly what to do. Apparently they are registered with the Oz embassy and have access to a server in which they can upload the files of the patient/visa applicant. At first I had no idea what was going but the nurses took care of it all for me. On last check app is now being processed so I guess a big thankyou to the Cm Ram staff.

  7. I have to go to Chiang Mai ram to get a chest x ray report and its film for a visa app to Oz. Can anyone shed some light on how I would pass on the details? I know this sounds absurd but do I ask them to put it on a usb flash drive so I can upload it?

I understand why but its so unclear as what to do.

  8. At first there is no "Amazing Sandwich Shop", but an "Amazing Sandwich Restaurant" on Huey Kaew Rd...

So did they really copy the original and served bad food on another place?

Over long years now my experience with the original Amazing Sandwich is exact the opposite than the OP's...

    Hmmmmm...whistling.gif

thats cos it your shop lol

  9. There is a platform between countries where train stops and your process through both immigration offices and reboard. Butterworth is the end of the line so not sure what in on your timetable. It is a train station and connects to bus and ferry crossing (to Penang Island - Georgetown).

    thanks mate

is there a train from butterworth straight to kl by any chance?

  10. I noticed that there is a train from BKK to Butterworth in Malaysia, however on the timetable there is another destination written in Thai after Butterworth, does anyone know what it is?

Also im guessing the train makes a stop at the border, how is this done, do u leave the train and get picked up on the other side?

    Cheers guys
