The political situation is not good in Thailand, so they wanted to do some "yadaya" for internal peace and Thaksin's return to the country.
As soon as the Shin-Clan will give up on power and politics Thailand will be fine.
"She also asked about their oil-related business concessions in Burma's Tanintharyi [Tenasserim] Division."
The whole familiy is just about power and money...she could have asked where the money for the rice farmers went. But also she knows that answer already, me thinks

Great. So now every Valentine's Day can be remembered as the Valentine Massacre. And on a Buddhist holiday nonetheless.
While Yingluck and her son are out of town merrit making...."it wasn't me"

Surely those guys are just contemplating the Buddhist precepts and preparing their minds for Makha Bucha.
I mean, this isn't Chicago, right?
They are waiting for the ordered roses to present them to the protesters. After all it is Valentine's day.

Big blow for the DSI...
By the way, stop using LINE chat if you want to have a "private" lunch. "Police located his whereabout shortly after he switched on his mobile phone and clicked on LINE chat."

They don't hang themselves because they don't get the money from the rice.
They hang themselves because they borrowed at ridiculous rates and the loan sharks run behind .
And why did they need to borrow?

Take your money out of your bank accounts...
Did that today

What credible organization or NGO did this survey? Totally unsubstantiated allegations.
How do you know that the information provided by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (the first sentence of the report if you read it) is unsubstantiated?
Yes, one really has to question the 9yo claim. Who is the father? And is he in jail? Most likely some idiot just made it up.
it happens and is not made up. I know a girl aged 14 who has 3 children and 4 abortions. And another case a 13 and 14 year old getting married in a village because of their child.

Back to the subject please, it seems that the government's idea to get it over with in a blink of an eye (the rest of elections, and as often as needed to regain power) will be delayed. Correct?

"The government was trying its best to keep its monetary discipline..."
-
another happy face thinking back to the good old days....

Difficult to know whether that is excessive optimism speaking, or naivete, but right now, it doesn't seem very likely.
On past evidence I'd say it's Thaksin speaking.
...they are clones after all

Ms Thida expressed sympathy to farmers who have not been paid for the rice they sold under the rice pledging scheme and criticised some commercial banks for refusing to extend loans for the government’s payment.
“UDD members will stage protests against those banks on behalf of farmers countrywide after the election,” she said. Here we go, it's not the government's fault, it's the nasty banks not giving them loans for paying the farmers....

In the above picture the ballot box is open on the backside.
Is there a list of how many people actually put their envelope in such a box and how many are still in there by the end of the day?

Now I like to see Suthep's letter
-
Can't wait to see the red masses attending this "major rally".
-
Not unexpected at all, and apparently, the only way that they could possibly make the lady see sense.
What is now required is for her to make a public appearance announcing that the election is off, she and her caretaker government are stepping down, Suthep can therefore call off the street protests, and the business of carrying out necessary reforms can get under way.
She must also make it very clear to the Red Shirt extremists that their cause is over, and they should return to their homes; furthermore, anyone caught involved in any acts of shootings or bombing in response to the resignation of the government should be made to face the full extent of the law.
Wishful thinking, let's see what's next...

"BANGKOK: -- Pheu Thai party leader and caretaker Interior Minister Charupong Ruangsuwan has threatened to bring his supporters to demonstrate in Bangkok if the February 2 election is postponed."
Finally another glimse of their "true colors." Well done Mr. Pheu Thai party leader.

After 20 years in Thailand I am looking forward to other options. Let's wait and see what Myanmar has to offer for expats.

From his looks and posture K. Surapong would perfectly blend in with the north korean leadership type of guys. Just give him a uniform and change the backdrop, there you have it.
You know your TV name is an anagram of "dim, no?"
Nice try

Wrong name, i assume you mean K.Suthep !
No way, Suthep is alive, smiling, using body language. (We are taking appearances) Surapong is exactly the opposite, very miserable, zero charme and charisma. But that smiling and charming part is anyway Yingluck's job in the Shin-clan.

Mr Jarupong commented that water and electricity are basic needs to lead a normal life.
I wonder how many people in Thailand don't even have that. And no option to go to a fancy hotel....

Khun Yingluck just don't want to be hold responsible for saying me, myself and I want the election to be carried out (because my brother told me so). Instead she is again and again hiding behind other people...Be it the parliament, the MP's, forums aso.
When will she ever take responsibility...
Exactly what I've just wrote: (hiding again behind the so called majority)
BANGKOK: -- The snap election will not be delayed from February 2, as the majority of participants at a special meeting held to consider the matter agreed it should go ahead as scheduled, caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra announced on Wednesday.

Talking, discussing, informing the public are parts of democracy "world-style" but never "PTP-style".
I still don't understand why any "falang" in this forum can believe that Thailand has a good functioning democracy and doesn't need a total overhawl.
