The Big C on Sukhumvit does it on Saturdays. Hours are something like 0900 to 1500. They set up a couple of folding tables near the line of check out registers. I did mine there about six months ago. Very easy. You just need your "Green Book" and current insurance. There are also a couple of insurance shops jut across the street for Big C on the north side.
And inspection needed if it's 5 or more years old.
exactly what i was looking for, cheers. Which Big C though as i don't think there are any actually on Sukhumvit, would it be Rama 4 Big C, Onnut, Ekamai etc?

Cheers Bobbin I'll go in and ask

I was told they also service Kawasaki H2"s
Seriously though, the Dept of Transport will renew your road tax as long as you pay up to date including the untaxed period.
yes i know this but i'm unable to go there due to my working hours so i was looking for somewhere else that i can renew, anyone?

So i have been told that i can renew my bikes tax disc in certain Big C's, however, my tax is 6 months out of date because i use my car mostly and haven't used the bike for a while. My question is can i still renew at Big C even though my tax is out of date?
cheers

I think you just need the green book.
Surely a photocopy of the green book would suffice?

As the title says i'm looking for a house (preferably fully furnished) rental in a moobaan preferably in the Ramkhamheang, Bangna, Onnut areas or there abouts. I have been looking for about a month now on DDproperty which is a complete joke as they just say the property i am looking for is not available even though they have just uploaded to their website or they don't contact me back at all, i have tried other websites and they are pretty much the same, i will never understand why Thais are not interested in business and just knock it back.
Anyway i am trying a post here to see if it helps.
Cheers

i'm looking for ketone test strips but cannt seem to find them anywhere, anyone know of a pharmacy that sells them in Bangkok?
-
Are you saying rent-a-cops wrote you a ticket and confiscated your license?
yes they did, same that fine you for dropping litter. There were about 10 of them writing tickets for Thai's too.
-
Hi All,
does anyone know if the security guys that write you a ticket for driving, dropping litter on pavements would contact the police? The reason i ask is they say i have to pay 5,000 Baht to collect my licence but i would rather say i have lost it and fill out a police report and get a new one.
thanks in advance

Mod's i misread this and thought it was "driving in Thailand" please move this to whichever forum its best suited to....cheers

As i understand it at the moment i only need my boys Thai birth certificate as documentation that i have a dependent, or do i need anything else?

Hi All,
The title says it all, i am looking for a speech therapist for adults namely myself. I have Googled but can only find for children.
OK so people are going to ask why i need or think i need a speech therapist, well it goes like this...... I believe that i need a therapist for social/psychological reasons, i am an insecure person and have been since a child so I talk quietly due to a conscious or unconscious desire to not draw attention to myself, or i mumble therefore people don't understand me or i talk too fast or have a quiet voice or all the above...Not sure as i am speculating and not a psychologist.
Anyway can anyone help by directing me to someone that knows about these things?
No smart arse comments either please.
Cheers
Paul

I'm sure this has been asked before but i am asking again as this is Thailand and rules change.
I have a 1 year Thai licence which expires on 7th October and i have been told that i can do this 60 days from expiration date, I was wondering if this is true as i am looking to have it renewed to a 5 year on Friday.
cheers

I understand that UOB still offer 100% mortgage on condos, does anyone know if this is correct?
being accepted is not an issue only wondering about the 100% part.
also if anyone has had dealings with this bank for home loans, please share.
thanks in advance

The easiest and quickest way is to go to Khao San and get a copy of your home country licence and make sure both car and bike are on the back.
next go and get a bike licence and only do the eye tests, that's all i did because my original UK licence didn't have motorbike entitlement. they don't look at the licence really just to see if you have the entitlement.
took me 2 hours to get both bike and car licences, most of the time was just waiting.
i'm sure some fuc_kwits on here will be all like "you cant do that, its illegal etc" get a fuc_king life you cun_ts lol
also no need to do any tests or watch shitty videos all day, colour blind test and wait to get your Thai licence...DONE

Does anyone have a Nouvo SX?
Do you think the tyres are really bad and very dangerous?, they are not like other tyres they are too hard which makes them very slippery even on dry roads.
i want to get a new set but because they are tubeless does it mean i would need special tyres to have fitted or can i jump down to any tyre shop?
cheers

If you have proof of sole parental rights that should be OK instead of permission of the mother. But not sure on this.
i don't have poof of sole parental rights, why should i need this anyway as its a UK passport i want to apply for and i am the British citizen, its all a load of <deleted> bullshit with all these rules and regulations

Hi All,
I want to get my 5 year old daughter a UK passport but i am unable to contact my daughters mum, we split up 2 years ago.
i have been told that i need to go to the embassy with my ex and my daughter to get the passport, is it not possible for only myself to apply?
I find it strange that they want her mum to be there who is Thai when its me that is British, is there a way around this?
i have her Thai birth certificate and everything else just unable to contact my ex.
Thanks in advance
