Where would you go to get after market mods to a Kawasaki Ninja 250 etc, exhaust and rear wheel hugger, tinted front screen etc
-
Just come back from Phuket Kawasaki dealer, he says ZX10R no longer available, Z1000 now available at approx 500,000bht.

Owning a big powerfull bike to me has nothing to do with going crazy, I have never driven over 120mph on any big bike I have owned, it's just the bike, the look,I enjoy just driving at normal speeds and never above 120mph.
-
Okay I looked at the ZX 2 yrs ago and asked why is it a lot cheaper than the R1, answer it is made here, if not made here where is it made and why is it a lot cheaper than the R1?
-
You talk about restrictions in Japan but the ZX10R is made in Thailand!! so would it be restricted the same being made here.
-
So the ZX10R bought here from Kawasaki would be restricted to 100bhp instead of the approx 170bhp?
-
Just found out that the bike was imported from Japan for a falang, the falang left Thailand and sold the bike to it's current owner who was also the person that got the bike originaly for the falang..
-
The bike is for sale in Phuket.
-
Thanks for all the info guys, I will give this bike a pass, I have never bought 2nd hand so wil not start with this, I was passing by and saw it so thought I would ask on the forum's, will now look for something new but smaller..
-
Cheers for the replys, I will be asking all the right questions tomorrow also checking the green book, service history ect, it's an awesome looking bike and can be made to look new again with some carbon fibre wrap.
-
Going by the exhausts different suspension and decals I think it is possible he has raced this bike, will go back tomorrow and ask more questions..
-
I asked what had been changed, he pointed to middle suspenion and exhausts not sure about anything else, will be going for 2nd more detailed look tomorrow.it has a few marks but that is to be expected on a 4 yr old bike.
-
Guy says owned from new, he has just bought Harley 1.2m so wants to sell this bike, he is a business owner and seemed very decent, assuming at the moment everything is in order, going back tomorrow to find out more, assuming all okay any idea of the price!!
-
Been to look at a 2nd hand ZX10R 4yrs old 22500kms.a few marks but nothing major, upgraded exhausts and suspension, what is this bike worth today. he is asking 300,000 bht.

Sitting in my house today I heard a big noise, went outside a young Thai lad smashed into the back of a pick up with 6 Thai's, I went outside and asked everyone okay etc, now how strange is this, no one asked me you pay it's your fault, another good experience!!

If you can accept that is CAN happen, why can't you accept that people take steps to avoid it happening to them????
So you take steps to avoid it happening to you and you do this by ignoring people who need help because you are scared!! it's a good job there are a few people who are not afraid to do what is right!! I am wondering, if you should have an accident would you hope people would stop to see if you and maybe your gf/wife/children are okay!!

Good for you Jimi and I am guessing there was no mob and no one demanding money from you!!
-
-
Lets just say it is up to the individual, until this happens to me I will continue to do what your son did, don't forget I have only witnessed one accident in 3 yrs I helped with no problems at all !
-
I am not a paramedic who can administer first aid and transport the injured.
I am not a policeman who can settle who is at fault at the scene.
If you are none of the above and a westerner, keep driving and let the locals deal with it in their backward style of justice (blame game for maximum compensation)
The whole good Samaritan thing is overated, Yes you might feel warm inside for helping someone but the financial burden that may occur far outweighs the need to help someone to feel good, my thoughts go back to when the pilot was struck on his parked bike and lost a leg and while he lay there suffering, he was robbed of his phone and belongings.
People aren't always stopping to help but rather see what they can pilfer from the injured.
Kenny999 prides himself on having no problems here and minding his own business in Thailand but stopping at an accident you're not involved in will soon change his tune.
I stopped at an accident recently and had no problems what so ever!! no Thai's formed a mob,no one tried to extort money from me instead the 3 Thai's who also helped just went on there way!!
Also as sad as it is to say thieving from the injured is a world wide problem!!

So what we have here is thread full of people saying that something is true, yet not one single person can tell us how they know it's true. Which leaves us with nothing but guesses, hearsay, and scare mongering.
Happened to my son when he was here on holiday. That's how I know it's true.
It would be great if you could elaborate on that LivinginKata. Are you saying he stopped at an accident that had already happened and ended up being being hurt or made to pay for the accident as if he had been redponsible for it? Or was it a case that someone tried their luck but your son ended up being just fine and not paying anything?
If it's the former I am bewildered as to why you have contributed to this thread and not bothered to mention it before now.
Maybe he is trying to get the story right before posting again.
In my opinion there is no smoke without fire. I will give an example, I posted a while back that I saw 2 falangs in a black pick-up driving like lunatics sticking there fingers up to everyone in there way, if they had caused an accident I would have expected everyone around them too be angry and possibly attack them and I would join in!! so these so called attacks and being blamed in my opinion is caused by the attitude of the person who has helped!!

Test drove the Ducati 795 today, it's is an awesome looking bike, so fast you have to hang for dear life, downside is the riding position, felt like I was being pushed into the tank and wrists were hurting after only 10 Min's, 4020,000 bht on the road, extras sooo expensive!! so straight to Kawasaki and they had the new I assume 2012 ER6n as it was different from mine I owned last year, riding position excellent, in white and black superb, just over 150,000 on the road sealed the deal, free decent helmet and jacket, i month wait. excited!!
