  1. Seems like the economic crises of the company now can clearly be seen with the increasing accidents and unpolite and incompetent staff.

They cannot compromise with the safety and maintenance of their aircraft and put all lives in danger.

We understand at times people just want to step up their business but they must not forget their quality for what they are know and have people's trust.

  2. Got this info notice from my employer this morning. Anyone has more clear information regarding this?

FYI- here is the new rules from the Royal Thai Police Immigration Service announced on August 13, 2013:

Starting from 26 August 2013, the visa extension will be permitted only up to the expiry date of the applicant's passport, if the remaining validity of the passport is less than one year. When new passport is obtained or renewed, a new application is needed. The visa extension will NO longer be automatically transferred onto the new passport.

This new regulation will also impact to the family members. The visa holder and family members will need to re-apply for a new visa application by submitting all the required documents for long term visa extension and paying a fee of baht 1,900 per person. For example, the main applicant's passport will be expired on 30 December 2013. And the application for extension of stay was submitted on 29 August 2013. The extension of stay will be approved for up to 30 December 2013 (which is the expiration date of the applicant’s passport) for the applicant and his dependent persons, even though the passport of the dependent persons will be expired on 30 November 2014.

  3. Feel really sad seeing the standard of thai airways going low.

    Service is getting poor.

    Food is pathetic

Staff is so arrogant Air Crew as well as the ground staff (Absolutely no service industry manners)

The list can go on and on........how long before thai hears all this and takes some action??????

  4. Hi,

How long is your transit for? Yes, tags with security check stamps are still mandatory at Indian airports for all hand carry bags.

Make sure to check on your luggage (checked in Baggage) before boarding the next flight at Mumbai.

Don't expect (much) assistance, so read the signs displayed (carefully) for directions.

(If) need to clear immigration make sure you are the quickest person out, even though the process is fast but just to figure out which line you need to stand in (sometime counter for foreign passport and Indian passports is the same).

If you have a long wait at the airport (you might want to get a transit visa and see a bit of Mumbai in the rainy season)

Lastly, while landing if you see whats on the TV in any of the houses (slum huts) or people looking at you, dont be scared you are still landing at the Mumbai airport and not on a roof top.

    Have a safe flight!!

Hi thanks for the reply. Transit is 1 hour 45 minutes so not along wait.

Not sure what you mean check on the checked in baggage. I assume as it is Jet all the way, BKK-BOM-LHR, then the checked in cases go straight through right?

Sent from my GT-I9003 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

It means, even though the baggage is checked in straight through, it will be taken off from the plane for security check, I have had luggage missed during this transition, where it was taken off the flight but the loaders forgot to put it back on the flight. I was lucky, just before the flight was about to take off, I asked one of the crew to check on my luggage and it was found missing, flight was delayed as the luggage was tracked and put on flight.

So make sure to check on your luggage again at Mumbai.

  6. There are good and Bad people in every part of this world. When it comes to Body Odor, Thai's blame others to hide their own body odor.

When thai people compere Indians to "disdain" they should look at the number of Indian tourist visited thailand and how many thai tourists visited India?

Well we all know the thai society well, its always about money and saving the "face" stuff.

  7. I had been unemployed twice and once without pay for about 7 months. I resigned from my first job and went back from wherever I came from, spent about 3 months looking for another and back to Thailand with a new job. Worked for year and half and the company went broke, did not get paid almost 7 months until today, gave up that job and spent some free time with my gf before hunting for another one.

3rd Job, worked for a year and got a better job and without thinking just resigned and now working at a top company in a top position. Working here is always best. Work Hard and Party Harder but always keeping the options OPEN as this is unpredictable Thailand, anytime anything can happen...

  8. I have taken police clearence from the Police HQ atleast 4 time and faced no problems at all. People were all nice and helpful. the last time I was there it was there closing time but few officers did stay back to complete my procedure. No many documents are required, just copies of work permit, passports, letter from school (in Thai) and got to fill up the form available at the counter. Photos will be clicked online at the HQ. Another important thing is to have the new employment contract (photocopy) as well.

The photocopy machine in the police HQ office cannot be used (first time when I was there) you got to use the machine outside in the opposite building they charge about 2 baht per copy. Police clearance can also be issued from India but it will take nice and long 2 months before the certificate reaches you or you can apply one through the Indian Embassy as well.

Try again, if possible take a thai person with you, it will all work out well if you can also speak some thai.

    Cheers!!!
