  1. Ok...so you want the dirt...the gos.....the low down

My lawyer lost a case for me....well did not exactly lose, but did not get the desired result and I know where they went wrong. I could have done a better job myself.

Thailand is a learning curve and having not dealt with legal matters here before, I did not have the 'actual' experience myself to know how it works. Now having gone through it, I know somewhat more and I am very sure I know where they went wrong.

I want a new team to take over an appeal and as many more appeals as it takes to win.

I not like to lose when I know I am right, I won several cases in Oz when I knew every time I was right. Only lied once to secure my case being right.

The case is construction related and is now 2 years old.

So I want a hard arsed son of a bitch take no prisoners kinda guy....

PM me as I have exactly what you are looking for. He even scares me with his tactics but the results are there for me.

  2. I'd be interested too.

I think the carts aren't that good though... But can give it a go once... if you get any plans together drop me a PM. :o

As far as I know, they don't really have arrive and drive 2 stroke rental fleets in the BKK area. I think the nearest place with 2 stroke engines is Pattaya.

Should give seacon a try! Great Karts if they let you drive the pro-versions. Really Really very fast!!!

The owner buys old karts with chassis' that have expired homologation, tunes the carburettor down, and puts used tires from a pile of the old ones. Road surface is horrible due to shoddy construction and weight overload from car racing. And he was expensive as hel_l.

Are you sure you know the owner? We always get top Karts from him.

He is in one of the pics...

Not cheap: 1000 baht for 15 minutes! But we get top karts with 2 stroke geared engines! PTT is way to slow and dangerous with all sorts of nutters racing there. Especially after the last crash they had in their endurance race! Guy got nearly killed.

  3. Seacon square have rental carts or you just joking?

Across from Hua Hin airport they have arrive and drive 2 strokes... I visited once on the way past but never drove as the track was still wet from heavy rain. A farang owner too - seemed like a nice guy.

    re: 5th Jan @ 5pm, sounds ok... 80% there :o

    i will PM my number.

Oh yes Sir, they have them:

We are there with a group at least once a month (sundays)

  5. Where do you fly around BKK? Does any old park work or do you have to go someplace out of the way, or an approved location?

Also, has anyone found one of the little 2 channel helos that they sell all over for 500 - 1000 baht that won't break in 5 minutes (or less)?

Go to Seacon Square, 3rd Floor in the Tutor/ Tesco side. Its located between "Math House" and a book store. Forgot the name of the shop. Decent people and professional stuff. Also sell training kits. You can book training classes with them for 800 a full day. 2-3 Days will do for mastering your 6 channel helicopter.

Yes, they do sell you the Baht 1300-2900 simple ones as well and lots of parts available.

  6. Can anybody direct me to a place in Bangkok that serves REAL buffalo wings? They're my favorite food but whenever I try to order them I either get a distressed look from the server or they come back with no sauce or even worse....... KETCHUP :o !!! I just want some nice deepfried tender wings with that delicious spicy buttery sauce that I could always find back in Rochester NY. Any suggestions would be awesome :D

Try the Rd. House BBQ on the corner of Rama 4/ Sureewong next to Jim Thompson.

  7. Futaba Hobby Supply Co.

    703/12, Petchburi Road

    Opp. Pantip Plaza

    Bangkok 10400

Are you Talking about that Little shop accross the rd. of Pantip? That guy is very foreigner unfriendly. Doors always say closed. Had a chat with him once about this. Reason being that about 250 foreigners walk in daily and only ask for prices, never buying. Anyway, once you are in you will be allright. Got a few engines of him.

  8. Its every 7 years that you will need to check. The owner of the car will be notified. It used to be 10 years, somehow its now 7 years. Not sure what they check. Emission for sure, rest from your list I cant answer

Are you sure that it is every 7 years?  It was my understanding that an inspection was required at 7 years then every year thereafter due to the age of the vehicle.

You might be right. I only know that first inspection is at 7 years.

  9. Went to the Pub around the corner thinking of having to drink Tonic Water due to elections. Drink came and it contained Gin....

Another hour or so went passed and I got pissed. Lots of people joined later on. The place was packed. Than the news struck! Silom is selling alcohol!!!!

Best news: Paid the bill and only got charged Tonic Water! Well thats what I call customer service!

Due to the surprice we proceeded to the Thaniya's Barbican and again, packed with people being served chilled beers!

Moral of this story: Never say never, life is full of surprises!

Oh yes, and the Bang Rak Police officers were having a beer as well...

  10. On Koh Samet it is the case for overcharging Thai's. Their repsonds was that Thai's stay on their room all day with aiconditionings running. Not eating at the restaurant belonging to the resort, bring their own booze etc, etc.

Makes sence looking at it from that way.

  11. We do not own a horse! I certainly couldn't afford that although my daughter would love it. She goes to a local Thai run stable and rides there. She has had several lessons and goes trekking most weekends. They have cheap plastic motorbike helmets and rubber wellie boots which she uses but I would like to get her her own gear.

I have a bit of a thing about wearing hats and boots that are worn by many anonymous people.

Super Sports, Central World, Bangkok sells it. Saw it at the shop yesterday. Maybe you could try through Super Sports Phuket to get some more info.

  12. They used to be on silom street but now they're gone, who knows where they have moved to? will be very helpful, big thanks in advance!

Terrible food and service, it was incredibly bad, fastest closure ever

The Silom Branch "Mikes Burger" has gone, making space for Tawan Deang German Beer House branch

  13. I actually had a shady experience with them.....very unprofessional and lack of customer service is the only thing I could comment...

    What did you upgrade?

    I got an exhaust upgrade.

I see. Normally that should be go together with other upgrade to fully work? I am not sure. My boss had her BMW upgraded, the full job for Baht 180000.- Took them 7 days to do it! Went up from HP 193 to 285. The thing flies now.. no complaints so far.. Just engine upgrade though.

  14. BM / Merc owners:

Anybody tried an engine management upgrade as advertised by VRA motors in the Post, Motoring Section?

I wondered if there were any reliabilty issues or other dramas after the upgrade?

Anyone really happy with the work done?

I'm not willing to try until I find out if they REALLY know what they are doing.

    Cheers

If you mean those guys at Viphavadee than yes! You can trust them. They have done my boss car (BMW). Went there with her when picking the BMW up! Lots of very expensive cars around and all materials are imported
