  1. I know the F&D director at a large 4.5 star hotel in town and he's paid around 190,000 per month, plus has a suite in the hotel.

    He's a scot.

Given that, I'd suggest A$5000 is not out of the ballpark.

I would say that given the relative lack of skills of most Australians other than in rugby and league, that a a Scot on the pull is worth 2 Aussies in the bush.

wow, bitter much? for such an unskilled bunch they sure do a great job of running one of the most livable countries on earth.

  2. Group 1

    Australia

    Japan

    Uzbekistan

    Bahrain

    Qatar

    Group 2

    South Korea

    Iran

    Saudi Arabia

    UAE

    North Korea

Top 2 from each group gain direct entry. The two countries that are placed in 3rd will playoff for the right to play against the 1st placed team in OCEANIA.

  3. does that apply to all online degree's.? are they all bol*ocks.?

If your doing distance learning from a legitimate University that has bricks and mortar then it's perfectly fine. Usually the Certificate and transcripts don't even mention the degree was completed by correspondence.

Open Universities might be different as they are based 100% online. Maybe someone else can clarify.

  4. I watched a news show in Australia two or three years ago, where a reporter, armed with a map of the world, with Australia labelled as Iraq and a few other erroneously labelled countries, talked to the "man on the street" in some part of the US and asked whether they thought Iraq was a big problem, he then asked them to point to Iraq on the map of the world. Of the fifteen or so people we were shown on the program only one pointed to the middle east, the rest of them pointed at Australia.

It was very funny, if not a little disturbing. youtube link

  5. MBK has plenty of copy versions of Bathing Ape etc on the 6th floor. If you want originals you can go to the ground floor of Esplanade Mall on Rachada, they have about 6-7 shops all selling this type of stuff.

wow thanks for that, i hope it's cheaper than the original ones in Australia. I'm going to stay away from the fake ones, there's too many people wearing them, not realising its the fake version :o

so it's on the bottom floor at MBK?

tbh I can never tell what is real and what is fake. Is there a way of knowing when it comes to the bigger clothing labels?

Are the surf brands i.e. Volcom and Quickslver that are sold at MBK generally real?

  6. Firstly, I know I know, this has been asked many times before and there is information about it on the net however after doing some research I've found myself even more confused as the information is conflicting.

Just got enaged to my Thai girlfriend and I promised to buy her a car. I won't be driving it (I'm happy with my Vespa) however I want the car in my name seeing as I will be paying for it in full.

Most of the information on the net states that I need a non-immigrant Visa (which I don't qualify for) However today I visisted the Thai immigration office here in Sydney and the senior advisor said I can buy a car on a tourist visa without any problem. :o

Is there a difference between having a car registered in your name and having a car bought in your name or are they one of the same?

Can anyone help me out here. thankyou in advance.
