  1. The statue of limitations (Called Prescription in Thai law) is A law it would have to be changed. 112 is part of the constitution this has already been tried with no success
  2. You need to do your research, Thailand has a Multitude of Standards and safety protocols and build standards, there are lots of safety guidelines The problems is Not the safety standards it is the implementation and education on how to use them do you know how to do a risk management assessment you should as it could save your life one day Hazards are part of daily life Risk assessment helps to Identify these hazards
  3. yes nothing happened to him i blame the police they need to get of there arse and go arrest these guys instead of waiting for them to show up
  4. Thailand Employers Are not held accountable for there employee health or safety there are no Government mandates, an employer, should be required by law to protect employees, and others, from harm. for example in the uk Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the minimum you must do is: identify what could cause injury or illness in your business (hazards) decide how likely it is that someone could be harmed and how seriously (the risk) take action to eliminate the hazard, or if this isn't possible, control the risk Assessing risk is just one part of the overall process used to control risks in your workplace. for workers Health Thailand is in the dark ages
  5. I don't see how she can ask for extradition for these guys, They are not convicted of anything yet, the only thing they have done is run away don't think that is a crime ( might be wrong ) even if it is its a minor offense YES they are Suspect in the Tak bai Massacre but until proven guilty they are just suspects that is all, it is a Thai trate to run away can not stand up and take responsibility, the blame for this is the police by not locating them and physically arrest rather than wait for them to turn up

  12. total agree The policing in Thailand needs to be Improved getting bad press about corruption does not help over the years i have met some great police and call them my friend would do any to help and they have but the expats on here do not help but you are right Thailand badly needs police reform

  14. Thailand's gradual introduction over the past 15 years of regulations for bus safety laid out by the UNECE, the UN Economic Commission for Europe, a body responsible for establishing international standards in many areas. But application of these rules have been slow and piecemeal. “The problem is most of the manufacturers in Thailand cannot reach that standard,” says Sumet Ongkittikul, a transport specialist at the Thailand Development Research Institute. “So the implementation has been delayed, to allow them to catch up. “Also, the regulations only apply to new buses. But most of the buses operating in Thailand are old." Modifying old bus chassis with new bodywork is a local industry, where safety standards are for the most part far behind those in many other countries. UNECE regulation UN R118, which requires bus interiors to be made with non-flammable materials, was officially introduced in Thailand in 2022, but does not apply to buses made before then, or buses adapted using older chassis.
  15. Lets get some facts in regard to Natural gas If you worked in the oil and gas industry you should know this Natural gas as any gas, petrol, need to mixed with oxygen before it ignites Natural gas is harder to ignite that petrol Natural gas will not ignite if it flows onto a hot surface petrol will If there is a leak natural gas will not ignite with out an ignition source Petrol will ignite without a an ignition source if it get hot. if a gas system is maintained correctly there is no problem and I don't think the world is going to stop using Gas power vehicle soon
  16. because you live in Thailand is no proof that All DTL inspectors are corrupt
  17. Gas Vehicles are world wide the system is well documented as Safe as long it is maintained correctly
  18. Yes tend to agree but its a start on an education in Safety
  19. And you have hit the head of the nail "but no one took the initiative to stop doing it. " No risk management by the school Identified the Hazard but no action
  20. Now that is a Tall order lots of overtime would you not think they would do this in stages Thai logic !!
  21. Why do you Assume all DLT inspectors are corrupt you have proof !! if not don't post
  22. As it already been pointed out correctly it was NOT a EV
  23. This is an International standard so Inspectors world wide do the same They are using gas detectors which are very sensitive so if they don't pick up anything it is safe to say it is leak tight
