  1. Panomphrai suggested that moving forward, safety protocols might need to be enhanced, WHAT SAFETY PROTOCOLS !!!! Thailand does not have any !!!
  2. Typical Thai will not take responsibility rather run/Drive away
  3. I the winter they salt the roads leading to corrosion of the car
  4. You are correct !! I would like to know to what standard Inspectors are checking vehicles to ?? the only way to check a gas system is by a pressure check and then soap check the joints bet this is never done as it takes time to ,What are the qualification of the inspectors ??
  5. I am sure you do not understand and that is the problem Corruption IS Corruption, Corruption is a form of dishonesty or a criminal offense that is undertaken by a person or an organization that is entrusted in a position of authority to acquire illicit benefits or abuse power for one's gain. Corruption may involve many activities which include bribery, influence peddling, and embezzlement and it may also involve practices that are legal in many countries And That is the problem People like you accept the culture of corruption that is why Thailand will always be a corrupt 3rd world country, and you think because vehicles last long here they should be on the road lots of vehicles i see on Thai rods should be scrapped due to safety concerns but no life is cheap who cares !!! Inspection in Thailand of Vehicles in under the UN standard UN R118 but Thailand is struggling to maintain this standard, again Thai attitude who care if I don't do my job properly, Thailand has a culture of apathy and will always be a 3rd world country until this changes
  6. Its ALL of Asia No public safety, there is No education or safety awareness for road safety the only acceptance to this is Singapore and Malaysia the rest of Asia should look to them, its fine for Governments to form committee's and introduce new laws ect, BUT it is ENFORCEMENT that is required, this will not happen until corruption and a culture change happens Lives are cheap in Asia and nobody cares !!
  7. Not much of a Safety tip, you might be a safe driver but what about the mad Thais Even just walking you have a good chance of falling down a hole on the side walk, There is NO SAFETY in Thailand lives are cheap and nobody cares !!
  8. Really think you guys have not been in Thailand all that long, What you are saying is would apply to western culture, In Thailand its a culture of corruption, apathy this is a 3rd world country which all it cares about is money and saving face so all this safety protocols inspection of vehicle is all for saving face and for the government to look good nothing is really going to happen No laws are going to be changed or introduced so you are dreaming if you think this is going to effect anything forgotten in a few days take the tak bai incident taken 20yrs to get this far look at red bull !! Think also you need to look up the definition QAQC Its Not Applicable, it is Occupational safety and health that is required
  9. I agree with what you say but in all reality it will not happen lives are cheap in Asia and to implement Safety protocols in Thailand costs money, this will be forgotten in a few days its not the first time tragedy like this has happened look at the tak bai incident taken 20 yrs to get any where, Thailand is not like the west its a 3rd world country and always be the same
  10. there is NO safety in Thailand just the almighty Baht
  11. lots of bullet point but don't say any thing, WHAT Standards are Used ?? What standard is the Training, what are the safety protocols used, the only thing i can agree on is that the bus company's are un-regulated the DLT are supposed to Control the company's but do nothing typical Thai this should be awake up call for Thailand to get there act together in regard to safety but safety costs money and lives are cheap will be forgotten if a few days
  12. Yes natural gas has no smell they add the smell so you know if it leaks, you can not be gassed buy natural gas you still die of course but you die from lack of oxygen it is nontoxic it is hard to ignite than coal gas
  13. Well i think that is rather a bold statement ! The correct Installation of A NGV system is safe as long as it is mainlined correctly it is wildly used world wide its like saying don't use lPG for cooking as it can blow up in the kitchen or any gas think you are making a big leap saying should not use a NGV system. The root problem is backyard Installation and no maintenance.
  14. just to point out the bus was a CNG not LGV and the tank did not explode one of the tanks had a leak CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) LGV (liquefied Natural gas vehicle) In vehicle applications, the main advantage that LNG has over CNG is that it is more dense. For two tanks of the same size, the LNG tank will allow a vehicle to drive further than the CNG tank. which is Interesting.LNG, however, is more complicated to use, and is not widely available. LNG fueling stations require complex cryogenic equipment.LNG is also more hazardous than CNG. One safety concern results from the need for LNG vehicles to vent off fumes. LNG vehicles do not normally come with LNG cooling systems, so LNG tanks tend to gain heat. The heat gains cause some of the LNG to vaporize. Eventually, the vapors need to be vented to avoid excessive pressure build ups. This is why LNG vehicles should never be parked in interior garages unless special ventilation is installed. LNG, being very cold, can also cause freeze burn. Contact with LNG, LNG vapors and the uninsulated surfaces of LNG fuel system components should also be avoided, and drivers and mechanics need to be trained in LNG safety.
  15. And WHY should it be prohibited ?? this type of system is used world wide safely if it is installed in the correct manner
  16. Would like to know to what standards these inspectors are working to what are there qualifications or is it who pays the best bribe, Normally all this would come out in a Public inquiry but not here its left to the police or a committee and as soon as its out of the public eye its forgotten or it takes 20 yrs and a slap on the wrist the apathy in this county has to change if Thailand is to move forward.
  17. Safety is everyone's responsibility, but this country's Attitude towards safety is the problem, not only the individuals understanding of safety protocols but the government does not enforce any thing in this regard, Thais are good at forming a committee but that's as far as it goes no commitment. There is no public safety in Thailand lives are cheap here, those kids have lost there lives for nothing as this dies down it will be back to normal
  18. It is apathy towards the lack of safety that's is the problem with this country, nobody cares !! lives are cheap !
  19. Little kids losing there lives for lack of Safety, The safety Attitude in Thailand is non existing, It is everybody's responsibility for Safety. The Apathy of Thai's towards Safety in this county is really unbelievable and this is squarely the blame of governments, and now we have a typical knee jerk reaction Inspect the rest of NGV systems To What ??? What are the standards Who are the qualified Inspectors What about the unregistered NVG vehicles, but Nothing will happen the little kids have lost there lives for nothing 3rd world country lives are cheap
