Would like to know to what standards these inspectors are working to what are there qualifications or is it who pays the best bribe, Normally all this would come out in a Public inquiry but not here its left to the police or a committee and as soon as its out of the public eye its forgotten or it takes 20 yrs and a slap on the wrist the apathy in this county has to change if Thailand is to move forward.

Safety is everyone's responsibility, but this country's Attitude towards safety is the problem, not only the individuals understanding of safety protocols but the government does not enforce any thing in this regard, Thais are good at forming a committee but that's as far as it goes no commitment. There is no public safety in Thailand lives are cheap here, those kids have lost there lives for nothing as this dies down it will be back to normal

It is apathy towards the lack of safety that's is the problem with this country, nobody cares !! lives are cheap !

Is this due to faulty crane installation, or a poorly maintained second hand old crane being used, or a crane operative with very little (if any or even rudimentary training) and the understanding of safety standards and the cranes working limits, weight load, reach range, plus how weather conditions wind etc. can and does safe working conditions?
