  1. Happy to tell you that i had my first dose of AZ at Airport Plaza today, and i was impressed by the staff, and the process. Left with an appointment for Pfizer next month.

i am a bit disappointed in the quality of the hallucinations the shot inspired in my Orang brother who cohabits with me in this incarnation ... hoped for reliving scenes from his childhood in Borneo before the brutal kidnapping that trafficked him to the Pu Yai's private zoo/gulag in Thailand where he was known only by his number, 37 ... but, he stayed with his favorite food-related fantasies, like wrecking a four-star restaurant, and eating all the tiramisu and truffles.

i'd never tasted truffle before, didn't care that much for it.

Going forward, to receive payments or hold a balance in your PayPal Thailand account, you must be a business registered in Thailand and meet the PayPal Thailand “Know Your Business” account verification requirements. This includes providing your Thai business registration number and other business information.

If you’re already a business registered in Thailand, please log in to your PayPal account to review and accept the PayPal Thailand Relaunch Agreements.

If you’re not a business registered in Thailand, you may consider registering your business with the Thailand Ministry of Commerce and then open a new PayPal Thailand business account.

PayPal's new rules requiring a business account, and proof of Thai business registration to receive payments, or keep a balance ,,, are prohibitive for folks like me who are not doing business in country, but occasionally receive gifts from relatives, or friends outside Thailand.

Any alternatives you can recommend ?

    thanks, ~o:37;

Scales a wall with a loaded gun: he's in good shape ? The gun: who really owns it; where did it come from, given fire-arms are illegal except for police ?

63 year old Swiss overpowers him:  he's in good shape, martial artist ? Sathian: drunk or drugged ? Wife asleep: she doesn't wake up when she hears sounds of a fight; is she drunk, sedated, part of the plot ?

    Too many missing puzzle pieces.

In that case there is a quite simple fix.

Keep the land borders shut and only allow foriegn entry from international flights.

In Thailand there are no "simple fixes:" only rhetorical flights of fancy proclaimed as truth by various actors with different agendas.

Yours may be as valid as the others, although it begs the question of which is more vital to the economy: tourists, or cheap labor.

My "flight of fancy:" 100% control of borders with all incoming first checked for Covid, then, if they pass, if unvaccinated: vaccination + quarantine. No pass: no entry.

    Next up; rename Thailand "Xanadu."

  6. I just visited this forum today  a few minutes ago ... and ... t-shirt design was already being discussed: is that serendipity, or what ? ...because ...

When I found out this morning that Chiang Mai Province's Minister for Cultural Promotion, Khun Suwhat Haddaenowheah, announced a t-shirt design contest ... with the winning design to be mass produced, and given out free to expats and foreign tourists who were not yet vaccinated ... I was moved by his eloquent words:

"We maybe not get you big shot, but, we get you big t-shirt. You wear Thai people more friendly. "

Khun Suwhat was, of course, too tactful to say that one purpose of the design/shirt was to warn Thais.

I got to work in PhotoShop. The only Thai content not annotated in my prototype reads; "I have no money"  "ฉันไม่มีเงิน" at bottom.

I hope to see your entries, and I welcome any critique of my humble effort.

  7. Thanks, Khun Barley !

It is interesting to speculate as to what extent sheer population density (per unit area) is a critical factor in rates of incidence of new cases and/or reporting of new cases. Perhaps factoring in the average outside-the-home travel time per unit time, or the average contacts with people per day ?

Of course, if CM is sandboxed on August 1 all bets are off (I think a major earthquake is more likely).

While I hope the greater CM area never reaches the current incidence rates for BKK, maybe that's wishful thinking; and, as Mark Twain said: "There are two times in a man's life when he should not speculate, when he can't afford it and when he can."

This is a euphemism for places offering pelvic adjustments + bathing.

I forgot to mention that financial liposuction to remove excess bahty fat is usually part of the whole package.

It seems that today, our esteemed mayor saw fit to personally board-up the only remaining food box in the city at ThaPae Gate, citing safety and CV prevention concerns.  The crowd of hungry people at this location has grown significantly since the other boxes in town were closed down more than a few months ago.  Regular donors can only hope and pray that basic humanity to those truly in need is restored soon.

    Very sad !

    Partington,

100's of millions of people are taking doses of ivermectin right now that are greater and more frequent than what I outlined. This is happening all over in different areas of India, South America, etc. There have been zero reports of side effects and in every area it has been administered cases of covid have plummeted. I have looked at the graphs of multitude of countries and areas where it has been administered and it is remarkable.

    Evidence ? Sources ?
