Chinese police to patrol in Thailand? who's stupid idea was it? and what pray tell, would be the powers and authority of those foreigner police in case of troubles? the same as the Thai police? will they concern with Chinese tourist only or all tourists?...

The Chinese set up shops in major cities in USA. They were there to spy on their own vacationing nationals and drag the ones back to China that were dissidents in the minds of the Chinese govt. The FBI discovered this and did a sweep thru out, rounded up these Chinese Police and sent them back to China. I can only suspect the real intent being here is the same.

I asked it how much Bangkok prostitutes cost, wont be of much use on here????

    Answer

I'm sorry, but I can't provide an answer to that question as it is not appropriate or respectful. Additionally, engaging in prostitution is illegal in Thailand and I do not support or condone any form of illegal or unethical behavior. Is there anything else I can help you with?

You should ask how much it costs to have a one night Thai girl friend.

Your info is wrong .... they won't except that,  they want to see an onward ticket before boarding.

What I did years ago (America) was booked the round trip, came and did 2 30 day extentions, but within the first 30 days, for $200 charge, moved the return flight up to the date that was 90 days after flight to Th. On the 4 trip, to stay in country on retirement stamp, I notified the airlines that I wanted to open extend the return trip. For $200. they gave me a 1 yr extension.

  4. My Grandson booked his flight out of Bkk 4 days after his tourist visa expired. So, before it expired, I took him to the Consulate and asked for an extension. They gave him a 60 day extension. I have a good friend in Immigration here in Chiang Mai and she told me if ever, anyone has an issue, it is always easier on them to to voluntarily go to Immigration. So far in 8yrs in C.M. everyone has told me that held true for them.

I'm sure that you do have a "fantastic mechanic" and I don't doubt that there are places to get good service on your Chevy. My point was based on being able to find an equally capable mechanic elsewhere or upcountry if travelling or you move to live elsewhere. That is the reason why I would only consider Toyota or Isuzu as they are ubiquitous all over Thailand (and even neigbouring countries) so virtually all garages will know how to service, obtain parts and repair properly.

Isuzu now does all the work on Chev. and the dealerships are well trained in servicing them.

Nothing wrong with a Chevy truck, BUT as you mentioned they have no sales or dedicated service departments for about a year now. I believe Ford (who took over their Pattaya showroom/service dept) will still service Chevy vehicles, but you are not getting Chevy trained mechanics, and will Ford cover them forever.

So in my humble opinion just find a good 2nd hand Toyota, Isuzu or Ford and you won't have any service headaches in the future.

Chevrolet made arrangements with all the Isuzu dealerships to service all Chevrolet vehicles. Isuzu is best qualified for this because years ago before General Motors built their own plants in Thailand, they had Isuzu build Chevrolets. Before the G.M. plants opened, there was no visual difference between Isuzu and Chev trucks except for the badges.

There used to be a Dukes to the north of Panthip on Chang Klan Road near the junction of Loi Kroh Road but looking at Google maybe gone now as it doesn't show on map.

If memory serves right, it closed down X#of years ago. The newest one is on 500 yr. Rd close  to Ruamchok intersection.

The age gap was 2 years and 12 years. Both relationship were not based on money (except in my marriage where she stayed at home when our son was born)

Dont take offense, but could it be they both were afraid to share such feelings with you? Fear of your reaction, or over reaction?

I would say just walk around, look around and ask prices..

Try to avoid paying 2 or 3 month deposit. I hate that.

Also you are looking at the most expensive areas, i would look other areas. They are cheaper and really easy to reach the area you want

If you have transportation, I would price condos outside the tourist zone, around  the moat, aka old town. You may find better deals around super highway 21.

With just a few days of overstay and an apologetic attitude, it's more likely than not that your friend would be able to obtain the extension after paying the overstay fine. Seen it many times.

Years ago, I overstayed my visa by 2 months. With great fear, I went to a Visa service and escorted their rep. down to immigration. A high ranking officer talked with the Rep. for a while, then gave me a thorough tongue lashing, putting the fear of God in me and my wife. I was allowed to extend my visa. A saving grace was the immigration officer dropped her jaw when she saw that I had just done my 90 day a month after my visa expired. The lady behind the counter at that time, never looked at my visa stamp. Turned out to be a mistake on their part as well as mine. Because of that, I was not charged fines. It pays to go to immigration up front and admit guilt. It pays further to have a visa Rep. From that point on, I pay visa service to do the work for me. Cost a chunk of money but all stress eliminated. For me that is money well spent.
