His campaign does, people around him do. Same goes for people that did/do business with him.

And yet, only the HRC related emails are exposed.

Given that Trump is, potentially at least, the next POTUS, seems like Wikileaks are oddly quiet about him. And of course, again, always, not a word on Putin.

HRC was the only one using an insecure, illegal server is probably the reason.

i think this is the feeblest of reasons I've heard for Brexit - and one that keeps coming up - the concept of nationalism is such a dated concept linked so closely to racism and all that comes with it. it's a pity that these folk can't see what thr world is really like these days - lets just hope this is the last convulsion of a dying dogma

This is the feeblest of retorts. The racism card. Played again and again. How dare you! You don't know me. How dare you call me a racist.

Giving absolute power to "appointed" not elected officials is crazy enough, let alone those appointed officials appointing other officials and then by an unaccountable entity.

No, I'll stick with what we have. Elected representatives in local and county councils, reporting to central government in Westminster. Not appointed bureaucrats in EU regional assemblies reporting to other appointed bureaucrats in Brussels.

Yes, about half that but that's our subs for lots of things. I think it's been good for us. Less than 0.4% of GDP for peace? Cheap at twice the price!

Considering all the other wastes of money, yes, that's not terrible.

Not bovvered about the money (they only print it), am bovvered about being dragged into a total federal EU with all our local and central govt gone.

If you have a Samsung it's easy to root using odin and a good root software just google how to root (water your phone model is) then download an bloat ware remover app such as titanium plus or root uninstaler. or if your real want  all bloatware gone look for a new rom  for your phone again google how to flash a rom onto (your phone) it's pretty easy with step by step guides.

Depends on who the carrier is. Mine's a Samsung Note 4 unlocked but on AT&T (US model, but grey market for the UK). No root is available.

    Oops..

Sorry I am 42.. i would have expected people my age to be able to handle those things. Then again.. give me a dril and a spirit level and a board and it will still not come out perfect. We all have our good and bad sides.

It's all this bloatware that does my head in. Can't seem to get rid of it and it has you swiping the screen in all directions endlessly. Tried rooting the thing using Kingo Root, no go.

I'm useless with a hammer unless it's for smashing "smart" phones.

Nissan was hardly going to shift production while the UK is still in the EU and terms of exit unknown. Having the PM agree to pay a blank cheque for the negative consequences of BREXIT if and when, is good enough for now. Sure there is an issue now of precedence and other companies will have taken note.

You'd have thought the drop in the Pound was justification enough.

The problem with 'Boris Island' is the SS Richard Montgomery.' 1,400 tonnes, at least, of unexploded WWII high explosive. near an airport is not something to ignore!

For various reasons, all those concerned want expansion in the South East. Brits going on holiday are happy to use a regional airport; but others want London. Sorry guys, but that's the way it is.

So that leaves Heathrow or Gatwick.

Wherever the new runway is built, people are going to lose their homes.

But at Heathrow the new runway is also going to cross the M25!

Those, who like me, use it and anyone who listens to traffic reports know that everyday during the peak, especially evening peak, this section of the M25 slows to a crawl; often a complete stop. Even worse if there is a minor shunt which closes a lane.It is the busiest section and, possibly apart from the Dartford crossing, it is the section most prone to lengthy delays.

Building a tunnel for the motorway to pass under the runway, or the alternative suggestion of a bridge and ramp for the runway to pass over the motorway  will be extremely expensive and cause major disruption to what is already the busiest section of motorway in the country.

This part of West London already suffers from major air pollution problems. Those in favour of expanding Heathrow say that the extra pollution from increased air traffic will be offset as road traffic becomes less polluting, keeping the pollution level roughly the same as now. Surely the aim should be to improve air quality rather than simply replace one source of pollution with another!

I'm not saying that Gatwick doesn't also have it's problems; but when one looks at all the pros and cons of each, it seems to me that Gatwick is a far more logical choice than Heathrow.

The tunnel only needs to be a tent like structure, like that Dome thing.

I genuinely don't notice. I speak my mind without fear or favour. I try to debate with equanimity.

I did suffer an unpleasant ad hominem attack a while ago which upset me. The Mods dealt with it and I am very grateful for that.

One thing we should all be alert to is cross cultural awareness. We have different acceptance levels of humour. As a Yorkshireman I have had to see the funny side of many grim things. I remember the time when .........?

I learned me a new word today.

Some of the older generation will have a problem with smart phones... my mom just can't master it (she is happy playing games on her IPAD) but the smarphone i gave her is too much for her. Dad has no problem with smart phones but does not want to explain it to mom all the time (quite understandable).

Some people will just never get it.. you can't miss what you never known so if you lived good without it no problem not having it.

    I'm 41.

  12. OP, same as that. "Smart" phones are for the smart, I just can't get my head round the things. They irritate me.

Was going to get the kids one of those playstation things for Christmas . . . banned. By the old woman. "We'll not have this thing in the house! Kids won't go out to play." Saved a few quid at least.

Some very talented expats work(ed) in HK; however, there was a certain type that gravitated to the colony, historically the black sheep sent off to make something of themselves; another group in search of the remnants of the Suzie Wong scene, also the FILTH ( Failed In London, Try Hong Kong). Financial Services is something of a magnet to these types.

I think you just hurt a certain persons feelings. :giggle:

Brown was the worst chancellor and PM since WWII.

I have sympathy for young people trying to buy property, but it is not the interest rate that is stopping them, mortgages were running at 14%+ when I bought my first place in north London 1982.  The price of houses where there is work is the problem.

    Trouble is arithmetic see, George.

If you're struggling to pay the mortgage when the base rate is 0.25% and it moves up to 0.5%, that's in effect (I know it ain't quite this simple) a doubling of the borrowing costs. If the rate is 10% and it moves up to 11%, that's a 10% increase. It's all a balance between capital debt and servicing costs.

See you bought at 14% and the rate came down making it all possible (although I think they peaked at 15.5% during the ERM debacle, another EU inspired nightmare). Right now, although negative IR's are being discussed, which indicates a complete collapse of the debt based monetary system, in reality IR's have bottomed and yet house prices are shockingly high as a ratio to income. Another massive re-balancing that surely has to take place.

This is how silly its all got . . .
