So...if they were really concerned about money leaving the country, wouldn't they want to encourage retirement and general tourism in Thailand rather than doing everything in their power to discourage it?

Just exactly how many "wealthy" foreigners do they think will pony up this kind of money let alone how many actually qualify for their scheme? One rai at a time...it would have to be millions before they get close to buying out the country. I'll be shocked if the numbers are even in the hundreds. -

"the Manila Senate building will be on “total lockdown” to facilitate the full disinfection of the facility..." It was shown scientifically early on that COVID is not transmitted on surfaces yet those in power need to prove they are doing "something". Morons
