  1. Rumour has it the Qatari's are interested in a takeover?

Yes and very worrying. I don't want Spurs to be an oil sheikhs plaything, especially not the ones that bought the world cup. Joe Lewis will only sell if the deal relates to the new stadium and increased revenues but with that amount of oil money you just make the offer that can't be refused.

In my days at the Bridge I still remember a whole page in the program telling us not to sing yid or any other anti Semitic song as it was racist

    Threats of removal bans etc

Then you guys turned up marching along singing yid army yid army and we laughed our balls off. even more than when we read the program. It was your marching song

    So you got back.

only a poor little yido , famous Tottenham Hotspurs went to Rome to see the pope , we've all got foreskins why ain't you and others I can't remember.

Now I don't go to PL matches any more

    Can't stand seating

But if you still have that chant how's it gonna change

    Yid army wih muslim money

  2. The Vietnam posts are interesting but I don't really think about WWII (except in the way that WWII is an extension of WWI kind of thing. Vietnam is an extension of WWII in SEA)

I do have a few questions that I don't know the complete answers to. Thailand was invaded by whom on the Allies side? What happened during the invasion? Who did the Thais surrender to? How many Thais were tried for war crimes and what was the result? How long after the invasion of Thailand by the Allies did it take to release the prisoners on the Death Railway project?

It is my understanding that Thailand seized the assets of British teak companies during the war; did they give them back?

The USA bombed Bangkok with B-29 Super fortresses to practice for the fire bombing on Tokyo; why didn't Bangkok burn down like Tokyo?

    Probably been raining and flooded

  3. Agree Oldgit

Viable alternatives but you don't want to throw them into the cauldron in the middle of the season

Ivanovic umm I rate him at centre half but prefer as flying wing back which he's hardly shoddy at.

This gives an extra big fella for defensive and attacking set pieces and some one who can revert to centre half in the event of a sending off or injury.

  4. Agree with you a little champers

But Terry's got at best another season ??

If Cahil goes then we'd need 2 centre halfs and our defence would be shot for a season whilst they got to know each other ,the keeper ,full backs and defensive midfielder

Who would you replace them with

To me it's a difficult one

Matic is doing his job defending his centre halfs

They're never gonna be the quickest legs on the park

I'd keep Cahill as there will at least be continuity when Terry retires

    Open to other ideas though

  5. Yes I kind of think brown in pan finish in sauce is the standard Italian American method.

But back to the OP, for some reason those balls look deep fried to me.

I guess you could probably tell by tasting them.

Yep I think you're right on that

If I wasn't gonna do my usual way (this is just an idea I haven't tried yet)

I'd brown them , stick them on a skewer , BBQ and then put the sauce over them

  6. "Time"

My favourite Floyd period is from dark side to the final cut

Out of that period favourite albums "the Wall" and "Animals" which I always thought was very under rated by the critics

Never really got on with Final cut

It didn't seem to me Floyd at all but maybe I'm too thick to get the meaning in the lyrics

Good guitar but not the best

to me it was all the tracks that weren't good enough for the Wall or Roger's ego wanting to make something similar to the wall

Just my HO . Quite happy to be. Educated further

  7. You wrote, "As for Pattaya. I am not a fan, neither is Mrs Frolly, neither are the Frolettes. So i cannot speak for bars in Pattaya."

For me, I like Pattaya as does Mrs. Thailiketoo and the toolets. So I can't speak to the holier than thou folks that Pattaya freaks out.

I assume you see the sarcasm of my post but feel it is not justified.

Every town in Thailand is a little like Pattaya and Pattaya is a little like every town in Thailand and people who live in Thailand for any long period of time usually figure that out.

I like the night life. Mrs Thailiketoo likes the shopping and the toolets like the water park. How could you have a Thai family and not like Pattaya? The movies have bed seating and the waitstaff crawls on their knees to bring you coke and popcorn during the movie; now that's service !

new that's worth a tip in my books

  9. then rent

and stow away your bike until the day when a chance arises to register it.

    or sell.

    or. . . find a new GF

    etc etc

one thing for sure, on tourist Visa you cannot register a bike. Some people manage to open a bank account while on tourist visa, but most fail.

Just take a step back from your expectations, rent a motosai and get along. Sad your GF left you in the rain. It's called life.

I see no way you can register the bike while on tourist visa.

Selling is an option, but not easy. Talk someone you trust in registering your bike, for a free dinner out every other month.......

no can't sell it was a pity buy it was an arsenal m/c and needed changing to a proper club

that changes the whole situation, why didn't you say this in the start of the topic.

will a change of colours to FC Liverpool Red rise the chances for getting registerd ?

I have heard of many OP's who evaded being pulled over and fined, just saying they were 'poolians

ya gotta keep yer hands in your own pockets and wait for final results

    go hit the paint shop

We. Might have to have a real row now.I'm a west London Blue.

I wanna go to bed now

My original post was how to get a car registered in an under 50 year olds name

    And also s/h pickup advice

All you've been is can not on the TV but I'm looking for a visa where I can

    I will do

  12. i am fine doin kickin the keyboard. In line with a few folks around the globe with whom I communicate eveery other day.

Lookit, I was here when I was 42, working and doing visa runs, my Motosai was on the name of a good friend (thai)

If you have been living here for 3 years, then maybe a few thai friends would do you the favour.

Better, get the right visa. A Non Imm B , Non Imm O , gives you the right to register a motosai.

Stop throwing dreams around, we don't need em

I fully understand that if you have pimped the bike, it has kinda value for you . .I had a few choppers and I would have kicked you into the can if you came over criticizing me for not getting the proper tag.

But that';s what life is about, gotta endure and sometimes fight

Understand where you're coming from and what you're saying

    I'm no newbie to Thailand

But I had a wife who walked of Actually drove of with everything

So please understand why I now want everything in my name alone
