  1. Friday night deadline this week chaps.
  2. 3-2 away against possibly the best Spanish club side around at the moment.....Entertaining stuff....good stuff, bad stuff and some strange stuff as well. Even had a VAR in our favour for once. Don't think our defence/mids like the yellow kit so hope we don't use it too often.???? Still; an important three points puts us in charge of what, on paper, looked the most difficult group in the competition. Alisson MOM for me but Fabinho played an important role in solidifying things in front of the defence in the second half. Felt a bit sorry for Griezmann getting a red but he should know that the Bobby F celebration should only take place after a goal is scored????
  3. A last minute fingertip save by LFC reserve keeper cost me five points! But was my own fault for putting a couple of expensive statues in my front three????
  4. Scores are up. Low scoring week this time around. BIGTOE3 takes the honours with 22 points. Closely followed by Jip99 with 21. Enough to again extend his lead in the Overall comp

  6. Jones and Thiago not travelling to Madrid. Jones will be fit for the weekend.
  7. As long as the injured players don't all play in the same position we'll cope fine.
  8. Similar situation to Jones. Torres picked up the injury in the 1st game, yet they played him in the 2nd game anyway. Have National teams not heard of x-rays or CT scans?
  9. Fabinho and Alisson will miss Watford and will meet the rest of the squad in Madrid prior to Champs League fixture. Thiago a doubt but TAA and Jota should both be available for tomorrow. Jones still injured and will also miss Watford ...despite under 21s bringing him on the other night!! effin internationals!!!
  10. Deadline for this week is 18:30 Thai time tomorrow lads.
  11. Agree to disagree....especially as the spanish get an extra break before next week's Champs League fixtures. As usual, English clubs involved are at a disadvantage.
  12. La Liga have cancelled games this weekend involving players late back from South America. Something Premiership should have done but they, and their money grabbing Sky/BT partners would have vetoed that idea!????
  13. Curtis played for Eng <21s last night setting up the winner so hopefully he will be fine. Not heard an update on TAA as yet. Update: TAA in training pics.
  14. Yep....Ronnie P....Changing allegiance perhaps?????
  15. Always welcome to open a Newcastle topic. I'm sure they'll be along soon.????
  16. Young Kaide Gordon has signed his first pro contract with us.....Might get in the first team sooner rather than later the way injuries are building up. Jones and Jota have joined the list but hopefully not too serious.????
  17. Will depend on the new manager's taste, but Coutinho could be one of the first buys IMO
  18. Brighton player arrested for sexual assault. Lots of talk on #twatter that Bissouma is the culprit. If true, that's one to cross off a number of top teams transfer plans.
  19. I thought he was still there till the end of the year! Chip Butty's ITK mate does suffer from occasional premature ejaculation. Some guy called Richard Arnold the MD is probable replacement when he does leave.
  20. Message for all players who may use the various 'FPL Scout Sites' to assist them in the game. Reports on #twatter are stating that one or more of these sites have been hacked. A number of managers have had teams deleted, passwords changed or worse. If you have used any of these sites in the past, to protect your personal information, including your FPL team, it would be advisable to change your FPL password as soon as possible. It would be a good idea to avoid logging onto any of these sites for the foreseeable future especially any that request personal info or details of your FPL team ID. Cheers Wilai
  21. Scores are up. Well done Mr BJ, this week's Mo Salah with 38 points. Kadilo was runner up with 33. Jip99, with 31, slightly increases his lead in the Overall comp.
  22. They went so far back I could have sworn Frank Lampard was in the dugout!????

  24. Started ok but fell away badly after 10 minutes. Far too passive and let City run the game in the first half. Passing was as bad as I've seen for a while and too many long balls. Really missed TAA as poor Mo was left completely isolated and Jimmy M struggled against Foden. Should probably have had a red unless the ref saw it as exaggeration from Silva and/or he was already giving a foul for Henderson's challenge a second earlier. Either way, he was lucky to stay on. Thankfully, JK sorted things at half time and we were much better 2nd half. Two brilliant goals from Mane (Mo's assist was sublime) and a GOTS contender from the man himself, (when he seemed to beat half their team in the space of five yards) saw us twice take deserved leads only for City to pull things back through Foden's well taken effort and De Bruyne's deflected shot (thought Alisson had it covered until it hit Matip). Fabinho had what for a split second looked like an open goal to win it, but was maybe taken by surprise and Rodri made a crucial block. All in all, a great game to watch and a draw was probably a fair result in the end. These two and Chelsea look streets ahead of the rest of the league so far at least (apologies to any Brentford/Brighton lads out there).???? Now we have two weeks of International dross to put up with...Every silver lining has a cloud????
