  1. It's a multiple re-entry permit you are looking for, not a visa.

It is surely "easier" to get it at the airport if you are flying out.  If you are not flying out you cannot get it there.  If you do they will fill in the form for you and to the photo for THB200.

For an appointment at CW go here....https://gov.immigration1.queueonline.net/appointment/appointment.html

You'll need TM8, Photo, copies of passport visa/extension and entry stamps.  And it's THB3800.

  2. I did my first extension recently in Bangkok, this was my list of documents;

    TM7 application form

Copy of passport photo page and all stamped pages - they didn't keep any other than the photo page and last entry page.

    Copy of non-O e-visa

    TM30

    Apartment lease

3 additional forms they gave me to fill in (overstay acknowledgement, some other things, didn't actually read them)

    Bank letter

Bank statement (I gave 12 months where 3 should have been enough but why invite issues)

Copies of bank book account page and last page showing a transaction today

Others will know better if there are any specific issues relating to the change of reason for extension from Work to Retirement.  You'll of course need THB800k in the bank for 2 months at least when you get the first extension.

I occasionaly keep tabs on my glucose level ( I do not think I have diabetes but at my age I like to monitor).

This morning on waking up  I tested with my meter - result 6. (fasting)

I had one piece of toast with raspberry jam.

2 hours later I did another glucose test - result 4.9

I would have expected it to have risen but it went down.

    Search "Reactive hypoglycemia".

wait until youve done it a  few  times and report  back, especially when they change things form last year, or just make up some new crazy idea. I was once told that as the corner of my bed was not in the photo for marriage visa that It had to be redone , a drive of 40km.despite previous years being fine.

Sure, I know how things change.  I used to get non-O multi's in the UK just by being able to name a Thai person.  I'd still be happily doing that but unfortunately that door closed long ago.

Can he just buy an onward ticket that is valid for 48 hours and upload the booking reservation to the online application?

Yes.  Maybe better to buy a fully refundable ticket or even a cheap real ticket and bin it later.

About the photo how can he upload it? It's fine to take a selfie with the phone?

    Yes

Can he just choose any job that he doesn't do?

They are really trying to put off tourists it seems.  No idea, just say anything reasonably credible.

Didn't work just now in Pattaya, two 7 Elevens, did you try there?

No, not in Pattaya.  Bangkok, Ubon yes, maybe some more, I have the idea it's down to staff awareness rather than anything else as I have experienced the first line staff having to seek advice from above to get it working.

Yes in 7-11 and several other stores around Bangkok and beyond.  Mine is using a Wise debit card so its the only way to pay using that in 7-11. The wprd "tap" and gesturing with the phone seems to be enough to get them to activate the reader.  Really anywhere accepting contactless (as opposed to QR) payments should accept.

Exactly. I know that Krungthai  will charge you up to 1500 for sending money to a foreign country. But receiving? Haven't had time yet to go to Krungthai, will go in soon.

You don't need to go in.  It is clear what has occurred.  Next time just tell the sender to send you THB.
