  1. Just a friendly word of advise:

    1) when using any ATM look at the card entry slot, it should be solidly attached to the machine and be of solid material, not something attached on.

    2) when entering your number you must cover over the keyboard with your other hand or an object (the camera they use is tiny and usually well hidden).

    3) Look out for suspicious characters hanging around the ATM

    4) if in doubt move on to an alternative machine.

    :)

  2. Thaksin's proposal 1) stop military-police operation 2) lift SOE 3) open talks w/ redshirts 4) reconciliation w/ all parties involved

    NNA

    proposal 5

remove Seh Daengs life support so that he cannot spill the beans about my revolutionary attempts to take over Thailand

THE NATION: Look like Thaksin is in action again. He has just proposed four ways to end the crisis. #NNA

THE NATION: Thaksin's proposal 1) stp military-police operation 2) lift SOE 3) open talks w/ redshirts 4) reconciliation w/ all parties involved #NNA

Taksin why don't you just shut the fuc_k up.

"Its bad enough already without him suturing things up all the time. Do we have to receive these silly quips from this criminal with verbal diarrhea"

Why does the media bother to publish these silly quotes".

  3. This post demostrate what PAD and their falangs lover think country should be like. Elite in charge everybody else can die.

what a fool you are to think killing solve anything. only reds now can think they one nil down in assassination and have to make effort to equalise.

Stupid stupid to want more death.

Oh look, the farang basher is back again. You wanna see a fool face the mirror. I only agree with your last sentence...

Has anyone thought it might have been one of the reds that pulled the trigger?

  4. Seh Daeng under police's detention at Vajira Hospital

Officers from the Thung Mahamek police station used an arrest warrant to put Maj Gen Khattiya Sawasdiphol under police detention at the Vajira Hospital.

He was arrested on charges of terrorism.

They're worried he might climb out the window.

He always had big ambition, he got a god like position with the red followers, now I think he going to go down to that hot fiery red place way below the hospital, he's not going out through the window!

  5. I can't believe all the people claiming it was the Military that shot the Terrorist. Surely nobody on this Forums was there and could not have seen anything. In short, there is only proof he was shot, but nothing to prove who did it. Some reports say the shot came from a building occupied by the Terrorists, so who really knows?

Blaming the Government or the Military is just irresponsible, and surely does not help to quiet the tensions.

I think it's a mystery sort of a "spontaneous" thing, just like spontaneous combustion... no one knows how it happened !

  6. I guess the long term repercussions will be disaster for many companies an the knock-on effect will be loss of employment, I live in Pattaya which is not really affected by the troubles but business is way down compared to last year.

But for retirees and people who don't need to work there is absolutely no problem in Pattaya.

Getting around Bangkok must be very hard right now and I am glad I don't need to go there!

    :)

  7. Let me get this straight ...Thaksin's extrajudicial killings of drug dealers were fiercely condemned by the Democrats. Now the army has shot a General in the head while he was giving an interview to an international media reporter.

I assume he was given a fair trial before he was shot?

EXACTLY some posters on here are a disgrace and how they have not been suspended for some of the comments I will never know - whatever your views shooting an unarmed guy in the head while he gives a TV interview is disgraceful and shows how this government is handling the crisis.

    The end justifies the means.

He was an enemy of thr state, he was a terrorist, he was a dangerous Gob Sh!te.

Shooting him has probably saved hundreds of lives in the long term.

Take off your red coloured spectacles, and stop being over dramatic.

He had lots of enemies I am sure there would have been hundreds if not thousands who would have pulled the trigger, it really was just a matter of time.

  8. Shooting this guy in full view of the international media was an incredibly stupid thing to do, and it won't solve anything. The reds are armed to the teeth, with a gun in almost every Thai house. Driving this conflict underground by shooting people has far reaching consequences that are too awful to contemplate.

The only way out of this mess is through dialogue, democratic process and unbiased justice.

    Well said.

The Army shooting people has not solved the problems in the South, it has made things worse

If you remove the reds from Rajaprasong tomorrow and use brutal force, I think you can be sure that bombings and shootings will rock Bangkok every week for months and perhaps years to come.

Thai's work on the principle of "an eye for eye".

This all stated with the PAD in 2006 followed by the illegal coup, and it will get more "tit for tat" the longer it goes on.

Indeed, Thais most certainaly work on the principle of an eye for an eye.

Abhisit and Suthep will be most likely be assasinated (by the pros, not the amatuers) as a result of their own stupidity by ordering the killings.

it shows your own meagre level of intelligence if you think that Abhisit or Suthep will have signed or uttered any order, to anyone, that says anything like '' off you go out and kill Seh Daeng''

At least the army looks like its starting to do the job it was assigned to do, in a proper democracy the armed forces are there to protect the majority that what they should do.

  9. The exact wording was,

"This time, we really, really, really really, really really really, really, no, seriously, really, really really really start preparing to consider cracking down on the reds. Or at least pretend to."

    :)

Yes I totaly agree with your sentiments, and I guess the goverment continues to hope the reds will say amongst themselves "Oh my god they must be serious this time! I am so scared... we better get out of here NOW!" NOT!

    :D

  10. How far does this extend? I live on the edge of the protest in a condo on Petchaburi rd. Am I going to lose my power and water?

Large condos like yours have emegency deisel generators, usually for the lifts and basic lighting but can be switched over to supply rooms. You should talk to your landlord or residence management to make your deal with them!!!

    :)

  11. So Khun Suthep surrendered and there was no charge, so he was free to go, he has done exactly what the reds demanded.

Now I hear the red criminals are going to surrender at 2 today (Tuesday) two things can happen - 1) the law will be upheld they wont be given bail and they wont be alowed to communicate to the outside world from the jail, then we can all move on... send the country folks home, hold fair and honest elections in November, and all live happily ever after.

But sadly that wont happen will it? TIT... 2) A multitude of slip-ups will deliberately be orchestrated by the reds in brown uniforms, making the arrest null and void through whatever means they can. the wiggs might get bribed, etc. etc...

So the baby games will continue for ever and ever...

    :D:):D

  12. THE NATION: @ktnews: Seh Daeng: I've talked to Thaksin. Rally will go on with "2nd generation leaders" named -Kwanchai, Arisman, Suporn, Vaipoj

THE NATION: Seh Daeng to red leaders: "If u want to leave, leave. We don't care."

I guess the militant members of the movement aren't eager to go to prison. The main leaders are ready to leave they have lots to lose by staying on. They could easily get themselves elected in November and get in on the gravy train of Thai politics. The second tier leadership seems less than happy to take the fall for all the bad stuff they've done. The real reds and the fake reds seem to have a serious problem, by setting a date for the end of the protest the top leaders will reveal that they have lost control. Nice to see them sniping at each other for a change.

Yes they seem to be behaving like a pack of street dogs. :)

  13. "Somchai claims Thaksin supports peace plan

Former Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat claimed Monday that his brother-in-law, former PM Thaksin Shinawatra supported the peace plan offered by Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva.

He said he and Thaksin would like the reconciliation process to start".

Who the fuc_k cares what Taksin thinks, he's a bloody criminal along with most of the red shirts. :)

  14. The thing that always gets me about Thai law is the cash equivalent. 1 year in prison or 20,000 baht <deleted>.

I would go for the 20K

Read it again. 1 year in prison, 20k or both.

What they forgot to mention is if you are rich you get out on bail for 10 years after which the case is void and you get the bail money back probably with interest.

If you are farang you can usually say by-by to your bail money which is also likely to be much higher that the equivalent Thai person on the same income. :)

  15. Another law for the police "not to enforce". lol Reds and Yellows - pay attention!

No I partly disagree... they will enforce it, just that the "spot fines" will go into their pockets.

Of course it depends on the cops own political persuasion when it comes to what he really does.

    :)

  16. This OZ navy seal has two jobs, Teacher/Charity worker. He forgot to mention being an Activist too.

He really needs to be deported and his passport stamped persona non gratis - Does any reader here know how to complain to the correct autoritiy?

  17. If he's the worst element, why isn't the government arresting him? If the government is capable of arresting him, why aren't they? And if they're not, why are they still playing government?

And then they ask Thaksin to stop phoning in ...and when he finally does stop, they're literally making him phone in again by saying he's dead.

It really seems that they don't want him to stop. As funny as it may seem.

no need to arrest him if he's dead.

    post-64844-1272867546_thumb.jpg

    :D:):D:D:D

  18. He says he isn't dead, but can we believe him?

    post-64844-1272866750_thumb.jpg

Heres the proof, Dubai corriners office has been quoted as saying "We will be shipping the body back to join the red shirt ranks as its leader, as the protesters have been asking for more dead people to join the rally".

    :)
