Why have a pcx if you cruise only 60 km? You are safer in my opinion to keep pace or exceed the traffic flow as you will reduce potentially dangerous situations such as passing traffic. I have ridden 100cc, 125cc at speeds of 100-110km h and never had problems but I always make sure the tires, brakes, etc. are well maintained.

In Thailand they may not get paid much but everyone gets a uniform and a whistle.

90 percent of those vehicles sold in Isaan and other parts will be repossessed. You can blame the face culture and the Thaksin govt for providing huge cash rebates to appease the Japanese auto makers after the floods with no thought of traffic flow or infrastructure much less ability to pay.

I really do have mixed feelings about tipping although I do it. One should really only tip if the service is good not out of necessity. I feel many owners of businesses rake in big profits from their meals then expect the patrons to hlep pay for their staff instead of them paying the staff a decent wage.

You have nothing to worry about. They are loose again at the border with tourist visas. You can do multiple back to back but my info is don't do more than three at the same consulate. Tourist numbers are down and they have wisely decided not to chase anymore away.

1. It is a Thais culture. (Normal for Thais)

2. It will show your stable life.(your back ground)

3. It can be guarantee for your future wife's family.(make sure you can look after their daughter)

4. It shows how much value of your future wife.(her basic life and job)

5. For the face if your future wife's family rich. (social life)

1) It is a silly tradition greatly inflated for farangs and seldom used by regular Thais.

2) It will show how gullible you can be for many more requests for cash in the future.

3) It will quickly be spent on the newest electronics or perhaps a car or a lot of whisky.

4) It shows how pathetic it can be to have to buy a wife.

5) Thais will laugh and high five but pretend to show respect when you are around.

Some of them are racist some are not. Usually the simple, not well off thais are the ones that are not racist but nice curious and welcoming.

On the flip side it's usually the wealthy inbred that are stuck in their own illusion and tend to dislike anything that's not pure thai.

Very isolated incident so no conclusion can be drawn but I would say many Thais are racist or xenophobic. It's a fact Jack. Did they ask you to buy a round of drinks after your welcome or introduce you to a niece lol.
