    Hi i am in town on the 26 of January which is the date of the Chinese new year (year of the ox) i have a few mates from the UK with me and would like to show them some Chinese new year celebrations dragon dance ect. Anyone know of anything special going on in Pattaya thanks for any help.

    After two years of marriage some cracks are beginning to become visible. We have been in the uk only 3 months and things are not looking good. she says she wont and does not want to go back to thailand. I am hopeing that we can sort things out because we have an 8 month old baby girl. What i want to ask what would hapen to my wife if we do split can she stay or will she have to go back to thailand. If she stays can she get any benifits to help her because i dont have enough money to pay for two separate lots of bills and accommodation. This is a big worry for me as i dont want to lose my baby girl but if me and her mum can not work it out i dont know what to do. Has any one been through a split with a baby in england on a marriage visa or has any one got any advice

    We have to take a trip to England soon but my wife is so frightened of flying. She is especially frightend because we are flying at night over water Bangkok via dubai then England. I dont want to give her any sleeping pills because we have a six month old baby to take care of. Anyone have any ideas how can reassure that we will be ok and that a plane traveling thousands of miles in the air at hundreds of miles an hour is safe :o . Has anyone had experience of traveling with a person with fear of flying any tips to help her stop anxiety greatly appreciated thanks by the way we are flying with emirates on 777 300ER and 200

    If you can get all (or most) of your money back, Id go another airline, but when you cancel just make them aware you are only cancelling for this reason and then see what they can do. Good luck.

    I would but i only have 19 days before i am due to go and the refund they tell me takes 45 days. And i would like the £2000 back in my hand before i go i realy am stuck now. It makes me so angry that i have paid all that money for a comfortable seat and bed for the baby and now she has to set on our laps for 14 hours i find Emirates lack of concern about all of this absolutely disgusting. If this is how they treat there business class traveler poor veray poor never again

    Ok this is my poblem thought i would I would treat us to a little comfort as we are traveling with my six month old baby so i paid for business class tickets to england for a small trip back home cost £2000 ouch :D . When booking i stressed that i need a bulk head seat with a basinet (baby bed) no problem said the guy so i got the ticket with my seat numbers whent home and looked on Emirates web site at the seating plan and my seats on the plan are at the back in the middle not bulk head :o . So i call Emirates and tell them about my seating and the guy tells me no sir your seats are at the front bulk head so i tell to check the seating map after a hour holding on the phone he comes back and says uh oh ok what do i want to do then. This pisses me off besause they dont say sorry for ######ing up so i tell him to give me the seats i asked for he then tells me sorry sir as the plane is comeing from oz all the front seats are booked up. What the frig so why when i booked did they tell me i had a bulk head seat and now i dont :D someone lied to me to fill seats :D . So now i have two options one cancel the tickets and wait 45 days for the refund whch is shit because i am supposed to fly in 19 days option two take the flight and have a crying baby on my knee all the way not my idea of a comfortable business class trip. If i do take the flight i hope she keeps everyone awake as its a night flight so the Emirates staff get lots of complaints. i have been to the Emirates office at Asok in Bangkok with no joy in typical Thai style no one is admitting to the mistake and are of no help. So i feel i have been let down by Emirates in a big way and at worst lied to to fill seats and to date no one has said sorry to me maybe because this would be admitting to a mistake so what can i do any help please :D

    Emirates in Bangkok has just cocked up my business class booking for me and my family and i am absolutley fuming. So can anyone give me e mail address or numbers for complaints the Bangkok office is being veray ignorant about it all so i wish to let them know how i feel about the way i have been treated by them thanks for any help

    Hi guys just a quick question i am of to Beijing this week and i want to know how much i should take to spend. I have booked my hotel plane ect allready so i was just wanting to know how much i should take for sightseeing shoping and eating. And does anyone know if the weekend market in Beijing is open at this time of year and of any other good places to shop for trinkets thanks for any help :D

    In China/Beijing nothing ever closes.... :o why on earth would they close ?

    Just sold my apartment block lease in Pattaya for six and a half million baht i got back what i put in. It did not lose any money but with the new baby it did not make enough to give all 3 of us a good quality of life in Thailand long term. And it was on a 3 plus 3 plus 3 lease and i was never happy having that much money invested in a rented place. I never had any major problems running the place no mafia kick backs or police harassment but i was ripped off a lot in small ways everyday it has not put me of runing a business in Thailand in fact i learnt a lot. We are going to live back in the uk soon to live and we will return to thailand to start a business again later but this time knowing a bit more than we did before and next time there will be no way i will rent a property to run the business from we would have to own the building for peace of mind

    The OP wants to arrive in Birmingham or Nottingham. I suggest you fly direct to Amsterdam with KLM. EVA Air or China Airlines and fly Amsterdam to East Midlands or Birmingham. It's just that you will probably have to buy separate tickets as only KLM sell through tickets BKK - BHX.

    Anyone comment on business class with KLM. EVA or China Airlines?

    Yes Nottingham would be my final destination i am not to botherd about a cheap flight i just want a more comfortable and quick way because of the baby. There does seem to be mixed reports about Emirates on a lot of the other boards to so any information on KLM. EVA or China Airlines route to Nottingham in business class would be gratefully received thanks
