at least mazo is half funny. Your just boring

    If you say so.

    I can spell "you're" though.

    I wanted to say that.......

What is it with the 'spelling freaks' on these forums. Such bad manners and doesnt give Thaivisa a very welcoming feeling. Makes newbies feel uneasy posting on the forums, worrying someone will bite their head off if something is spelt wrong. Yuk. Y'all must have pretty boring lives if this is all you have to do all day.

dyslexia |disˈleksēə| noun a general term for disorders that involve difficulty in learning to read or interpret words, letters, and other symbols, but that do not affect general intelligence. DERIVATIVES dyslectic |-ˈlektik| adjective & noun dyslexic |-ˈleksik| adjective & noun ORIGIN late 19th cent.: coined in German from dys- [difficult] + Greek lexis ‘speech’ (apparently by confusion of Greek legein ‘to speak’ and Latin legere ‘to read’ ).

  3. By the looks of him he will end his days in a thai prison and for what stupid stupid man.

    You ever been hungry? :D

How can you defend such a loser with that statement. Yes i have had hard times in my life but i have never resorted to crime him and me come from countrys that have adequate welfare system and work if you look for it. The guy was just a criminal looking for an easy life he was hardly living the life of a poor man was he. I am sorry if i sound hard but why should people who work hard for there money feel sorry for a fool like him. I dont know his background but he was stealing to support a lavish lifestyle not just to survive no excuse for that :o

  4. What is the best explanation for the thai word gik it seems to be veray popular with younger thais. As i understand it is a new slang word for casual girlfriend a <deleted> budy or a young mistress

  5. I seem to remember posting a message along these lines sometime last year, but this issue is getting out of hand again, to the point of being ludicrous.

Traffic lights are installed at key intersections throughout the city, but are never used except as flashing reds or ambers. Even some lights that have been working for ages are now being turned off. For the life of me, I cannot even begin to comprehend how a city can spend the money to install signals, but just let them sit there unused while traffic in the city is getting worse day by day. As someone who drives a car, this is very frustrating, and dangerous.

These are the intersections that I've noticed that have non-working signals:

    1) Thappraya and Theprassit Roads (was working for a little while months ago)

    2) Thappraya and Pratamnak Hill Roads

    3) Thappraya and 3rd Road Viaduct

    4) 3rd Road and Pattaya Soi 17

    5) Thappraya and 2nd Road/Lower Pratamnak Road

    6) Pattaya Klang & Soi Arunothai/ Soi Yumae (Carrefour)

    7) Sukhumvit Road & Sukhumvit Soi 53 (Nern Plub Wan)

    Intersections that need signals badly:

    1) Pattaya Tai and Soi Kophai/Soi Bongkot

    2) Therprassit Road and Theprassit Soi 8

Feel free to add to either list.

I've driven all around Thailand, and every city seems to have their act together in one shape or form regarding traffic. Why does Pattaya, a key tourist area, neglect this area so? With high-season right around the corner, we know that traffic will be at its peak - and with all the out-of towners milling into the city, this situation will come to a head if something isn't done.

Dont start me on the state of the roads in pattaya even if the traffic lights are working most drivers pay little or no attention to them. And where are the boys in brown to enforce the laws of the road(only enforceing one guess which one) And the state of the roads are a disgrace i have to travel from soi khaotalo in to pattaya and its a mine field of dug up holes a big shame on the city fathers. Beach road to still after many many years is still not finished with high-season just around the corner was it not supposed to be finished for last high-season what a joke. sorry to highjack the thread but it makes me so angry to see the place i live in this way :o

  6. For a deeper understanding of Zen you should read D.T. Suzuki. He wrote quite a bit and really broke it down.

some of D.T. Suzuki's books are

    An Introduction To Zen Buddhism

    Manual Of No Mind

The zen Doctrine Of No Mind

I would also recommend these books on zen and Taoism

Zen Flesh Zen Bones by Paul Reps

Tao The Watercourse Way By Alan Watts

By the way if you have Limewire or an other share wear program you can download some of Alan Watts radio programes veray interesting stuff

Chuang Tzu was dreaming that he was a butterfly, and then awoke, but was unsure whether he was Chuang Tzu who had been dreaming that he was a butterfly, or a butterfly who was now dreaming that he was Chuang Tzu?!

  7. Not a scam just strait robbery most likely to have someone hiding back at the house wating to do terrible things to you and you would have ended up being payed the 200 baht :o did your mum tell you never to go with strangers

  8. Here’s an update I found in a Swedish newspaper.

The trial against Mr. Kenneth Eriksson ended around mid October. According to the newspaper, a member from the Swedish Embassy said that it is likely that Mr. Eriksson will get between 5-10 years in jail and not the death sentence or life imprisonment as they initially feared. The embassy has been in contact with persons close to the judge and sources said that he would be sentenced to manslaughter instead of murder.

TIT so you never though what will happen in the end!

The final verdict is expected on Nov 30th.

    Tompa,

Still 10-5 years in a thai jail = 20 in a swedish one did you see the guy a shadow of what he looked like before. I dont think it was a planed killing because it was a veray public way of doing it asking a passing stranger to help him heave the corpse over the stone wall just around the corner not veray thought out. Maybe we will never know what happened in that room :o

  9. FLB Bar Pattaya chat & pattaya secrets just a load of old fish wives gossiping really i hope the mods close any threads on it as it is all veray boring. I will now be accused of being on one side more than another and be banned from Thai Visa for mentioning this subject :o

  10. Again why o why are tot so rubish after weeks of my connection working then not working and many calls to tot finally they told me that they were having so many problems with there server in bangkok that i will have to down grade from 1MG to 512K. After telling her that we had a contract and i had paid in advance for the goldcyber service but i was still told that i would have to change silvercyber for a more reliable service and not just me she told me many more pepole would have to down grade because of the demand on the server. So why is it they can guaranty uninterrupted high speed internet at the new airport but not at my home. So if you are having problems with goldcyber and keep geting network error you to may have to down grade to. I find tots attitude to its customers extremeley poor i am going to the tot office in pattaya tomorrow to find out what can be done but to be honest i have had enough of tot poor service so if any one can tell me of a reliable internet service provider please let me know

  11. Getting away with murder, A least its not a one way street. Murder is a terrible thing which no one deserves. Yet through out each year here in Pattaya many farangs are murdered, often with no one ever being charged or convicted.

It seems it is not just the Thais getting away with murder….

    Correct...and interesting take on things...

    But two wrong's don't make a right... :o

Though to be fair the man may of got off with this crime in the uk as a crime of passion, from what i remember (could be wrong) he did not turn up to kill the lady, but after all he had done for her and turned up to find her with a husband - boyfriend he saw red and flipped. It could be suggested that he paid his way out, well the same can and is done in the west, a good well paid legal team will sort a similar legal situation and outcome in the west...

Can you clam temporary insanity in thailand

  12. I subscribe to their "Platinum" package for Bt2,155/month. I took this because it was the only way I could get BBC Prime (now called BBC Entertainment). This channel is now a waste of money since they (BBC) revamped it.

The "Silver" package actually has BBC prime for something like 800+ baht

Are you sure i have gold if the silver has BBC prime i would change it was one of a few programes i watched the BBC Entertainment progame is rubish.

  13. If my wife came to england on a settlement visa and some time in the two years i became sick and could not work for a period of time. How would this effect her claim for residence in 2 years time i ask this because i have a recurring sickness and may have to claim state benefit :o

  14. If this druging of punters catchers on it could lead to a few deaths :o
