  1. ohhh jesus can't you even see that those offers are different, one is indy the other premier?

    is it so hard to call 1530 and ask them if it's normal that you are disconnected every two minutes?

    the call center is very professional, a bit of snmp and the operator will immediately see the problem and will ask a technician to call you back within minutes, the next day the technician will be knocking at your door for fixing the line.

    That's the best service i ever saw for an internet company, i work in the IT field in koh samui and often request visits for customers who have physical trouble on the line.

    you have to be joking.

    the call centre helpdesk is no help at all. they don't even know what is MS-DOS or routing. Technician to call you back? NEVER.

  2. im dumping 3BB this weekend. Been with them about a year past 8mths had no problems constant 10mb speeds even international.

    Past 3mths speeds went to a crawl at 10mb within thailand 0.5mb international. Technician said upgrade to Premier its better for international so i did. Samething bunch of crap. Customer Service said Premier line is not even for International.

    I give up on 3BB. Bunch of ppl in a ISP don't even know <deleted> they doing.

  3. Was using 3BB 10MB Pro. 3BB service stated that the "Pro" was a step abv Indy which is why i decided to get it.

    After using abt 8mths with no problems, constant 10mb speed international. All of a sudden past 2 months was a nightmare. Getting speeds of 1mb international.

    In 1 month their technicians came over 7 times to have a look. Same reply as always "it's ur line." So i got new lines installed and still the same speeds. Technicians came over again and checked the wires , the next thing they said is "3BB don't have the 3BB Pro anymore , so we upgrade you to INDY 12MB."

    I told them i got the Pro because i didn't want the crappy Indy service. So they told me to get the Premier line.

    So i went to get the Premier line. Service should start in the next few days. I wanna see what is their next excuse if the speed is not changed.

    Talking to the technicians and CS , is like talking to a brick wall. Every answer is "don't know".

  4. A lot of service providers, including TRUE and TOT are looking to provide the so-called "triple play" (voice, video and data) over the "last-mile" (copper or fiber) to customers.

    Loma, I understand and know, from a marketing perspective, that's where ISPs tend to go once their networks get enough horsepower... They want to lock up all the business, and revenue, that they can...

    However, thus far, True has been marketing this new service solely as an Internet access vehicle. I've seen nothing from them even mentioning VOIP or TV in connection with this... Nor have I seen them do any with bundling offers combining the new Internet service with the existing True UBC and/or True Move services they already offer...

    Lately, back in the U.S., I've seen some advertising offers talking about Verizon FIOS packages of Internet, TV and phone service for $99 U.S. per month, or, translate that as to 3,100 baht here, which is less than the current price for True's 30 Mbit offering. I'd sign up for triple play FIOS at 3,100 a month in a heartbeat....

  5. 3BB technicians came over for the 5th time this month only to make matters worse.

    before they started tempering with the wires

    SNR was 12.6/20

    Line Att - 12/11.7

    After their so-called "work"

    Data Rate: 11776 1017 kbps

    Line totally dropped out not once or twice but over 20 times in 30mins. Totally had it with their useless technicians. Asked them about 3BB routing and showed them the tracert on MS-DOS and their reply was..."don't know". Even asked them about the ping times and got the same reply.

  6. I have the 3BB Pro 10Mbit - same issue at night. Something is going on with these guys, it's at times unusable. The first month I had it it was great any time of the day. Now it's useless in the evenings and sometimes at night too.

    But this morning, it was fast again, I got 8Mbit real life speed to the USA (e.g. not measured on one of those speedtest sites where 3BB cheats blatantly). Line felt like it too, very fast.

    Interesting that Premier is also affected, I guess that means i don't need to upgrade to 5Mbit Premier service now. Call them and complain, I found it helps sometimes.

    PS: True not available here to not an option.

    PPS: 3BB on its best behavior just now, updating an old Mac, it's close to 1GB in software updates at a rate of 1.2MB/s... wow...

    This is all based on the advice (or should I say excuse?) from TOT's engineer claiming that my usage and a hot room were to blame as they were unable to find any physical faults with the line.

    samething 3BB told me , went to the extent of changing new lines and still get the same crap.

  8. I use premiere 4 mb. I had it for one year now. It worked great tell a few months back. Now I get very bad speed to the USA. I get less then 1 mb during peak times, 5 pm to 12 PM sometimes I get only 300 to 500 kps. They had my billing messed up, I was paying 2,500 for 5 MB but had only 4 mb!!! called to complain and was told they would check into it and I did not have to pay my billl. It has been nearly 2 months and I keep calling and just get told someone will call me back.... I use True a few years back and it was very very bad to. It seems no matter what one you use it will be good for a bit then get very bad and the bad can last months or even years!!! I try to call true and no one would even answer kept getting the message no one can speak english now then it would hang up!! If thailand had an ICT minister that would try to make things better and not just try to block and censer everything it could and would be much better. I am not sure what to suggest it sees they are bad.... I used http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and test to San Francisco, seems to be more accurate on that site. when I can not watch a 1 mb video i go to that site and find my speed is indeed below 1 mb.

    Ur not the only 1.

    I used to get 10mb constant during peak/offpeak times. Past month has been really crappy.

    0.5mb to the US , Japan , Singapore , Australia.

    Can't even play any online games.

  9. i've had it with 3BB

    in a span of 2 weeks their "contracted techs" have been here 3 times. They don't even know how to use MS-DOS.

    They don't even know what dropped packets and ping is even if my wife explained to them in thai.

    Paying 1600thb for their so-called 3BB 10MB Pro they had. Im switching over to True and pay 1800thb/mth for 12mb line with promised international speeds.

    Paid 2500thb for StarCraft 2 and until now i can't even play the dam_n game.

  10. so far im happy with my ssd's.

    intel x25-V g2's are the best when it comes to $/GB ratio.

    when using normal mechanical hhd's my windows exp was at 5.7 now with the value intel ssd it went up straight to 7.9.

    with AHCI on i get reads up to 195mb/s and writes up to 45mb/s.

    i got 2 of them but have not tried to raid them cause when it comes to AMD their controllers r bad and they don't support TRIM for raid as of yet

    I have an Intel x25 g2 160GB ssd in a laptop and the Windows rating for it is 7.7 - now the processor (a core i7) is the slowest part of the PC.

    atleast ur on a i7core .....lol

    im still running a AMD X4
