funny how some feel that farang women should feel threatened by thai women. There is very little they have going on that would make any farang women I know envious beit their catch of a farang bf/husband (lol) or looks.
OP, I think submaniacs reply sums it up well.
Boo
I understand you reject contrasting opinions but you are well off the mark. If a farang woman truly thought they could compete with Thai women, then why all the Thai woman put-downs? Why the superiority opinions? It makes you sound like Thai women are just crap stuck on your shoe. Is that what you want to sound like?
If you ladies really want the truth about Thailand and farang women that stay here, you should open yourself up to honest conversation and forget the Thai-farang competition. You would help yourself a lot.

It happens everywhere. rightly or wrongly, farangs are thought of as economically and therefore socially superior.
So the native women feel threatened by farang women. Just as some males may feel threatened by farang men.
Happens in japan, china, just about everywhere. Even in the US among the immigrant population.(altho its much improved in the last 30 years in the US)
Nothing you can do about it. Smile, be pleasant, note and log the people that may be a problem to you in the future, and move on.
Best wishes to you

Does no one see the elephant in the room? Yingluck applying for an extention for her brother? <deleted>?
If anyone dooubted before that Yingluck is a puppet then what the hell else is needed to convince you?

It's getting worse each day with these types of anti-democracy rantings from PTP. i'm starting to miss Chalerms weekly press conferences.
Yes, it's getting worse but not only in this country. It's happening in western countries as well.
I don't understand why some brainless Bimbo always likes to compare Thailand with the west. This is Thailand with its own ethics and culture, not some country in the west
I am the first complain about such comparisons, but in this case it's true. Freedoms are being quietly removed and it's rare the truth comes out.

So who decides if criticism is untrue? Is PTP going to calmly admit that true criticism of the faux-PM is acceptable?
Exactly what I was thinking. I would say that anything they don't like is considered as untrue.

Thais having the right to speech is just half the circle. An overhaul of the defamation law is drastically needed. Now defamation applies to nearly everything and Thais stretch the legal definition way beyond even the way Thais have it worded. The BiB are more like Judge Dredd. Judge, jury, and executioner. A Thai can go to a BiB and if that Thai can get another Thai to back up their story of defamation (which is easily done), that policeman can go and empty your wallet and ATM single handedly. Now tell me that doesn't squelch free speech. In my opinion the defamation law keeps Thais and us under control more than the lack of free speech.

More balls than most of you skirts. You'd rather leave witty comments online than roll down to the governments office and voice it there.
Poor wittle government scared of the internet. Wah wah
I agree they are witty. So far they are quite entertaining.

This country really does live in its own world, advice to Egypt and now membership of the Security Council. They are unlikely to be top dogs in the AEC but want a part in the really big world that for most Thais doesn't exist.
I believe that is the whole point for Thailand. Thailand wants to appear bigger than the AEC before the AEC has a chance to kick them out for non-compliance. The other nine countries in the AEC will soon have complaints about Thailand. What better way to shut them up than to appear bigger than them.

its getting worse and worse in Thailand, we read horrific stories every day now. Have to think twice before booking my holidays there again .
This is a family destination now. Especially Pattaya. Don't let all these killings deterring you from bringing your family here.
Of course you are safe. Nothing to see here.

What's this thing about Buddhists not supposed to kill any living creatures? The Five Precepts of Bhuddism actually are: no killing, stealing, lying, sexual misconduct and intoxication....Have the Thais been reading different scriptures?
You know how Thais are; they do it their way. Forget about everybody else.

She must have been quite small to fit in a suitcase. Sad none the less. Life in Thailand is so cheap. I have noticed Thais don't even seem bothered by death. Just another day in the park.

If this photo turns out to be the real deal than may I suggest to the writers of Not The Nation to switch off your computers, turn off the lights, and go home.
You are now officially redundant.
Instead of redundant I would irrelevant.

I've got this urge to go over to the girl in the second row and slowly remove the box, those legs, that uniform, what lies beneath?
A child?
Crap! You ruined my visual.

I will say it politely:
The current Thai government is in no position to remind any other nation to uphold human rights and non-violence. First they should clean their own Augeas stables.
In blunt words:
This statement is nothing but brazen and pathetic solid bovine fertilizer.
Com'on. You can do better blunt than that.

The Thai government never misses a chance to attempt the world stage, I believe because they are trying to become of some consequence. They should because when the AEC kicks in, Thailand will look like absolute fools and will need all the false credibility it can conjure. The problem is the world is not as ignorant as you Thailand and they can see you for what you are. Wait and see.
The ignorance of Thais is breathtaking.

Whoever came up with this idea is probably patting themselves on the back but they are fools if they think copying is the only way students cheat. Copying is just the most obvious way.
If they are caught cheating then what happens? Nothing.

Slander is only Slander if it isn't true....
Regardless, this behaviour is terrible.
Record this neighbour verbally abusing your GF - Then threaten to put it on social media and embarrass the neighbour.
Or, just have your GF give her a piece of her own mind. Sometimes the bullying folk just need a firm response to encourage them to back down.
As stated here, use your movie camera to record the event. If possible, get multiple events. Go to the police station to report the problem. When the police does nothing, call the call center to report the police inaction. They will do something.
It's very possible the woman will be intimidated by the filming of her actions. Some will get hostile and say they will take your money if you continue filming them. Don't stop. Continue with the plan above. If you can get 3 or more events then that is great. You can show the film to the police.
I had a similar problem with a nagging neighbor and the filming shut her up when she knew she couldn't intimidate me..

Although I don't use EMS regularly, I haven't had any problems with outgoing packages.
But incoming is another issue. I have a guy that regularly holds my packages hostage until I pay off his wife and then he releases the package tax and duty free. This is the branch in Chinatown. It doesn't matter if I'm out of Bangkok, he wants me to travel to Bangkok to pay him off.
Got to love Thailand! I hope the "pay off" is less than the tax and duty would be at least!
Not really, but I have no choice. He won't even process it unless I pay. I could easily have to wait in the lobby all day until I pay.

I know you guys are talking about the larger engines but even with my 1.5L with a 5 speed auto, I can notice a big difference with a K&N. The problem I have with the factory paper filter is just after a week or two I can notice a decline. Most noticeably in the down shifting, take off, and acceleration at higher speeds. Slow at all of those.
Anytime I change vehicles, the first thing I look for is the air filter change.
I've put the paper filter back in my swift as I want to compare performance and fuel consumption with the K&N. So far it seems the engine has a little bit less zing compared to the K&N - it seems to need more throttle input for the same acceleration. I have an app so might do some 0-100 runs and compare the filters. While its very early, the fuel consumption seems to be marginally better with the OEM filter...I'll keep monitoring it and hope to report back here:) I'm a maths teacher so like to diddle with the numbers..
Agreed about the fuel mileage. The addition power came at a small price.

Does anyone know an easy way to know if a school has a license to do business?
I checked the MoE site and since it's in Thailand it's little help. Is there a place that list these schools?

You have had the benefit of a culture that favored you and now you think countries should be the same. They aren't. Thai culture is controlled by THAI MEN. What did you expect? You should have done your homework before you came here.
