RFK Jr. compared Trump to Hitler and praised descriptions of his supporters as ‘Nazis’
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for secretary of Health and Human Services, has a long history of scathing critiques against Trump, labeling him a “threat to democracy,” a “bully,” and, as recently as July, a “terrible president.”
But Kennedy’s harshest attacks date back to Trump’s rise in 2016, when on his radio show “Ring of Fire,” Kennedy applauded descriptions of Trump’s base as “belligerent idiots” and suggestions that some were “outright Nazis” and “spineless fellow travelers.” Kennedy also likened Trump to historical demagogues like Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, accusing Trump of exploiting societal insecurities and xenophobia to amass power.
All credit to him for having a change of heart and admitting he was wrong. Unlike the lefty cradle to the grave types "I was born a lefty, my parents were lefties, I'll always be a lefty regardless".

23 hours ago, Walker88 said:Recess appointments
The Founders who wrote the US Constitution (Madison and Jefferson), with a goal toward a functioning government in a time when there were no airplanes or railroads, and calling Congress to session could take considerable time, allowed for a President to make recess appointments to heads of Departments and agencies. The rules---geared toward a world with the travel inconveniences and communication difficulties of 1700s---were never changed.
Many Presidents have used recess appointments to fill positions, but generally these were for less than critical jobs. To stop such appointments, all that is needed is for Congress to call a pro forma session, and then it becomes a partisan game of recess or pro forma. Both the House and Senate must agree on adjournment, and note the specific date of such. When one Party controls the House and the other the Senate, agreement is unlikely.
When one Party controls the White House, Senate and House, there is nothing to stop recess appointments except common sense and courage, neither of which currently exist in the Party that used to be known as Republican, but which is now clearly a cult of personality, controlled by cowardice and the fear of a mean Tweet or an elected official being 'primaried'.
Toward the end of the campaign, 47 spoke of a 'little surprise' he and Speaker Johnson had planned. I suggest the plan is this:
Shortly after the Inauguration, the Speaker will call a House recess. This could come as early as January 21, 2025. The Senate must conquer to make a total Congressional recess official, and given the spineless people who are the Republican Senators, it is likely the Senate will conquer. The sitting President can then appoint, without anyone's approval, people like Gaetz, Hegseth, Gabbard and RFK,Jr to official positions.
Recess appointments last until the current session of Congress ends, which would mean the end of the year in 2026, and in actuality until the new Congress is sworn in the first week of January 2027. 47 could get his people in their position for nearly two years. Only if Dems retake the House and Senate could these appointments then be forced to come before the Senate for official confirmation. It Republicans maintain control of both houses, the Speaker can do a rinse and repe4at, allowing the recess appointments to last until the early days of 2029.
The Founders established the system of checks and balances specifically so that no one person, not even the President, could have such power. Recess appointments were put into the Constitution in view of the fact even sending communications to various States took time (think of riding a horse from DC to Maine in 1776), and the subsequent travel back to DC by horse or horse-drawn carriage took time. The Founders' intent was not to grant a President such broad and overwhelming power, but rather efficiency.
In 2025, the abuse of an article and clause written 250 years ago creates a de facto dictator with near absolute power, something that slaps in the face the intent of Madison and Jefferson when they established the United States of America and its system of checks and balances via three branches of government.
The US was founded by incredible wise people, so wise they were willing to admit their own human faults and aim the new nation toward a land of total legal equality and with limits on the power of any one branch of government. The 'little surprise', if my suspicions are correct, destroys the system much smarter men than 47 and Speaker Johnson created.
We shall see, in my opinion, in the first week or two of the new Administration. We shall also confirm the totally spineless nature of Republican Senators if they go along with Speaker Johnson and also declare the Senate in recess.
If that is the country you want, then you do not deserve to be American and have no clue what the United States was intended to be. Madison and Jefferson would agree.
So the overwhelming majority of people who voted in President Trump "Do not deserve to be American" because they don't lean the same way politically as you? Ridiculous post.

Hardly surprising reading the guff they come out with. Same in the UK, the BBC, Chan 4, Sky tv and the Guardian "newspaper" are just mouthpieces for our far-left government. I stopped using mainstream media a long time ago.

You've got the right name simple1. To state that the overwhelming majority of the US electorate are "idiots" just because they don't vote the same way as you is naive in the extreme. It's about time the far left stopped name calling and started to come up with some decent policies.

Lefty name calling again, no wonder you lost the election by a landslide. It's becoming such a bore, let's have some sensible non-woke policies. Slagging off the majority is not going to win you sympathy or votes.

There's only one thing better than bumping into an American and that's bumping into a Brit. Jolly characters with ravishingly good looks. They have a rich and diverse range of conversational topics. One of those is immigration. Is immigration really an issue in the UK? If so why has every government promoted more of it for the past 130 years? Uh oh... maybe there's a deeper reason involving global economy and the plight of humanity.
I want to let everyone know this is a safe zone. You are all beautiful. Lets go though some of those naughty noodle issues that keep coming up every day.
Timmy: I fear that immigrants might take my job. I feel really sad.Hmm.. that's a good point Timmy. Well you see Timmy, humans are the most expensive thing in a company. Sometimes businesses want to save money and they do this by hiring cheaper labor. It's sometimes called outsourcing. Lets look at the numbers!
Aged 23 and over: £11.00 per hour
Aged 21 to 22: £10.18 per hour.
Aged 18 to 20: £7.49 per hour.Immigrant: £5.28 per hour
Timmy: I pay taxes. Why do immigrants get free houses?Good question Timmy. Well you see immigrants also pay taxes. So they also get houses. There are pink ones, green ones many different houses.
Timmy: Why do some people look different from me?Oh Timmy! You are full of questions today. Well a long time ago the UK stole toys from people and made them work in a process called indentured labor. Those people also fought in wars for the British! Oh my gosh! Those people lived a long way away from us. And their skin pigment is different. As part of this deal they were given British passports. Many of them couldn't make it to the UK but some did!
Timmy: Why do people claim benefits and not go to work in the big building?Wow! That's a toughie. Well you see if people don't read or go to big school and they only eat a basic grains and cheap food they are easier to TRICK! This is sometimes called the Capitalist System.
Timmy: The man on the TV said I shouldn't play with the other kids.Yes, it's like when your teacher say 'no one can leave until Jack reads this sentence!' It makes every one hate Jack and it turns people against each other. But really, the teacher was the one being mean! A nasty tactic. Don't speak to that man again Timmy.
When did you last see an illegal migrant pay tax? Committing serious crimes disproportionate to your numbers in someone else's country also turns people against you too. I could go on, but you already know this and just want to project your far left opinions.

Same in the UK, the whole of the mainstream media is far left. The only centre-right news you get is on the internet from citizen journalists. Just like in the US, it's going to help cause a massive defeat for Starmer's Labour in the next election. Working people are sick and tired of being vilified, arrested and put in jail by this government for political offences while violent criminals go free. Aided and abetted by the lefty media.

Our species needs a reboot.
Name-calling again from the Dems. Will you never learn, that to keep insulting the majority of the electorate is not going to win you elections? How about announcing some policies?

It seems to be the case here that in a car/bike collision the car is always at fault.

3 hours ago, Social Media said:Essex Police, the force currently investigating Telegraph columnist Allison Pearson, has faced significant criticism for its track record on protecting women. Recent figures reveal that the force has had the lowest rate of warnings about potentially abusive partners under Clare’s Law, a measure designed to protect individuals from domestic violence.
Clare’s Law, named after Clare Wood, who was killed by her ex-boyfriend in 2009, enables individuals to request information about a partner’s history of abusive behavior. The law operates through two mechanisms: the Right to Ask and the Right to Know. The Right to Ask allows individuals to inquire about their own partner or someone close to them, while the Right to Know requires police to assess domestic abuse intelligence and determine whether potential victims should be informed.
In Essex, the Right to Know is applied in every reported domestic abuse incident, with police evaluating whether an internal application for disclosure should be made. If approved, this process enables the proactive release of information to protect a potential victim. However, statistics from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) for the year ending March 2023 show that Essex Police had the lowest Right to Know disclosure rate in England and Wales, acting on just 6.84 percent of cases.
This figure stands in stark contrast to the national average. Across England and Wales, the rate of Right to Know disclosures has dropped significantly in recent years, from 55.3 percent in 2019 to 42.5 percent in 2023. Despite the decline, the number of internal applications for disclosure under this scheme has risen sharply, increasing by 147 percent from 7,252 in 2019 to 17,925 in 2023.
The Right to Ask mechanism has experienced similar trends. The rate of disclosures under this route fell from 40 percent in 2019 to 35.8 percent in 2023, even as applications quadrupled from 6,496 to 27,419 in the same period.
Det Supt Matt Cornish, Essex Police’s lead on domestic abuse, acknowledged the need for improvement. “We recognize that we need to do more to support victims,” he said. He outlined the rigorous considerations involved in disclosure decisions, including whether the information is necessary to protect the person, whether there is an urgent need for the disclosure, and whether it is proportionate to prevent further crime. Legal advice is sought in complex cases to ensure decisions are made appropriately.
The scrutiny of Essex Police's handling of domestic abuse cases comes amid broader criticism of the force. In July, a Channel 4 Dispatches investigation revealed that in Thurrock, Essex, 93 percent of car-related crimes resulted in no suspect being identified. This adds to the growing concerns about the force’s overall effectiveness and prioritization of resources.
As Essex Police works to address these issues, the statistics highlight the challenges it faces in balancing procedural rigor with the urgent need to protect victims of domestic abuse.

Something that might be so hard that they can not stay in Thailand no more.
Welcome to Thailand! Stop hiding and breaking the law. If you can´t afford it, Thailand is not for you. Then it´s better to chose a country where can get your full pension.
I bet you were the teachers pet at school. I'm all in favour of sticking to the rules, but only if they're non-discriminatory. I refuse to condemn anyone trying to dodge this particular one. By the way, before you go banging on, I informed the HMRC that I resided in Thailand in 2009, the year I qualified for state pension and it has been frozen since then.

“RIP DEI. This is what comes next.” In the wake of Trump’s election, the president of a DEI consulting firm said she’s decided to pull the plug, close up shop, shut it down.
Source: https://www.coffeeandcovid.com/p/rising-stars-wednesday-november-13
The CEO, Amber Cabral, began like this: “It may seem extreme to decide to close my company mere hours after an election result, but let me paint the picture for you.” The colors red and orange featured prominently in Amber’s verbal portrait.
“Since late Fall of 2022,” Amber explained, “my industry has been in a major decline.” In other words, things were already headed downhill even before Trump was re-elected. Corporate America was already shifting away from DEI, cutting teams, budgets, and most importantly, outside consultants. The optics were getting really bad. Amber noted that, “a lot of DEI practitioners either didn’t have support or flat-out did not know what they were doing.” (Thank you, Matt Walsh.)
Then a couple months ago, Amber’s corporate clients put all pending DEI training sessions on hold. When she asked them why, she got two answers. First, they wanted to wait till “after the election.” Second, they worried that conservative filmmaker Robby Starbuck start tweeting about their DEI activities.
And now that Trump is President, Amber expects those clients to “soon shift from postponed to canceled.”
She isn’t waiting for the body-positive lady to sing. Amber blames Americans who voted for Trump, who “don’t want to listen or be accountable or move through disconnection,” whatever that means. But she admitted that the DEI approach already wasn’t working. “The ‘let me drown you in the data so you feel guilty enough to change’ approach has been failing.”
Her sad conclusion: “It’s beyond time to put the current model to rest and with it, the clinical definitions, and the constant desire to describe and explain what our preferred diversity, equity, and inclusion acronym means and why it’s the right one. None of this is working.”
“I’m okay,” Amber rhetorically sobbed, grappling with her strong emotions, “with letting DEI rest in peace.”
RIP, DEI.
To be clear, the failure of Amber’s DEI-training business was not the good news. As a fellow entrepreneur, I sympathize with Amber, and would encourage her to move on to her next venture quickly. It will be even more successful, and probably a lot more productive, than the last one.
But if DEI consultancies are starting to close, if cowardly corporations are finally jettisoning the profoundly racist and counterproductive ideology in favor of getting back to basics, then we are even closer to winning than we thought.
= = =
She should move her business to the UK, DEI is thriving there.

When will the lefties learn that although name calling might make them feel better, it's facts like a sound economy, secure border, common sense as opposed to woke nonsense etc that wins elections. Listening to constant lefty bile on the media, hearing it from Hollywood and sports personalities doesn't endear them to the voting public. They should try sensibly analysing this Republican landslide and then maybe they'll realise this.

I have learned dictator on day one Trump can't unilaterily deport them because they are legal because they do have a right to a hearing. But he can still effectively deport them just by adding that extra step. So takes longer and costs more.
So do you think he will actually go ahead with deporting them?
Or will he end up being all bark all meow no bite no claw and let them stay after all?
No he won't, but if I were him, I'd kick their asses out of the country if they commit a serious crime. This should be made clear at the time of the application to enter the country.
