Hell, even my favorite seafood buffet got destroyed by the chinese. it went from 299 for unlimited seafood and beers, to 500 baht for unlimited seafood and no beer.

299 for unlimited seafood and unlimited beer?? Jeez, no wonder they changed it!! Incredible deal

  2. I have an upcoming flight, I have the e-ticket, done the baggage thing.

Been trying to check if I need to check in/how long before the flight.

Constant 'system error' when trying to check in. I assume I can just turn up at the airport but still wanted to check, on hold for 15 minutes a time on their customer service line, no answer ????

The site describes its male members as Sugar Daddies and the females as Sugar Babies. In these days of political correctness some may regard such terms as not very PC

People using a site that frames users in this context aren't concerned about 'faithfulness', no way!

It's hardly a deep dive into society at large, is it, it's some niche, high class escort website

Plus, if you take the bike path between Soi 10 and Lumpini Park, you get the fun of hoofing (lifting) your bike up and down some goodly sets of stairs over overpasses at 3 or 4 points along the way... Just when you get some rhythm, it's time to get off and climb up and climb down the stairs with your bike.

I'm pretty sure that walkway from Soi 10 to Lumpini has a 'bike rail' thingy down the centre of the stairs at those points, i.e. the thin rail to put your bike tire and 'walk your bike' up the stairs rather than 'hoofing' it up, if that's what you meant

  5. What a mystery!

From what I can tell from the OP, he's staying on a daily rate somewhere, everyone knows you need to pay for the room yet he didn't and got annoyed when they locked up the room.

As far as they're aware here's a guy that didn't pay for his room and has gone out.

Whenever I have stayed day to day (been a loooooong time) then the onus is on me to pay the room daily

To put their money or their actions where their mouth is. I also think the OP should have paid his bill, but he didn't, he got pissed and stomped out. Not a good situation, but not the end of the world. Get over it and get over yourselves as well.

What is even more nauseating is the Social Justice Squad preaching their holier than thou hypocritical dishonesty from their high horses as if they never did anything wrong in their life. The OP got his answer of disapproval after one page, then after two, and three...and now ten pages later people are still spewing the exact same rude and insulting message.

I will be the first to admit I'm not perfect and I've done things wrong. But if these Social Media Warriors are the beacon of morality they make themselves out to be, then they should get out from behind their little keyboards and save the day. Ride in like a night in shining armor. Restore our faith in humanity. Start a go-fund-me page or go down there and pay the bill to save the waitress and the establishment from financial ruin and to save face for everyone involved.

Careful not to hurt yourself reaching here!

Even if some 'Social Media Warriors' profess to be a beacon of morality (which they aren't and don't) they're still not going to pay this guy's bill just cause it satisfies some weird ideal you have.

    It doesn't make any sense.

People said he should have paid his bill, he put it here for discussion, everyone is over it, it seems ... except you, who seems annoyed the thread went on long.

In case you didn't notice, there's barely any activity on here so if there's a long thread people reply in it ... hence the 'newbie with a cliched problem'. There's no need to be rude to the guy, correct but you're the person in this thread I see over reacting to most tbh

  7. I'm not looking to join such a group but for all the 'why so many Chinese/Indians/Russian' threads we get I am sure those same nationality people are also wondering about some of our bad traits that they see on a daily basis whilst they are on their holidays

  8. At the end of Soi 10 that running track/walkway thing to Lumpini Park is a lot more visible than it used to be in recent years. No real need to 'search' for it these days, once you get through that gate at the end of the soi the whole road behind there is a lot more open IIRC and the walkway is a lot more obvious.

I always enjoy a stroll from there to Lumpini or in reverse

  9. I might be doing this from Hua Hin back to Bangkok, looking at train times it doesn't look amazing, not sure if my info is up to date but aside from a 3:58pm train there's a distinct lack of trains leaving/going through Hua Hin from 10am-ish to 1pm-ish and getting back to Bangkok at a reasonable afternoon time.

Stuck with some 6am type train to get into 10:30 by the looks of it!

  10. Never quite sure if Thai travel is included here but the Southern Forum is pretty much dead so thought I would ask here.

Anyone have experience of Khanom at all?

Will be going for a few days next month, despite being in Nakhon Si Thammarat there's very little info about getting from the airport to Khanom and it almost seems like Surat Thani may be a better arrival point (airport to 'town' and then bus to Nakorn Si ... then??)

Anyone have any first hand knowledge, I am happy to fly into either place.

Also, getting from Nakhon Si to Koh Pha Ngan, so very close but how's the transport to those piers, easily down?

    Thanks
