Left the rice growing to FIL and he has smartened up this year just growing a couple of rai of regrowth rice so very little expense and will get enough supply for the years eating. The rest of the land i've been letting the local butcher run about 20 cows and 10 buffalo's on to keep the weeds down in exchange for free beef.That number of animals seems to be about right to keep on top of it. I ended up getting a new set of tracks for the Morooka and purchased an auto land levelling kit for the box scraper so will do a summary on that come the dry season.

No subsidies equals no incentive,farmers around here are just planting enough for family consumption. The 1000 baht was a major help to offset (no burning) field preparations.

Good to see you back Alex. Hopefully Chooks carries on his tradition of setting up the tipping comp.
