  1. Saigon Cafe on the 5th or 6th floor at central is pretty good as well the Bbq pork sandwich rocks for 118b and the Vietnamese noodle soup is wonderful and filling for 88b. They have a bbq pork plate that includes a drink and soup for 88b as well.......

  2. I use 2 iu of hgh a day....takes about 3 months to work...and I eat about 200grams of protein in the form of skinless chicked breast or chicken fillets with 3 low carb protein shakes a day....no rice bread or potato and only stemed veggies.....done. do this 6 months and your weight proble will evaporate...I also use an abundant amount of various supplements and drink a gallon of water a day. no booze, that was the hardest to cutt.....and also use 100mg of test every 5 days.....and do 30 min of cardio a day

  3. Does anyone know where I might find Granulated garlic and onion and kosher salt??? I have been to most of the Villa Markets. The Emporium and the Paragon plus the Tops on soi 24....Big Thanks....I make my own rubs and Bbq sauces and really need these ingriedients!!!!!

  4. Almost every Thai will know where to buy charcoal. I have found that the best charcoal comes fro the eucalyptus tree and oddly enough I found out also that the makers of this charcoal export it to Texas to the big BBQ restaurants there as a gourmet charcoal. I just moved to Pattaya from Hua Hin so I dont know where to buy it here yet. I also buy the wood chips at villa market and throw them onto the coals after covering up my Weber BBQ ....I buckled and bought a weber at Villa....Real pricey about 7k but worth every baht........

  5. My buddy went to tom smith.....he rifled through his bag and stole money and his moblie phone. While hi insisted my buddy remain face down on his bed. To make matters worse he is always at the German beer garde on soi 7.....The man is real real strange. We watched him have an entire conversation with himself.

  6. The nurses did tell my wife...I will try and post the location later. They lost a bunch of nurses from San Paolo as they all went to Bkk to get further certification so they will be able to work at the new hospital.

9000b a night sounds expensive...My Mom is paying about 30,000 a day at Bumrungrad at the moment...her last bout there cost about 5 million. The 9000b would most likley be for the room only and not nursing meds or DR fee's.

I tried to have my Mom managed in the local hospitals but they cannot really do everything or have the right blood types and or meds. The local hospitals all wanted to refer after about 7 days....They have a real solid reputation for doing more harm then good.

The most important thing to have is good insurance period. I have friends that have been living here for years and actually place there faith in the local medical establishment....Fine for band-aid care or for food poisoning but a death sentance for most serious ailments.....The bigger hospitals are the only places that will be able to save mostlives.

The local Dr taking careof her worked 18hrs a day . lived at the hospital and never had a day off. He saw her 3 min in the morn and 3 min at night. Thats all the time the poor guy had. In Bumrungrad she has 7 doctors and each one speaks perfect english.

I looked into an ex-pat insurance pakage and for me at 47 it was 23.000b a year...compared to what I pay for my BLUE CROSS at 85.000b a year a real deal.

  7. When I first moved here in 1993 I had some of my used clothes shipped via UPS and they tried to extort 200$ from me...The Customs Dept is still the most corrupt of all the Govt agencies and the clearing agents are just part of the corupt machine......I would simply ship to the GPO and pick up your parrcel there it is a lot less hassle.

I had an overnight letter from fed ex that I had sent to there office on Rama 4...it took 7 days yet they could care less that I paid more than 50 $ .

The OP has a right to be pissed off.

  8. I love the breed and have known most of them to be fantastic dogs...most of the ones I know want to be lap dogs....and get along well with other dogs...HOWEVER......all the bulls I have known have had loving owners. It's all about that and early socialization with both other animals and people.........

A pit-bull allowed to run free most of the time will just become territorial to a larger area...mix that with there basic nature and it could be dangerous...

My buddy in the States has a giant pit bull male....He inherited a toy chihuahua that weighs a pound and a half and the two of them are inseperable.

If I were you I would avoid a lose pit as best you can ...

  9. My Mother spent 3 months in BR and upon discharge even a floor nurse pulled me aside and told me to fill her scripts at an outside pharmacy....

BR will run an extensive amount of tests. However most of the time they are warranted.

I needed to see an ENT at home and the bill for a 5 min visit was 500$ and there was no medicine involved.

Healthcare is rising in Thailand and quickly. People will say that they would prefer to betreated in a cheaper Govt hospital as they have heard that a friend or a Thai family member only paid such a cheap fee for this or that...WELL......It seems nowadays that the Govt hospitals are very very quick to transfer.

My Mother is back in the hospital for a pneumonia with no fever and a completly normal CBC... They demanded that we tranfer her to a larger hospital....We did and we are paying about 12,500b a day......They are treating her with exactly the same meds in the bigger hospital.

Most of all the real big hospitals in Bangkok are traded on the stock market so they need to make a huge profit.

  10. Years and years ago....I found real CS gas in a little shop that sold Police stuff...it wasnt cheap. It was from Germany and cost about 1500b. They were working on my street and it was closed of to traffic. But late at night there were lots of dogs and I sprayed some in the air and they vanished.

I found myself in P.Penh at the original Martin's Disco and I happened to have the CS Gas with me . The disco itself was real real small and they had put these fans outside aimed inwards. Suddenly about four Arab guys started dancing right in front of the fans. Not that I hate Arabs,When they began to dance there native style dance and I sprayed just a tiny tiny amount into the back of the fan and within seconds the whole place cleared.

I felt real bad about that. But I did pay the price as I kept the canister in a side pocket of my gym bag. I put a half pack of Mentos mints in the same pocket....Forgot about them , and then one day on my way to the gym I noticed the mints and popped a couple into my mouth......There must of been just a few molecules of the compound that had gotten on the mints.

It felt as if my entire head expoded molten lava.I got rid of it.

The stuff they sell on the street comes from China so yoiu won't know until you do somthing stupid with it. It could just be pepper spray.

I am a lot older now and look back at my times with my cannister of CS Gas and am glad I never hurt anyone with it or got caught with it.

  11. How does onr travel safley in this country?......Of late there is a mad scramble to repair or rather fix all the cheater roads..Cheater roads are the ones that have been built to a sub-standard level with the local goverment scamming the cost and pocketing a huge amount.

The Buses are in horrid condition and the drivers even worse.

Trains...was just a matter of time.

Kind of like knowing a guy who never brushes his teeth or uses deoderant.....BUT ownes a restaurant that everybody eats at.................

  12. First time I went to P.Penh was about 1995....I enjoyed it then and I enjoy it now. Over the years I have taken quite a few people with me and I noted that about 50% of the people really liked it and have been back.....I have pretty much been everywhere within Cambodia, Either in a car or on the back of a motorcycle.

I have been here in Thailand for 17 years and I look forward to returning to Cambodia. Some people find it difficult to be out of there comfort zone, others find it excitng.

Most people that 'Live' Here in Thailand have seen very little of it. Spending all there time in Bangkok, Pattaya or Phukett, Perhaps these are the people that prefer there comfort zone....To each his own.

I agree with what dumball has wrote. However I have seen some horrible traffic accidents both in P.Penh and out in the country

  13. I would be very interested to know if there are other Dogo owners here....and not puppy mill owners...I have a sweet 9 mo old female and would love to be in touch with other Dogo owners to swap info....great dogs but what a Handfull........My girl has full house privs and is a lap dog that sleeps in our bedroom.....

  14. I live in Pranburi...have for 4 years and the van services do run here...as a matter of fact my best friend is in my gust house as we speak...coming from VICTORY MOMUMENT....... just make sure that you are able to pronanouce pranburi correctly....JEEZ spilild...where is your head not to know this ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

  15. For what it is worth......Maybe I did respond a bit hard on the OP ...... Here I sit close to Hua Hin in the midst of my own personel medical crisis involving my own Mother with me as a physician....and being delt a blow that should not to have happen....The blow was that this entire area is NOT set up to handle any serious emergencey......So if you are coming here with the weight of a potential seroius emergecey in your front pocket.....then maybe you need a slap in your face...at the end of the day why would I even way in if I did not think that attention needed to be called to the OP's question.

Really think about coming here if you might have a medical problem.......

There are so many unknowns when it comes to a daibetic...for instance....What's there history? Do they drink? lot's of them do..What are there dietary habits? ...what sort of condition are they in now.....

I am an othopod....and I really prefer to just make smart ass comments to various posts and be done with it...but at times certain things will get to me...I also pm a lot of people.....Really I have the majority of most people at heart.

You can find a pharmiscist and ordr uour insulin and he will keep it stocked...yet if you have a fridge ypu an as well

  16. Why would you even contemplate a move there if you have not yet figured this out?......It never ceases to amaze me how so many people 'Move' here without dotting all the i's and crossing the t's...........You should not have to even ask this. Let me guess you came here for a holiday and now you just have to live here. Have you figured out the visa's yet....or are you just going to wing that one to? Sorry I'm a Physician and I spent almost 20 years here........you may want to make a checklist or have one of you parents help you with one.

If by some weird chance you are coming here to work in a hotel or somthing than......Don't worry he can get what he needs even without a script.
