  1. Trump (Mr. "Ukraine should never have started this war") has had the key to that all along, but he is too weak, and has abandoned Ukraine. Zelenskyy's treatment in the White House is the most embarrassing I've ever seen. Trump and his administration have been in the pockets of Putin a long time, and really don't care about the outcome in Ukraine. President Biden was everything Trump is not, and the presidental switch has been a disaster for Ukraine. But they will hold stand, Russia is severely weakened now as well.
  2. Hold your horses. In Sumy oblast the Ukrainian army is pushing back. This is per definition looking a lot like a stalemate.
  3. Russians have been trying to take over Pokrovsk for more than a year now, and even early last autumn, it was only a matter of days before Pokrovsk were overtaken, the media said. But they were wrong. The heroes of Ukraine have been holding the fort for all this time, against all odds, so yes, there has definitely been a stalemate outside of Pokrovsk.
  4. Yes, it's sad. This was definitely not what the royal family needed now, in a time where their roles and the need for a monarchy are questioned, with the shaman Durek Verrett entering the family as well. But they will survive this too, the Norwegian people in general love their Kingdom. I hope Marius gets what he deserves, a long time in prison. In Norway you will be prosecuted, whichever name you carry.
  5. No, not at all. I am referring to Rutte's embarrassing e-mail to Trump, and furthermore his unconditional praising of him when he arrived at the NATO meeting. That "daddy"-comment has a context.
  6. The first year you would pay around double that amount. With the following extensions normally between 12,5k to 15k. I see your point, and I think more and more retirees are using agents now, for various reasons.
  7. If you think this is only about the "daddy" thing, you haven't followed this case. It started with Rutte making a private message to Trump after his bombing of Iran, which again Trump put out on his Truth Social account. Where Rutte was kissing his butt in the most embarrassing way. And he continued praising him at the NATO meeting in Haag, a buttlicking we never before have seen inside NATO, or elsewhere in Europe leadership. It was straight out embarrassing to watch, and it IS a big thing in the news and social media in Europe. Mark Rutte is certainly not Jens Stoltenberg, with his integrity.
  8. How can anyone ignore his craziness, day in and day out. It's not one day without an embarrassing rant on SoMe, or without another step towards fascism and dictatorship. It affects the world when this lunatic is the head of the free world, and the most powerful country in the world. I will start charging rent for squatting in my head.
  9. Right. Must be because he has the biggest a-hole the world has ever seen 😁
  10. This. MAGA has gotten so used to these embarrassing rants and tirades, so they can't even see anything wrong with them. I'm mindblown each time I read what he has to say, and thinking this can't be real, can it? But of course it is. The president of the most powerful country in the world, the leader of the free world, is yet again acting like an angry 7 year old crybaby. No respect for anyone who's not praising him like a king, clearly being a racist, no empathy for anyone. Unbelievable. His MAGA supporters must be just like him.
  11. Mark Rutte has his head so far up Trump's butt, that not even a missile could reach it. Embarrassing.
  12. Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they come for you? 🎶 Good job, immigration 👍
  13. This. Living in Jomtien and Pattaya has significantly changed over the years, and on top of that, now I have to walk through this smell at public places, sidewalks and at the beach most days, whether I like it or not. And I can assure you this smell is not sitting well in my nose.
  14. And some leave because of it. It's safe to say that after these shops popped up, Thailand has been attracting a slightly different kind of people. Not for the better, in my opinion. Good riddance, if the authorities can limit these shops, and limit or stop people openly smoking weed in public places.
  15. Did mine. Don't know what 128 really makes me, but at least I was sober. Will try it after a few drinks next time.
  16. A couple of countries still do in relatively big quantities. Those who oppose (and try to block) any EU sanctions against Russia, and of course oppose and block help and aid to Ukraine. That is Hungary (Orban), and Slovakia (Fico), Putin's (and Trump's...) friends. The shame of European countries. They should have been thrown out of the European Union. So highly Trump has spoken about Orban (and Fico), makes me sick to my stomach.
  17. Couldn't have said it better. And I'm "neutral", being a Norwegian. The words he is using both on his platform Truth Social, and the official WH platform, is baffling to watch from here. Who talks like this? I'm embarrassed just by reading it. He has no empathy at all, acting like a child, calling others all kinds of bad names, crying like a baby, putting himself like the greatest person ever lived. If European politicians would ever talk or write like he does, they would be gone before they could say cheese. But you Americans must think it's cool and can't see anything wrong here. It's just mind boggling.
  18. If you think sanctions haven't worked, you haven't got a clue what you're taking about. Russian inflation, interest and so on, is going through the roof, and Russian economy is about to go to shiits. If is hasn't already. Their income of oil and gas isn't even covering their increased military expenses, and a massive part of Russian companies are having all sort of economical problems.
  19. This. I'm losing braincells by reading this crap.
  20. Are you for real?? That is just an insane statement. Are you not following this war at all?
  21. Why do you think Finland and Sweden joined NATO? Why do you think the Baltic countries joined NATO? Russia did that. Their threat is real. I know, I'm Norwegian, we have lived with their threats for decades.
  22. Time changes, but the Pattaya we have today, isn't that bad. It's been a shift to become a more retirement friendly and family friendly place. At least the latter is their goal. I love it here, but I don't frequently hang out at bars and such, and have already found my partner. Pattaya and the Jomtien area have so much more to offer than girls, soi 6 and walking street. And now it's far from crowded here either, low season or not.
  23. Good plan, but I wouldn't count on getting my money back.. Probably spent already.
