got the same form for my Dutch AOW, but that is fully electronic these days. form send by email, via a secured DigiD system. you print some forms , we have to have approved by the Thai Social Security office, than scan and send back electronically via DigiD system. after some days, I received confirmation from the office that my papers were received.

Yep, I do only get 53% of AOW as I have worked almost half my time outside of Nederland. I have a nice pension from my former employer, so the AOW is luckily not the only money I have to live on. I am married to a Thai, who is un-employed without income. Now I get Euro 830 bruto, and euro 754 netto each month.

@Groenen, please be reminded, that if you receive AOW, yearly you have to fill a Life certificate and get it approved by the Thai Social Security (TSS) office. That paper has info on your (thai) partner/ wife. Now I also got last week a new paper, requesting me to specify my yearly income and also the income from my partner/wife. Also that paper needs approval and signature from TSS. So more and more information on you and your partner/wife is collected.

strange, I am already used to this walk in for renewal for the last 20 yrs at my Rong Kuang DLT station. as their english is not that good(nor is my thai) and on purpose I go alone, thus any trial to get me for a test goes stray and it results with some gestures of give him a slip on the test, just colorblind , reaction and depth of sight test and I am done.

my driving instructor learned me in these situations not to turn the front wheels towards the side road, but keep the front wheels straight, pointing towards the main-road. In case you get a back bump, at least your car is not turned into the path of the opposite traffic but will continue the same road pushed by the back colliding car. My driving instructor called it defensive driving.

Yes it is working good lately. Last week had same experience, received reminder, filled the form and after about 20min. got the new 90 day extension approval. OS is Ubuntu, but I guess the web-browser is more of impact than the OS. I am Using Firefox Nightly without any problems.

I walk into my local Rong Kuang DLT office with all papers required and depending on the number of clients come out in 1 to 3 hrs with a refresh thai licence. (that might be the advantage of a small office) In that time have to perform some tests, color , eye sight depth and reaction time on ingeneous machines.

I read you sold your car already and have nothing to drive. even a fast delivery will thus not help. my advice: buy a 2nd hand that last till about mid 2023 and wait till the 2022 models are sold out before ordering a 2023 model. or chose another make with more regular sales.

Latest extension for me in Imm. off. Phrae, June2022, was very simple. needed only the letter from my embassy for income, copy of all used pages in passport, form filled, copy of valid 90 days report. that's all, about 20-30 minutes inandout.
