I read you sold your car already and have nothing to drive. even a fast delivery will thus not help. my advice: buy a 2nd hand that last till about mid 2023 and wait till the 2022 models are sold out before ordering a 2023 model. or chose another make with more regular sales.

This is very stupid of the Dutchman. He breaks the law and than publish a video on his wrong doing in the public domain. So he basically offers himself into custody as officials cannot ignore the self proclaimed wrongful act. He should have left Thailand first and then only, if must, publish the video. to many tiktokkers punish themself with guilty pictures/videos

quote"It also begs the question as to whether some people who don't bother to renew tax and/or who have moved from the address where they have registered their vehicles or themselves can actually be traced." unquote your license plate number is registered at an address to send the fine to. And in my province, I have at least 1 or 2 times a month a police stop to check the ticket window on date. No change to escape it for over a month.

Tourism ministry dual pricing proposal for hotel rates
ardsong replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
bye, bye baron, hope You live up to your promise and will not disturb me (and others) with your posts any more; like many of the other said-"would-leavers" have not left, broken their promise and are still bothering me. -
did my 90-day report some 2 weeks back online. it was very quick, had the approval back within 3 hrs of the request. it indeed did not offer me 90 day but only till the end of my extension date. this looks new and would force you actually to 5 times/year reporting for the 90-day, as normally you report the 90 day a week in advance so 4 times reporting brings you 4*83 = 332 days, and 5th time 23 days till end of extension date.

Indeed Bing is a bad search system, you have to change to a privacy minded search engine like DuckDuckGo, Quant, there are some more. and there is no way to have another one I am working with Firefox as default browser and DuckDuckGo as default search engine. The new versions of Firefox, allow you to change the Bing search with one click only to the desired one.

quote government have "agents" and/or can break encryption of public VPN services only; If you properly setup your own VPN server then no one would be able to break it. unquote indeed, sofar there is not one report of breaking a good encryption algorithme!. Where governments get to encrypted messages is through backdoors, (secretly) handed over encryption keys, or using other intrusive methods to capture a message before it is encrypted on your computer/phone or after is has been delivered and decrypted and the receiver of encrypted message is not handling it secure. My advice is: -to stay away from American software and hardware products, as all have a backdoor from NSA.CIA etc, notwithstanding their promisses of not, they are all subpoena-ed to tell it! -to stay away from proprietary software but use only OpenSourceSoftware, where the possibility of build-in backdoors is minimizes as the code is open to check for these leaks. e.g. not use Windows , but any Linus distro, use Tor-Browser and Tails as your operating system. -to use good reliable VPN services, again not any american VPN services, but I would suggest Suisse or German are thought to be the most thrustworthy -use E2EE (end to end encryption) for sensitive messages, from reliable providers, e.g. Session, Protonmail, -use your common sense to stay safe as much as possible. and than (maybe) you can stay private.

Have a pool for about 12 yrs now and use it daily, around the year (a little fresh in the winter months). Keeping me fit and on warm days gives a very refreshing feeling on the afternoon. The pool, 10 M long and 5 M wide, with a sun roof, good enough for swim exercise. Maintenance is not that bad: daily 10 min. for filter cleaning, weekly 1 hr for vacuum and water refill/water conditioning checks, each fortnight a shock-dosing with chloride, every 4 days add a Ch-tablet in the skimmer. Would not want to miss my pool.

Expatvac. Who can we write to and thank them
ardsong replied to VocalNeal's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
me thinks it is far too early to thank expatvac as there are too many expats that registered in early august (including myself) that have not heard of any appointment , let alone got a needle in the arm.
