  1. Any woman who feigns pregnancy to trap a man should be cut free immediately. Your friend needs to sever all ties with her.

However, that is complicated if indeed she is pregnant. He probably needs to ascertain this for sure - and going to a hospital with her would be the best way.

And if I am reading into this situation right, SHAME ON HIM for having another night of "careless passion" after she already tricked him with the pregnancy issue. If it does turn out she is pregnant then he cannot say he had not been warned...

I am trying to think of something nice to say that will not offend him and the mods

    MUPPET

  2. The police are still not doing enough,as they should ban all farangs driving a high performance bike unless they can prove they are experienced.

Nonsense. I think it's more important to stop the cement trucks and tourist buses doing 120 km/h on Sukhumvit road, straight through red lights, horns blaring.

Didnt know tourists drive cement trucks and tourist buses, get em of the road ril ril.No wonder they are killing themselves every day.Sorry to be a pee take but this thread was about Beach Rd not suk rd,unless i am missing something.

  3. That Howard guy did a remarkably good job considering some of the idiots he had to cope with. Nothing like the type of person the forum warriors would have you believe.

Howard is the only professional news guy on tv,the others are so useless its untrue, and that martial arts guy is utter crap and should be taken off the air immediately

  4. I am in the UK.

The programme is called "Big trouble in Thailand"

It is on Bravo channel, which is a satalite/cabel channel.

It really does not show Thailand in a good light if the first episode is anything to go on. But as they say, the truth hurts.

We have had big trouble in Ibiza, big trouble in Eastern european countries but much prefer Thailand as the population seem to be able to hold their alcohol better, including the women.

For all those who have forgotten what Spain was like 20+ years ago,Pattaya reminds me of many places, and the sex was fee too lol

  5. So how has this shown Thailand and in its true light????

Phuket and Pattaya are tourist areas so there will be bound to be a type of spain mentality sometimes with the farangs.Lets see what the other episodes are like and maybe Howard will be taking some people to the real tourist areas to get a non bias view of the nice things in Pattaya.

  6. That is total and complete garbage, as any driver that spends any time at all on the roads in Thailand will tell you.

    I do

I have never been fined for something I haven't done. I have been stopped for license checks as well and they always let you go once you show them what they want.

"I have never been fined for something I haven't done." Really ?.you must be the only driver in thailand then, :)

I havent been stopped and fined for something i didnt do,and thats over 6 years.I could have been banned about 10 times if i had been in the UK

  7. Just makes me wonder how farang complain about how the law is not enforce here...while at the same time complaining when the law is actually enforced. Make up your mind guys, 400 Baht is the bare minimum according to the law. Just my food for thought.

Totaly agree, these moaning gits are ok complaining until they get caught. The police are still not doing enough,as they should ban all farangs driving a high performance bike unless they can prove they are experienced.

    Btw

I carry a 5 year driving license with me which should be enough for identification purposes, and thats from 2 cops.

  8. The last time i found out a guy was ex SAS,i asked him if he knew my cousin who is well known in the SAS,thinking he would make excuses, and he bloody knew him well lol.I have now got a great body guard when required,a frigging monster.

    BTW

He wasnt boasting about his credentials,a mate of his told me.

  9. The only answer to this problem is vote with your feet after speaking to the manager and telling him that you will tell all friends and all the thai forums.Nod oubt he will grunt and say mai pen rai, then eff off under his breath.

  10. Every Thai political thread brings out hoards of posts chucking insults at Thaksin.

What these posters seemingly fail to see is that the problem is endemic and all Thai political leaders are equally corrupt and callous and almost certainly have blood on their hands or they would not have been able to rise to power.

The current bunch contains many of the supporters and perpetrators of the 1992 Black May massacre with "nice boy puppet" Abhisit trotted out front and centre to make it look good.

The problem is not Thaksin. The problems are much more linked to an entrenched ruling class, both red and yellow, who are above the law and will use all means including machine guns to cling on to their power and income.

Excellent post and 100% correct mate.

  11. Stoke City = <deleted> football ... however, they will stay up.

It's become a retirement home for ex-Sunderland players. Please come back in January and sign Daryl Murphy and Nyron Nosworthy. They're really class!!

i've been having this argument with a liverpool fan at work who insists stoke don't deserve to stay up because of the style of football we play.

The point of the game is to score points - which makes quite a few teams shiter than us at the moment!

I think if the big clubs have their way, it would be more like figure-skating and we'd all get scores out of 10 for how poncy we can play football. Anyway, that might suit the suits supporting the big four...

In short fuc_k'em! It's all jealousy regardless of who it comes from - basically no one likes to play us especially at the Brit as they know they are going to be in for a hard game unlike many others who have been promoted all to often just roll over. I REALLY cannot wait for the Chelsea game. They are gonna be in for a shock last season at the Brit we didn't have Rory - sure we had him at Stamford Bridge and even then Terry and Cech were all over the place with the throws. Then throw Tuncay into the mix who'll hopefully play although giving his WC Qualifier exploits I think it might be from the sub bench.

We really owe Chelski one after THAT loss last season - I ain't been so depressed after a game of footie for a long time!! :)

Also I have to it is really good to Kitson actually producing the kind of form we were expecting from him last season! I was a big critic last season and as I said on this thread I was hoping Reading got promoted and he left permanently - however now his off field problems (whatever they of been) seem to be resolved and he is putting in a Stoke City style of shift on the field he is turning in the player I hoped he would be, his performance against the Mackems was fantastic not just for the goal but for the work rate and intelligent short passes and off the ball movement. This season he seems to be genuinely enjoying himself at the Britannia and playing for Stoke which makes a huge difference to last season where he just seemed to be sulking and generally arguing with team mates.

He even apparently refused to sign some player cards at training the other days as the pictures had him in a Reading kit - which is a stark difference to last season to say the least!!

I also have to mention Arismendi a 21 year old Uraguian International who is ball playing defensive midfield enforcer that we've signed from Nacional - a signing that came from completely left field. He certainly seems to have the pedigree and attributes (and yellow cards tally!) to playing in the english league will be interesting to see how he develops and how much time he get on the field.

Roll on Sat'dee! This weekend dragged by without proper footie! :D

Why is it that Blunderland fans are very childish. My Blunder mate wouldnt speak to me for 3 days after we comfortably beat them, and he was mardaresing about us buying their players too.He is always harping on about pushing on and challenging the Spurs,Villas of the league, and with the money they have spent in the last 2 seasons they bloody well should be but a crap manager in Keane knackered them for a couple of seasons.Grow up Blunderland and except we have the better squad of players,y i man

  12. Supported my team from the age of 9,when my dad let me go with him,and all the family support the same team. After my first game i was hooked, and totaly memorised by the loudness, intimidation, and madness of the whole occasion. From 14 i went to all away matches too, sneaking on the bus and hiding under the back seat and jumping over the turnstiles, truly madness but had no money.

  13. In the autumn of '57, Dad came home from work and said "Peter, get your shoes and coat on, you're coming out with me." "Where to, Dad?" He never told me but I went to a posh house about a mile away. Well. compared to our house, it was posh! Mum had 6 kids in 8 years so you can imaginw what the house was like. We went in and I was given a glass of lemonade and a packet of crisps - we normally got things like that on high days and holidays!

A few minutes later, the front door opened and a group of men walked in, one of them said "Hello, Mum." It was Billy Foulkes and a few of his team mates. I had a kick-about in the back garden with Billy, Duncan Edwards, Tommy Taylor and a few more! I did get their autographs, what happened to them? About a week after I got married, I went to pick a few things up and Mum said "You don't live here anymore so I threw them out!" All of my childhood 'treasures' had gone!

I have not been to a match for years - why? It's down to cost, prices kept going up & up and I decided that enough was enough!

Not a Man U fan what so ever but wowwwwwwwwwwww, meeting them greats would have been brilliant and a shame your mum threw the stuff out, would have ben worth a fortune now.

  14. as an alien from another planet and not familiar with some of the terrestric behaviour i dare to ask the question "how does one support a football club?"

donations? prayers? beating up the wife, kicking the dog, beheading the neighbour who supports another club or demolishing cars and shop windows if/when the club loses a match? :)

It was a combination of all them when i were a YOUNG UN hehehehehehehe

  15. The UK is not a free for all. If you are not prepared to integrate, speak English, marry an english person and make english friends dont go there.

The once a year/two years i go back to the Uk seems to show me that it is exactly a free for all. The Bend over backwards PC government lets them do anything they want, while

the poor old brit is getting left out in the cold.

note to mods, sorry I am not trying to hijack the thread, but I had to reply to this.

Again,a very good post and thats why i am living here, but i keep in reality of the Uk pc brigade by coming on here.

  16. As others have said in this thread "when in Rome..."

Put your foot down hard and do not tolerate this attitude for one second, tell your wife she should respect the British values and ways of doing things. If she cannot accept that dont send her daughter there. Would she be willing to fork out for the wedding as is traditionally (but optional I must add) done in the uk?? I think she would retract her arrogant sid sod requests rather hastily at the thought of that.......a way of highlighting your point would be ask if an indian or uk person came to Thailand to study and got in a relationship with your daughter would she accept the demand to pay the grooms family or the wedding?? she is thinking of no-one but herself and that her culture and expectations are superior....

This attitude disgusts me - I am sick of having to show deep respect and put other cultural sensitivites before my own in other parts of the world while people think they can move to the UK and pick and choose the aspects of the UK that suit them while carrying on behaving like they are still in their own country. The UK is not a free for all. If you are not prepared to integrate, speak English, marry an english person and make english friends dont go there.

Ono of the best posts i've read on the forum in a long time

AGREE,Brilliant post and a very good viewpoint too.but wait for the pc brigade mate.

  17. I know this his somewhat controversial subject has been discussed elsewhere within this forum but is anybody aware, or had personal experience of Sin Sod being requested offshore, in particular United Kingdom.

The reason why I ask is that my wife shocked me with a very recent un-supported statement that if our eldest daughter who will be going to study in UK 2010 becomes involved in a relationship with a foreigner that leads to wedlock then the groom SHOULD be made aware of this part of Thai culture that is still practised to this very day ....

What would be the immplications civil, and criminal in UK for such a request if things went wrong later.

For the record, I do have personal experience of this when my wife and I married and I paid a UNDISCLOSED amount of Sin Sod in the form of gold purchased whilst working in the Middle East, so I am aware.

Maybe you should discuss with your wife the British culture. i.e. the parents of the bride pays for the wedding. As far as Sin Sod is concerned in England, I would think that would be looked on as purchasing an item from a shop. In this case, the item would be your daughter, so basically, you would be selling your kid and I think you will find that that is illegal in the UK under both Civil and Criminal Law.

Maybe we should ALL be aware of what sin sod is before we contribute to this post.I thought it was to show the parent(s) that you have the wealth to take care of the daughter, not to buy her, that is ridiculous to my understanding as many sin sods are returned. If i am wrong please tell me other wise, instead of insinuating that the husband will be a criminal for purchasing a thai lady, which is typical of a western female view.

  18. The question I have is - What are the government doing about it?

500,000 infected and only 46,700 get help from the government. Obviously the government should do more.

The BIGGER question is,what are you and me and others doing about it.I am dismayed when i read of posters coming on this, and other boards boasting about their conquests of bare backing in Thailand, and even more frightening, their conquests with katoys.

How anybody can not wear a condom with the ladyies of the night is totaly beyond me,as many have thai bf and some have bar boy, boy friends too,who go with guys. The only way to reduce aids/hiv is to wrap it and not rely on the government to take care of you when its too late.

  19. I believe there is always a reason for this type of horrendous illness, just like a famine that wipes out millions of people world wide.I dont believe in God but many strange things go on in the world and maybe the culling of people by disease, famine etc is the work of a higher person.

Life goes round in a full circle and when famine is isolated and HIV/AIDS,something else will happen that reduces the world population, this includes many more wars.

  20. Deserves all he gets, he won't be living the high life now. and so confident he was.

I wonder if his Visa's and Work permits he advertised were all Legal.

Looking at his photograph on Facebook, he looks very smart and not the type, but Photographs can lie sometimes.

Most of them ARE smart pattayagirl,as its a falicy to think they are all bald, tatooed hoolie types.I am amazed sometimes when i here who is involved, pity the police dont know or turn a bind eye.The longer i live here the more wary i am of farangs not thais.
