On TV this question has been posed a few years ago, with limited results.
In the hope that new information can be supplied, the same question is being asked, again.
I have googled and perused hotel booking sites such as, Agoda with mixed results. However, those people with advanced web searching techniques are welcome to try, and please post their findings.
I would appreciate poster's experiences regarding guesthouses and hotels between the three hundred to five hundred baht range.
I know that they exist but finding them with limited Thai reading skills is a challenge.

Plan to travel to Saraburi and spend some time doing some horse riding there at Adisorn Camp.
If any poster has any anecdotes or suggestions regarding the riding at the cavalry camp, please, you're most welcome to share.

Gold is twice the weight of copper.
Just saying, like.

Now with ASEAN upon Asia the days of the NES are pretty much numbered. You will see more and more Filipinos coming to Thailand to teach at a much lower salary and schools will be more than happy to accept them over the foreigners who stay for a few weeks and then leave or come to work hung over. As lostinisaan has stated they are "friendlier",don't complain and actually do a very good job.
Lets not forget they at least make an effort to learn the language.
The AEC paved the way for the free flow of skilled labour in only eight professions comprising doctors, dentists, nurses, engineers, architects, accountants, surveyors and the tourism industry.

It's no wonder schools pay teachers late after reading a post like this.
Cheers to EM!

I don't think that many posters on this thread would know the difference between between a bag of french fries, a guava or a stick of gum.

In reality, the school should hand over the phone to the police so as to ascertain ownership details.

"I told the mom she should file a complaint with the police, but that fall on deaf ears as you will probably understand."
I'm not surprised with such a bizarre and hostile reaction to your son's school, like that.
You mean it is over the top for me to claim back my property?
Multiple personalities?

Where's the - Ask the lawyer - gone?

Yeah, but they still charge 20 baht extra flagged off of the street, taken off of the rank or phone booked.

Been at KK for the past 2 weeks. Staying in a hotel 10 minutes south of Central Department Store.
Taken a taxi back and forth fron the hotel to Central perhaps a dozen times.
Cost is 50 baht a time, one way, by the meter but every time the driver demands a 20 baht surcharge outside the meter reading bringing the total fair up to 70 baht.
Sometimes the taxi has been phone booked but they still only charge 20 baht extra when I understand that there's a 20 baht booking charge incurred.
Not complaing, 20 baht is peanuts but I'm curious as to the reason why it's being charged even if a taxi is flagged down off of the street.
Is this standard practice?
I have tried to ask a couple of the drivers without receiving satisfactory teplys.
KK locals, facts please.

He's certainly a hero and very lucky that a person was out there with a movie camera to catch this amazing feat.

MBK is a gravy train,
Briton accused of stealing Thai tourist's bag from temple
in Thailand News

Typical, caught red handed but still lies like a champion. Too, often this happens with the 'pompous ones'.
Brings to mind the thieving Brits who shoplifted at the Suvarnabhumi Airport's King
Power Duty Free.
At the end of the day this perp will still blame the Thais for fitting him up, swearing black and blue in the face of overwhelming evidence that he didn't do it.
Imagine that - stealing from a Thai at a temple.
What a loser.
