  1. I did one three days ago in Hua Hin. I paid 500 baht and got it in 15 minutes. You go to the back row of rooms behind the main building. They are located in room #4. You will need your passport and two recent photos. The room next door #3 can take your photo (8 for 200 baht) and make copies of your passport main page, visa and latest arrival stamp. You then fill out an application form and wait for them to finish. It is now low season so not many customers when I went. Totally painless.
  2. The last time I tried that about two months age they had raised their price to 100 baht. I declined and ordered a Bolt car.
  3. Nana Clinic for sure. Good dentists and fair prices.
  4. I purchased two Hondas a few years ago. There was no negotiation on price. It was pay sticker or leave it. You can get them to throw in extras such as 1 year free first class insurance, window tinting, etc.
  5. I picked up my LTRWP Visa in Bangkok yesterday. My timeline: November 12 - Applied for Visa November 30 - Notified of approval December 7 - Made appointment for December 14 December 14 - Travelled from Hua Hin to Bangkok and obtained Visa. I was surprised at how fast this went, but to clarify some things, my application was pretty straightforward. I am American. My income was a mix of two pensions, Social Security, and farmland that is cash rented. I also used a cash position in a high yield savings account at a bank in lieu of a health insurance policy. So, I think it was easy for the analyst at BOI to verify everything, thus the reason for the speedy approval. I did ask about the annual reporting that has to be done and I wouldn't be optimistic that anything will change, thus a annual trip to Bangkok will be necessary if you don't leave the country during the year.
  6. In a review on Google maps of the One stop center and the Investment center they stated that men must wear long pants. If they arrive wearing shorts they will not be allowed inside. Can someone who has received their visa please comment on this? Thanks.
