  1. The "Official" (European) Rules regarding the dregs left in the vial:-

From the European Medicines Agency ...      https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/news/extra-dose-vials-comirnaty-covid-19-vaccine

Extra dose from vials of Comirnaty (Pfizer) COVID-19 vaccine

    News 08/01/2021

EMA’s human medicines committee (CHMP) has recommended updating the PDF icon product information for Comirnaty to clarify that each vial contains 6 doses of the vaccine.

In order to extract six doses from a single vial, low dead-volume syringes and/or needles should be used. The low dead-volume syringe and needle combination should have a dead volume of no more than 35 microliters. If standard syringes and needles are used, there may not be enough of the vaccine to extract a sixth dose from a vial.

If the amount of vaccine remaining in the vial after the fifth dose cannot provide a full dose (0.3 ml), the healthcare professional must discard the vial and its contents. There should be no pooling from multiple vials to make up a full dose, and any unused vaccine should be discarded 6 hours after dilution.

--  This story gives some information about Nurses managing to get 12 doses out of a 10-dose vial of Astra, using low-dead-space syringes (whereas in the Original-Story above, the Nurse managed to get 7 doses out of vial which the Manufacturer/Health-Professionals believe is sufficient for 5 doses when using "normal" syringes, and for 6 doses when using low-dead-space syringes).

From the above, it would seem (to me at least) that [1] bringing the products into the country, and [2] using them for one's own personal use is not illegal.

Q: And who gets to decide what is "obscene" ?  [  ---  Sex-Toys have clearly been identified by the Authorities as being "obscene".]   --    And that old chestnut, when does "Art" become "Pornography" ?   For example is the statue, or an image of the statue, of the Venus de Milo "obscene" ?

i'm sure the economy will recover pretty quickly, the uk economy in Q2 grew by 4.8%, but all predictions are baseless until the vaccine programme is stepped up with a reliable supply of vaccine, only then will forecasts have some relevance.

Since January 2020, the UK GDP has shrunk by an accumulated 24%, but has subsequently grown by an accumulated 23%.

--  Yes, the 4.8% *is* certainly Good-News, but (as yet, unfortunately) the UK *still* isn't back to where it was pre-Covid ( - and that's with a "full-on", [reasonably] easily-accessible vaccine-programme).

1 Trillion Baht is only billion 3,300,000,000 dollars.....

Your telling me business in Thailand have only lost 1 Trillion baht in the last 18 months?

I bet the real numbers are more like somewhere between 10-20 Trillion baht, maybe more....

    I Trillion Baht  =  1,000 Billion Baht  =  (1,000 / 30)  Billion Dollars  =  33 Billion Dollars

And the "Thai Chamber of Commerce says that lockdown measures in Thailand this year will have cost businesses 1 trillion baht by the end of this month", ie in the past 8 months.

I really do wonder what the incentives/inducements are (for the Accused) for taking part in The Re-enactment.

--  Just *what* is in it for the Accused ?

--- And another Q    ...   at what point during the interview, etc is the Accused given an opportunity to talk to/consult with a Defence-Lawyer (provided by the State) ?

“If everyone just waits at home, it can sometimes be too late. You should go to a pre-admission centre or at least contact field hospitals. There are many of them now,” Gen Prayut said during the interview.

“District offices are fine too. Sometimes, making calls only doesn’t work because the lines are busy – inaccessible. So, a relative or someone should notify so that a team can be dispatched to provide care.”

He added: “Everyone has to help each other. At least, notify fast. If nobody comes, notify military units, notify police stations – something like this – and they’ll be there.”

If anyone in my Family starts to develop serious "Covid-Like"-Symptoms, I'm going to drive them immediately to my nearest Army-Base, and ask for medical-help there.

    See what's happening here?

Instead of the focus being real very serious issues in Thailand such as the vaccine situation, people are diverting to something very tangential and trivial like Food Panda.

--  "Citizens and journalists may face criminal prosecution under Thailand’s censorship laws for criticising the Government’s AstraZeneca vaccine rollout."

If you can't talk about AZ, then maybe all you have left is FoodPanda.

Didn't I predict it? By next week it will be adjusted to September, then October, and so forth.

Not that I am in any hurry to have any of these insufficiently tested vaccines into my veins. I am not an "anti vaxxer", but this all went too fast.

Mr W   -   How much time do you think is necessary, in order to say that the vaccine has been sufficiently tested ?

But most people in the UK don't swallow the MSM nonsense anymore. The money they freely give illegals isn't technically called 'benefits' but you can't ignore it in the big scheme of things. The point I am making is that UK expat pensioners should not be denied cost of living rises if money is freely available to chancers who have not contributed. The UK is waking up to the fact that most are chancers having crossed through safe countries on their way to the land of milk and honey. So you don't think the pensioners should be considered above other cases on the UK money tree...

    1. I'm unclear on the meaning of your sentence "So you don't think the pensioners should be considered above other cases on the UK money tree."

     - I neither said nor suggested that. It seems to me that you might be trying to put words in my mouth.

    2. The news-story in the Mail (from 2016) refers principally to *legal* immigration into the UK [with a brief comment about Asylum-Seekers].

I believe that most (adult) Legal-Immigrants to the UK have jobs.

It was recently added to the requirements for a COE.  It would not be required for extending a stay in country as it is for the O-A visa.

Many thanks for the info, Treetops.   ---  I have not left Thailand since October 2019, but I was hoping to visit the UK again "when-things-look-normal" (in both the UK and in Thailand).

So (paraphrasing your reply) under The Latest Rules, until the COE's are no longer necessary (whenever that may be), all Returning Long-Stayers will have to provide a proof of their Health-Insurance.

    - Copy of health insurance policy which covers medical treatment in Thailand (non-COVID-19 diseases) for outpatient not less than 40,000 Baht and inpatient not less than 400,000 Baht for the whole period of your stay in Thailand

The statement that I need to show proof that I have this level of Health-Insurance for re-entering Thailand (from the UK) with a Non-O (retirement-)extension comes as news to me.    -   I thought that this requirement only applied to Non-0-A's.

BY far the bulk is Thai men.

    1. Where do the men who purchase sex come from ?

Foreign men are not the only ones who use women in prostitution in Thailand. Thai men use women in prostitution as well. As much as 80% of prostitution in Thailand caters to local Thai men.

It is estimated that 7 out of 10 foreign men coming to Thailand engage in the sex industry. Men range in age and come from all over the world, with most coming from North America, Europe, Australia, and Japan. Many countries offer sex tours to Thailand. Central Asian women in prostitution provide services mostly to men from the Middle East and India. In 2012, tourism statistics indicated that about 8 million foreign men participated in the sex industry in Thailand.
