Happened to me some time ago as I was sharing and paying for Netflix on my daughters account.
We live in different countries.
Daughter has now cancelled her Netflix account after discussions with me.
We both access the Netflix content on other platforms in a much higher quality than we had with Netflix and for a minimal fee.
Seems like in our case the Netflix password sharing crackdown has backfired.

As Ukresonant implies, just going through the process of gifting and then giving it back, doesn't meet the spirit of the Gift Tax rule. if it is a Gift it must be gifted and remain gifted.
No reason why the person giving the gift cannot use the funds by accessing the account holders (giftee) account. With their permission of course.

If you're using an Android device you could try YouTube Vanced.
Good idea. However Vanced has now been superseded by Revanced and Revanced extended. Both are excellent.

It is incredible that so many are willing to be subservient to being taxed, hiring accountants, etc. and not granted immigrant status, no free healthcare, etc. and breathe polluted air most of the year. There are other countries you can move to who won't tax you to death and give you nothing in return.

As long as they remain under the tax threshold there should be no issue at all.

What, take it down to the money changer in small amounts from time to time or put it in the bank perhaps? Because whatever you do with it, the banks will record it as a foreign currency transaction and your passport will be required for that so everyone will know, who did what and when.
Getting your wife/girlfriend to change the money is an option in the above case.

I have several 4K max firesticks. Have never had a problem with wifi signal and do not ever expect one. Above specs are fine for streaming and I never have buffering. It most certainly is not underpowered as above specs confirm. For the money you pay and a guarantee from Amazon of several years support it is most certainly a good streaming device.

Update: I reset the minix box and installed Streamio. It works fine and I can watch most films. The only limitations I can see are:
1. I have very few add-ons available to stream, the main one being Pearlo.
2. There seems to be no filter for the movies like there are in the Crew etc...so I can't just select new movies or in theatre.
You need to install the Torrentio and Cyberflix addons. Real debrid is also well worth the small amount of money you pay to get guaranteed working links.
Once you have installed these addons you will find Stremio will work very well. The above limitations will be covered also once you have installed the addons as above.

Really? I was of the understanding that while you are not a tax resident your remittances will not be taxable.

I regularly walk back to my room in the early hours of the morning. Never had a problem in the last 12 years in Udon Thani. There are occasionally some street walkers but they are easily avoided.

Need some help please. Currently bringing in 600k per year and will turn 65 July 2024.
When working out my tax as of age 65 do I claim 190k deduction for being over 65 and 60k personal deduction?
Can some knowledgeable person/s please let me know how much tax I will pay and the formula to work it out?
I am getting a headache trying to work it out myself.

Replying to my own post, because I can't find a thread/posts which relate to VPNs, and I thought there was one?? So I will post on here what happened yesterday when I was watching Julius Caesar with my Smart DNS Proxy, which is usually brilliant and very reliable!
The series, three episodes, can run into one another if you are on the iPlayer, and am wondering if this has something to do with the fact that suddenly, when I was trying to get on to the last series, the dreaded message about, "not being available in my region/only available in the UK" or something like that came up so I couldn't watch it.
No problem I thought because I would switch to Nord, because I still have some months left on my original subscription, but that was no better and no matter how many times I reset it to try and change servers, the message still appeared and I couldn't get onto iPlayer!
So logged out of BBC, logged out of both VPNs, and then shut down the computer and waited awhile whilst I restarted it, but still to no avail, so I played around with the whole thing for a while and I found a solution....... when I eventually logged back on with Smart DNS, but didn't open any of the BBC programmes, I chose a different one completely than the Julius Caesar one I'd been watching, and then it worked, so I was able to get back onto the Julius Caesar one after that.
I was disappointed about this, but was more disappointed when Nord, supposedly the "King of VPNs" failed to work, and now that I've got my Smart DNS Proxy working again, I'll get back onto it tonight.
It got me wondering whether the techies at BBC have started working on being able to shut down access by a VPN – – any thoughts on this?
PS. If someone can find the VPN thread, then kindly move this on to it if you would be so good.
I am watching "Time" on Iplayer now. Nord vpn server 2525.

All my Kodi 20.2 and addons work very well with and without Real Debrid. Only use Nord for Iplayer.
I am using Asgard. Homelander. The Crew and a few others. Scrubs. Gratis etc that do not need Real Debrid.
I wonder if your Kodi version is not working with your current addons. Might be worth installing the latest version of Kodi and reinstalling the addons and also Real Debrid.
Stremio.com is a good app with minimal set up and also works well with or without Real Debrid. Plenty of other very good streaming apps are also available to stream movies/tv shows for free.
You may find someone in your local area who can assist you if you need help. Otherwise pm me and I will do my best to help.

It already works that way. First 150k is tax free, then up to 300k is 5% etc. 35% tax applies only to income above 5m THB. So for a foreigner living off a pension, if you'd spend 100k THB/month, you would pay zero tax if your country has a double-tax agreement, if not, then your tax (without deductibles) would be 150,000 THB/year. (GBP 282.00 p/month)
If you're living of 50,000 THB p/month and you had to pay full tax, then your tax p/year would be 33,500 THB (GBP 63.00 per month). How did you work that tax amount out? I am struggling to work my potential tax obligation out.

Been wanting to pull the trigger for sometime, on the Darkside I got B--, before Sop-- both piece of crap. There was a time I got some NBA and NFL, games now nothing.
Any American shows or movies they show it over and over again and then some. I've kept it because of my ThaI family paid year in advance until March but as I get older I'm tired of traveling to a sport bar to watch.
Checked into TM-, 3BBB I have their internet service but can't seem to guarantee a package I could obtain these sports regularly same with True. All I want is to watch American sports, weekly shows even Fox News without all the bs lockouts and freezes.
Not techno.
Wizztv.co.uk may assist you. I and many others have it and it works very well.

Thanks for your post @recom273, and I will do a bit of research on that, but I have to say that all of the research I've been doing and the many, many reviews on VPNs (some definitely paid for/sponsored) I have seen, has just about driven me round the bend!
I do remember something called Smart DNS Proxy, which I used a few years back, but somehow VPNs have overtaken it. BUT having looked into it again it appears to be all that I want now because I only want to unlock BBC iPlayer and STAN Sport in Australia (to watch the rugby) and that's all I need!
Doing a bit more research into that, it appears that it doesn't alter the bandwidth, which some VPNs can do, and indeed a couple I have tried have resulted in messages which say that I "don't have bandwidth to support the program", when my Internet connection here with 3BB is very good, so perhaps the bandwidth is affected on some of them, however not with Smart DNS Proxy.
Also thank you for your info regarding Firefox and I will also look into that, so many thanks again for your feedback/information. I will let you know how things go.
I use Smart dns proxy every day. Works with BBC Iplayer, all the Australian networks including Stan. Great service and cheap as chips.

Not sure what MOBI is. I looked in Gutenberg.org and could not find a file extension called MOBI.
And if you do find it and download it, how do you get it from you loptop into your kindle ?
I do see the "EPUB3 (E-readers incl. Send-to-Kindle) " but it does not send it to kindle and every search I made as to why or how, did not yield any actionable results.
https://www.cloudwards.net/epub-vs-mobi/#:~:text=EPUB is the most widely, them to MOBI or AZW3.
I transfer the Mobi files from my pc to my Kindle using the Kindle charging cable.

Thanks but if it's anything like kodi i gave up on that, the addons were a nuisance. So easy to just open an app and everything is there, like CinemaHD
Thank you also for your reply. Cinema HD is a good app and simple to use.
Agree that Cinema is easier in some ways than Stremio and Kodi. Easier does not equate to better though.
No ads with Stremio and Kodi. Subtitles work perfectly with both Stremio and Kodi. Large support network for Kodi and Stremio. With an absolute minimum of effort and technical knowledge both Kodi and Stremio can be set up in minutes and both provide a far better experience than other apps including Cinema HD in my opinion.
We are fortunate we have a choice of different ways to watch movies, tv shows etc via different apps. Everybody will have their favourite apps of course.

Stremio requires a few minutes to set up the addons. Once done you will have access to movies and tv shows for free. The above link will assist in this.
Subtitles work very well on Stremio.
