  1. Hi all, I appear to have a 90 days reporting problem in the next few weeks. I own a house in Bangkok and a condo in Pattaya, I travel frequently between both of these properties. My registered address is the condo in Naklua. Which could be a problem entering Pattaya to do a 90 days report whilst the Covid restrictions are in place. As the laws here change so often I'm not sure what my options will be, so has anyone got any ideas. Thanks.

  2. My Ais Unlimited wifi drops out all the time and it costs me 600 baht per month, whereas my wife uses the Governments free wifi and it never falters. Which begs the question, who provides the wifi for the Government. I'm very interested to know because I may use that providers paid service which could fix my current problem. Thanks.

  3. I'm using a AIS pocket mobile router on my laptop, it's unlimited 600 baht per month. I'm far from happy as it can get as high as 20Mbps but most times much lower even disconnecting regularly. I can't get any feedback from the locals as even the ones I know have very limited English. Does anyone know any options even changing my provider? I'm not to keen on doing this without consulting someone who knows what they're talking about. I don't mind spending money for the change but I don't want to end up with the same result.  Thanks.

  4. Hi there, I'm a 75 yo Australian who receives nothing because CL stated that as I've been living outside of Australia for the past 20 years I've broken my residential status. Now to reactivate my status I need to return to Australia for 2 years without leaving the country for even one day. So 2 years before a person is due for the age pension they need to return to Australia and only leave for 6 months per year for the ensuing 2 years. I'm a retired tradie I paid large tax, never been on the dole and I was even a National Serviceman. All I got was 2 medals which finished up in the garbage bin. If I wasn't married to a Thai I wouldn't even be living here especially how Thailand has fallen apart in recent years, So my best advice is to visit your local CL office 2 years before you're due for the age pension and make life so much easier for yourself.

  5. Hi limbus, I buy my sourdough bread at BIG C in Pattaya Klang, it's exactly the way I like it and sliced if you require that, 80 baht for one which is about 13 slices. In saying that try the biggest BIG C in Phuket where many farangs shop, there's a fair chance that they will sell it too. Best of luck mate, it tried everything before I could buy it here in Pattaya. By the way it's the shape of half a decent sized water melon.

  6. Hi there, does anyone know a permanent way to reset network adaptors. I've  tried everything that Youtube and Google have to offer but they last no more than 5 minutes. I've only had this problem for the past 6 weeks, prior to that which takes in many year of computer useage I didn't even know what is was. Thanks

  7. Hi all, in recent months I've been plagued with my network adapter cutting out frequently. I've tried all the fixes including the trouble shooter all to no avail. Has anybody got any permanent solution to this very annoying problem. Thanks.

  8. Hi all, I need some advice in regards to a unlimited wifi connection. I've been using an AIS mobile router 600 baht per month, when it works well it's fine but when it's bad it continually <deleted>s itself under pressure. Are there other options that perform better at a reduced price. I go up to my wifes family property in jungle bunny land and it works much better than 30 kms from Bangkok. Cheers all. mason45.

Thai wife and friends all around 25-35 years old, are always on their phones and social media.
My wife always says to be busy while somehow spendings parttime on her phone at least. Cleaning isn't great as well. Perhaps that is where things went downhill.

Personally could get it if they were at least also doing something productive behind a screen but it is all entertainment and nonsense basically.
Would make me brain dead but I gave up on trying to convince them to be less busy with it. Wife cleaning also not that great, very different from her family members as well, who are not on their phones all the time. So maybe there is a connection.

Just told my wife I will deduct her budget on cleaner if not doing it, so we got one for 2-3 months, now she wants to save money and do it herself.

I totally agree with you  Chaiya, we all have things to do that should take priority daily. I don't mind taking care of myself but when she cranks her Iphone up around 4am in the morning on full volume, never watches movies, music or anything informative I crack up. All she ever does is listens to poo house prophets who many times are very misleading and sometimes dangerous with their information. Maybe the good lady needs some attitude adjustment.

In your shoes, I would sell two of the properties - if that's possible. But then, I would not have put that much money into Thailand to begin with.

Thanks for your property advice but all up I'd be looking at no more than 4 million baht, when purchased the baht average was around 28-30 baht. I've moved on and thinking about now. I'm not a grub from Pattaya as my Thai wife is 63 years old I'm quite happy staying at home.

  11. This is my take, I'm now 73 yo and I've lived in Thailand for the past 15 years with my Thai wife. When I was OAP age I had no idea of the rules as I was the first of my friends to go down the same path as myself. When I did apply I was told that I had broken my residential status. It would appear that if a person were to return to Australia for the 2 year period prior to their eligible retirement age then they would receive the OAP. The law is utter shit when retired politicians are on full pensions with entitlements and perks, some even have diplomatic posts overseas or are government advisors which doesn't affect their tax payer funded pensions.

  12. Hi guys,

Thanks for all you're input. I'm on a multi entry Non Immigration O visa Thai wife. The initial stamp on entry was only for 90 days, I've used holidays to Siem Reap and Ho Chi Minh City as visa runs since then. On issue my visa was from 05 November 2014 till 04 November 2015, I entered Thailand one month later. Currently I need to do a visa run on 06 September plus 90 days would mean exit date is December 06. I think it's best I wait till my next visa run then I'll know exactly when my current visa expires. Thanks again, you've all been most helpful.

  13. Hi all,

I was issued a one year multi entry visa at the Thai Consulate in Melbourne Australia, dated from 05 November 2014 till 04 November 2015. I entered Thailand on December 06 2014. My question is do I need to leave Thailand by 04 November or 06 December. Next time I will revert back to my normal married visa but last time I was away for 4 months when my previous married visa was due. Thanks.
