So are you going to share the nationalities of the intended applicants or leave us to guess?

Strange, I'm being told exactly the opposite on Faceache ...
So you're saying that I need to renew my passport by 22nd July 2024, as I was trying to clarify above?
Transam is spot on, the unexpired period on a UK passport is no longer added on to a renewed passport, that concession ended in September 2018.Your current passport is still valid until it’s expiry date, except for entry to countries that have a rule that a passport must be no more than ten years old when the holder leaves the jurisdiction, the Schengen Area is one of those jurisdictions.
It wasn’t an issue when the UK was a member of the EU, but it’s something that became an issue once we left, we were warned that as third country nationals we no longer benefited from the concession, it would seem the benefits outweighed the inconvenience.

They certainly would send to Hua Hin from their Bangkok office, l suspect they would also do so from Chiang Mai.
When she applies she would pay a nominal fee for courier delivery (they send EMS) and she would also write the delivery address on the envelope, so assuming you already have the address, l don’t think there would be a problem.
My wife applied for her visa earlier this year and was going to collect from Bangkok as we had a new address, she later asked if they would sent to our new Hua Hin address, and they did.

Thank you for this suggestion. Unfortunately, if you go through what they offer then it amounts to the unhelpful advice to contact the embassy
It wasn’t really a suggestion, l was pointing out their disclaimer following the advice from the guy who posted link. -

This old thread was started over a decade ago by a member who was asking if his UK State Pension could be paid directly to Thailand, and has been answered. It has nothing to do with pensions being frozen, there have been numerous threads directed at this injustice.
The imposition of Ultra High Emission Zones in certain areas in the UK is also not a topic for debate here, though it’s probably worth saying that far from the British people just nodding to say ok, there have numerous protests and court cases on the issue, l suspect that may have missed the reports in the media.
You might not be aware that these restrictions have also been introduced in parts of mainland China, including Hong Kong, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy etc etc, where there have been similar protests.

I renewed my 90 day report this morning at the Kamphaeng Phet IO office.
My extension expires on 31 October 2023, my 90 report expires on 15 November 2023 and my passport expires on 17 June 2024.
On the way out the lady IO told my wife that I need a new passport before the extension is renewed.
I was under the impression that my extension would be renewed up to the expiry date of my passport.
My wife didn't tell me that until we were half way home.
My query is simple.
Am I correct or is the IO correct?
If I am correct I have 8 months on my next extension.
If I am wrong then I have 10 weeks or less to renew my passport.
if you use your current passport to get a further extension you could only get an extension until the expiry of your current passport, so you are correct - maybe the IO was trying to be helpful. My renewal took three weeks over the Christmas/New Year period, don’t know how long they’re currently taking.

We’re currently in the UK and have come across numerous retailers who would only accept card payments. My wife even purchased a single Krispy Kreme doughnut at a stall in a shopping mall, and they would only accept card payments.l have however noticed a few shops having signs near tills complaining that the banks charge them high fees to process cards and asking customers to pay cash if they could, but all l came across would still take cards.

Slightly off the subject, has anyone had their UK state pension paid into a Thai bank then a few years later had it paid into their UK bank & received the pension increases
2 hours ago, sometime said:I should have said I also have property in the UK that my daughter is looking after, so my UK bank account is legit
Maintaining a UK bank account, and having a pension paid into it, will not in itself mean that you will receive the annual increases, and neither will the fact that you own property in the UK, you actually have to declare to the DWP that you are ordinarily resident in the UK.Many people lie and claim they’re ordinarily resident, some use friends or families addresses whilst others use the address of a property they own but don’t live in, l suspect that most, if not all, get away with it.
l am aware that the DWP have taken to checking Council Tax records and Credit Agencies, I’ve no idea if that’s making any difference to the issue.

No, as I mentioned, l wasn’t resident in the UK.l just had my pensions paid into my UK based account, and transferred what l needed as and when.

But the guy you’ve responded hasn’t mentioned that he might be in the UK, in fact he’s posting from Thailand.I was clarifying your answer that if he had his pension paid into a UK account he would receive the uplift, obviously it’s not automatic, and certainly not on what he said.

Not quite sure what you are asking.
Unless things have changed recently VFS do not have a German office, all visas are done at the German embassy.
Things have changed:

How would a virtual card work in case of a refund? Can the ticket be refunded on the virtual card? I thought virtual cards were burner cards, to be used only once (like in order to pay membership on a porn site lol).
The virtual cards I’ve used have been been issued by Kasikorn and linked to my account, and given a visa credit card number and funds taken whenever l’ve made a a purchase, I imagine refunds would be made the same.I’ve never come accused burner cards and would have no need for one for the transaction you describe.

To me it sounds like a visa without calling it a visa. Just easier digital way to apply that in most cases will be automatically granted.
So probably the same as some members who say the visa free entry to Thailand is a visa on arrival, when it is isn’t.Those applying for a visa will need to satisfy the decision maker that they are a genuine visitor and, in most cases, will leave the destination country at the conclusion their visit, maybe also meet the financial, accommodation and insurance requirements before the visa is issued or refused. Their security background will be checked at the visa application stage.
You are correct that, for the most part, permission to travel for none visa nationals, will be automated and applicants will have there details checked against various databases, SIS, Schengen Information or probably the Warning Index for the UK electronic system, with flagged travellers requiring further examination. The US, Australia, Singapore, Japan, and other countries, already have Electronic Travel Authorisations in place and will check against their own databases.
Down and out in England.

I’m not sure that migrants are welcome with open arms, many arrive in the UK illegally and we’re more or less stuck with them until they can they can be removed.
If you’re detained then of course you will be put in some sort of detention accommodation, you cannot detain people on the streets.
it is very difficult to find accommodation for Immigration Detainees, nobody wants Immigration Removal Centres in their back yard, people complain if they’re accommodated on barges or two to a room in a run down seaside hotel, the Government are really on a hiding to nothing, they’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
it’s really not easy to get rid of illegal immigrants or failed asylum seekers, you can’t just put an undocumented person on a plane and expect the destination country to accept them without question.
l have every sympathy with the OP and people in a similar position, including military veterans, but those are separate issue which do need to be addressed.
