Tony Timpa was killed by Dallas Police in 2016 in a similar manner with police kneeling on him until he stopped breathing and died.
He screamed “You’re going to kill me.” And they did. As he lay dead, they cracked jokes. There were no riots. Little coverage. He was white.

Here you are, didn't take long to find. Nigel Farage, reporting live from the English Channel on the UK-FR 'handover' of migrants a few days ago:

Don't forget that while Thais have official, long-winded multisyllabic names used in official documents etc, in practice they use nicknames to refer to each other eg frog, pig etc.

What usually happens in cases like this depends on who has more money, the murderer, with any newly gained assets, or the victim's family. If the case goes quiet, then it's likely the former.

A Thai Channel 7 News report from today (07/05/20) gave further details
Police have interviewed his 19 year-old daughter who gave evidence that her father had an abusive relationship with a woman who had regularly hit her father and herself. The report didn't name the suspect but stated the daughter believed her to be behind the murder.
The latest from the report is that the police have taken in Mrs Siwan Kunmak, the victim's 49 year-old ex-wife and her present Thai husband for questioning.
The ex-wife claimed to police that when she entered the house her husband was still alive, albeit barely, but this has been contradicted by the pathology report which puts his time of death 6-12 hours earlier.

I met and got chatting to a Thai lady on instant messaging a while back and after a while she mentioned she'd recently been conned by a similar scam and lost a lot of money. I was the first person she had told since she was too embarrassed to tell anyone she knew what had happened. I had no reason to disbelieve her.
So I think there are a lot more of these scams that never get reported due to victim embarrassment.

I know why you might think that, but ชอบ as well as its meaning of like can also mean to be right so ความรับผิดชอบ really literally means to accept/admit when something is wrong or right ie take responsibility for something.
