They've cut the 3BB fibre cable so many times the tech gave me his private phone number so I could call him direct. Nice guy, seems happy enough with the 100bht 'tip' I give him for turning up quickly.

He's probably the one cutting it.

How would I do that with a black screen?

I'm sure windows 10 will have a new update out to fix it.

I guess I can download the AMD drivers, pull out the graphics card, restart in safe mode, install the latest drivers then restart.

Maybe I'll try that in a week or two.

    Have you tried windows 10?

Even safe mode is 3 menu's deep and at least 2 restarts to get to.

As you said. Coudn't you install the problematical graphics card, boot to safe mode, uninstall the Windows driver, then reinstall the latest drivers. Then do a normal boot and see if that fixes it?

  3. Does anyone use the paid for Thai2English Dictionary software by 'Mike' which was available for download at his site www.thai2english.com? He also used to post on Thaivisa (can't remember his nickname, 'MikeI' or something lke that).
I recently tried to re-install it and was unable to register it and use its full functionality, with the error message ""unable to connect to server".
    Has he abandoned it?
Thanks in advance for any info.

  4. Italy in their dominant spell(s) tired them out by keeping possession and getting the English players to run after the ball. Even when they temporarily won the ball, they just hoofed it upfield to lose it again. It needed England once they won possession to string a few passes together, gain some composure and make the opposing team chase the game.

  5. The old rubber o-rings were cheap and easy to replace.
Then they were phased out and replaced with the ceramic disc taps which we were told would never leak. However they do and the plumber usually advises buying a whole new tap as he can't source the particular disc required. Hard to see the progress.

    Or have I missed something?

No it isn't nasty , for people only working with oranges and potatoes yes , anything more then citric acid is dangerous ( even citric acid can be dangerous ) , but for people who work with chemicals or at a chemical plant , styrene is pretty ok . It does have a few properties which need to be taken care of , like fire , and you better not drink it also ( or inhale it all day ) , like with most chemicals around , but it isn't more dangerous then gasoline .

A 2000 m3 tank exploding is certainly pretty big , but i highly doubt that was the trigger , it is just the massive flames after.

ps i got 30+ y of experience as chemical process operator , of which 8y in polystyrene plant .

    Are you sure about that?

  7. @14:58 you can hear them saying they're going home, several times. But the police run up to them and attack them. Presumably prompted by the previous stand-off with the senior officer who didn't like having the law quoted at him in front of his officers.

I would imagine assault charges will be filed the other way.

  8. Had to Google it since the photo in the OP didn't really do it justice. Looks worth a visit if in the area. Don't know how his camera didn't pick up any traffic noise, only birds, even at dawn.

    More opportunity for  Lampostgate maybe.
