With mice I found they wouldn't go near poison, glue or humane traps.

Unfortunately, the only thing that worked was snap traps baited with peanut butter and blocking off their entry points so they couldn't get back in again.

Yes they do.
eg Google translate TH to EN, if it can't find the Thai word in its database, often just gives a transliteration, then goes onto translate the rest of the sentence. Depending on the rules used, the transliteration/transcription can vary.
What's your explanation of how 'salute' got translated as slut?

สลุต means salute like a gun salute, not slut.

Presumably the Thai word สลุต which could be transliterated as 'slut'.

In mgronline.com they reported that it was actually her bf who planted the marijuana there and got arrested and fined. She had to pay the bail and expected court fine.
Against the advice of her mother, the daughter claimed she thought the law had changed and it was now legal to grow the plants.
She was charged with manufacture and possession of a class 5 drug (marijuana).
According to Wiki:
"In 2018, Thailand became the first East Asian nation to legalize medical marijuana. The law permits and regulates the use of medical marijuana.
...Under the new law (2018), people with approved health conditions can use marijuana after getting a prescription from a certified physician. The new legislation prevents patients from exceeding and carrying on person the quantity of marijuana specified by their physician. "
So they seem to have fallen foul of the medical use bit, presumably with no doctor's prescription.

Yes, with all the flying and mixing of people from different countries, you would have thought the Euro football authorities had some kind of protocol in place.
eg it's reported in the press that Spain's entire squad received their Covid-19 vaccine just days before their Euro 2020 opener against Sweden.

In Thailand, if your name is eg John Doe, they often call you Mr John rather than Mr Doe ie they use your Christian name rather than surname as they do in the West. While nicknames are known, Thai surnames are often unknown between even friends in Thailand.

Maybe a minor point....but how does the staffer know it was the son calling out in a panic and not, say, the father? More than 10 minutes passed until the second cries for help, also from the son, alerted the staffer and the first body found. IF it was the father we would know he was alive at that time (she saw no one). 

In the Thai version of the Daily News story, it just says the staffer initially heard a man's voice crying out several times over a period of about 12 minutes but couldn't see who it was. It wasn't till the end of that period he finally saw the son calling out from the pool area. He ran there and saw the father lying on his back in the stair area of the pool.

A quirk...right. The English "Farang can learn Thai Language" sounds awkward and unnatural for a title. Presumably from a non-native English speaker.
Also, a lot of Westerners (rightly or wrongly) don't like the word farang. So maybe not a good idea to have it in the name. Also what about non-native speakers who aren't farang? Are they excluded?
