Guys many thanks for the replies........... I didnt put any countries in the OP as i wanted an unbiased view.
I did have Cambodia at the top of the list in the research I have done so far. As well as that its not too far for the GF to zip back to say hello to her sister.
Shanookville was our personal choice, but i have heard there are a few russians there starting to "throw there weight around" is this true???
As already mentioned it seems a lot easier to do biz there.
Is there as website that anybody knows that has all the ins and outs of visas/ work permits for westerners and thais as well.
Also for renting apartments etc.

2. Thai gf will be coming.
This is your biggest obstacle. All else is just monetary issues.
Make sure she wants to, really wants to...and don't decide to buy a ticket and head home after a few weeks.
It was her idea initially a few months back....and i didnt really think much of it ... and she asked again yesterday, think she has fell out with her own country!!!!

If you was going to say enough is enough to living and working in Thailand, which of Thailands neighbouring countries would you move to and why???
Please take in to account these couple of facts
1. My business can be done from anywhere, but it would be good to set up a shop if it is easy enough to get a work permit etc.
2. Thai gf will be coming.
3. can vehicles and motorbikes bought in Thailand be re-registered in "the new country"?? is it a pain in the ass to do??? or am i best off selling and buying in the new country??

Better than voting for the Jock and English parties that have fuc_ked up the country. Although if you can actually read, the avatar that he has, has nothing to do with Mebyon Kernow.

1. The needles that are used are ALWAYS sterile and you are always shown them being taken out of a new air tight packet.
2. What has having a tattoo got to do with working in a bar??........... There are alot of girls, even hi -so girls with tattoos, its called being individual and not following the flock.
If i was her I would be kicking you out for being so petty and small minded about tattooed girls.

What are the charges for transferring your UK pensions to a QROPS or an older less cost-efficient QROPS to a new scheme?
Many pension providers have two values for the pension - the fund value with them and the fund value they will transfer to another pension provider - transferring can cost a large percentage of a pension . What is the percentage of the plan that is lost?

It's a bit like when i met the missus, she told me she was 25 turned out she was 35, ah well like you say, regular maintenance and plenty of lubrication she should go on forever.
Apart from the age discrepency i still think i have a bargain.
One of the best posts on here for a long time

The driver is a stupid lieing man, more like nodded off because he has driven for the last 24 hours. I have driven wagons for 35 years from containers to tankers, The air keeps the brakes off, so no air, the brakes come on , if the wagon is road worthy. It does not matter how many horse power you have it depends on how you use the gears, In the UK people are taught not to use the engine as a brake, because brakes are cheaper than clutches, Most modern wagons are now automatic.
Think you need to learn to read before calling him stupid........." The rig almost made it, but just re reaching the crest the force of gravity won out and the truck started to roll back down the hill."

Lets give a Thai a manual gearbox and lets see how they cope then

I got stopped this afternoon about 100 yds before the On Nut BTS for being in the 3rd lane....... travelling towards Bang Na.............. the story now unfolds :-)
The BIB pulled me ( and quite rightly so) for being in the 3rd lane........... what then happens had me chuckling for sometime after.
They pull me to one side and asked me in Thai whether i speak thai.......... I always say "nit noi"............. then they call this western girl over, mid 20's, wearing a pair of 3/4 length cargo trousers, trainers, base ball cap on the side of her head and also wearing................... a Royal Thai Police Red Vest.
I said to her what are you doing here and she replied "helping" in an american acccent........... the BIB then speaks to her in thai and tells her to tell me its an offence to ride a motorbike in the Right hand lane...... and that was all he said to her........... she then translates for me that I was riding my motorbike in the left hand lane and i should of been in the right hand lane!!!!!!!!!! I turned to her and said she had translated it all wrong and told her what he actually said.......... The stroppy cow then turns to me and says "What do i know about the rules of the road in Thailand?" to which i replied a shit load more than you darling........... I then asked her again what she was doing and she said "helping" ............ I asked her if she had a work permit to help the BIB to which she replied "Your a Fxxxing Jerk off" and walked off to see her BIB buddies.
Anyway 100b later and I am on my way............... but whats going on with the BIB using the scruffiest girls to "help" them and why are they helping them?
