These are investment properties.

They make you purchase the villa, rent it through the hotel/management, receive a return and give you 2 weeks to a month per year.

I see some of these places guarantee returns for 2 years..

Think the yellow Porsche is a farang/falang guy. But I have noticed a red Ferrari in the Kata/Patong area these past couple of weeks.

Yes I thought the same thing .. but then again there is that same question I always have, how do THEY get in and not wake anyone up? Happened to some friends too in Nai Harn and they have dogs too..

I know of around 3 cases (Rawai,Chalong) of people's aircon being tampered with and gassing the occupants inside.

Not sure what they use.

Laguna near the lake closed over a year ago due to the hotel/villas going up there.

It is by the scb bank in Rawai now where it is safer and well lit at night.

If you have not noticed, the army have always run this country but at least they seem to be cleaning up those horrible and dangerous nightspots.

I saw a farang get kicked and stabbed by bunch of thais out front of the icon last year, police were there drinking inside and did not even come outside until the "real" police arrived.

No charges, and the offenders stuck around like bystanders.

Must have been friendly ones as Kamala was 20 - 30k and VERY hard about negotiating.

I would pay 20-30k, anything is better than getting arrested,sitting in a stinky cell waiting to make bail and have to front a court, sometimes taking over 12 months to finish.

Police don't make money if they charge you though, they would prefer any payment rather than charging you.

It means paperwork and we all know the police don't like work.

Offer what money you have in your pockets and act like a dumb tourist.

The real question is..

How much do i pay the police when i blow a positive reading?
