  1. The danger is that the British will vote in a right wing nationalist government.

The BNP as im guessing this is who youre refering to are socialists, read their manifesto before coming out with such crap. You will learn something.

That's what "The Chingford Skinhead" aka Norman (on ya bike), Tebbit said last night,....I couldn't stop laughing :) .....Tip; never believe BNP literature!

Well it as its a fact, i grant you on immigration their policy is what can be described as right wing, but the rest of it most certainly isnt.

When Nick Griffin speaks i believe him far more then pretty much all other politicians ..... but no i dont vote for BNP as they arent in my constituency i just agree with many of their points ... as do the mass majority of Brits when shown their manifesto without being told it was from the BNP.

The Scottish already vote in their masses for a nationalist party does this kind of democracy scare you, you really are a product of NuLabour, with your scare tactics.

  3. So then BKKJames youre married man, with a child who is more then well known in the notorious Soi Cowboy area of Bangkok, with a misses who's under instruction to leave the room when they footballs on.

Take it the misses wears the trousers then!

  4. 1) The wife is not allowed to watch 'live' Utd games with me. The last few times she did - we lost to LP.

I've got to give you 10 out of 10 for that one ...... id personally ban women from football fullstop, apart from promotional girls in bikins throwing sweets, crisps etc... into the crowd before the games.

My only one is i never put a bet on Newcastle as i bet with the heart not the head.

  5. A reprieve for the geordie boys, didnt watch the game as it was irrelevant to the Stokies, but did you deserve the win???

I think they did as they took the game to Boro, but looked nervous in patches

If i was a betting man i think you will avoid relegation but i sense a mass exodus for your players, but that wont be a bad thing as no balls,no heart springs to mid.

I will carry their bags for them, but not many will want them on the wages Newcastle pay.

you lovely non violent supporters go on youtube and see the scenes from Newcastle/Sunderland match, see how you outnumbered Sunderland and your chavys didnt even run.

I dont go in for football violence i really cant be bothered with it, but if people like it and want to kick <deleted> out of each othe good luck to them but they shouldnt complain if theyre outnumbered, im at the boxing gym pretty much every day whilst here in LOS maybe it takes away the need to "beat someone up for fun".

PS I moved back to Newcastle for a few months just after Xmas after many years away, and its unbelievable the way SOME people from Newcastle and Sunderland despise each other just for being born 10 mile away.

  6. It's quite simple, if Hull lose at Bolton on Saturday, you've stayed up as they're not gonna get anything out of Man Ure on the last day..

You still cant rule out Boro, West Brom or even Hull getting 6 points in the 2 last games, Newcastle need 6 points to be certain to stay up and all of a sudden our 2 last games look fcuken hard and everyone elses really easy.

  7. So it seems the moral of this story is…Lie and deceive and you will get anything you want!

But unfortunately if you tell the gods honest truth and are unbelievably open and free from lies you may be able to sleep at night, but you'll just not have all the tools to have what it takes to get by in the world of business and life in general.

Jack and the Beanstalk was my favourite book as a kid, that basically teaches you to trust no <deleted>, and that my blood smells!

  8. Christ we wouldnt want parades of Leu Kreung English children parading through the streets of BKK or Nakon Nowhere celebrating their Englishness on St Georges Day in the same embarassing way Americans who think theyre Irish do.

Or perhaps in the same way that Chinese Thais celebrate their culture and contribution to Thailand?

The flip side of the coin is to not want your children to be proud of and celebrate their own cultural and family history.

It's a very strange thing not to want for your children.

Ive family who died in the 2nd world war, and the rest have all had sh7tty jobs in mines and shipyards up until my generation, its not really to be celebrated IMO, but yes if i ever have kids theyll be aware of this.

As for Culture well this word has only been latched onto and rammed down our throats over the last 18 years or so by the media, government and people who desire to be seen as sophisticated in the UK. I now have football culture, working class culture, food culture, wine culture, religious culture and soon to be work culture thats just for starters.

I prefered it when i was just living a life and it wasnt refered to as any kind of wonderful cultural experience. So i wouldnt know where to begin in teaching my kids culture ... only manners and decency.

I know nothing of how Chinese Thais celebrate their culture in Thailand, do they bring up the genocide of Moa in these celebrations, or how they run the show here in LOS? But i believe the Americans thinking theyre Irish make fools of themselves by celebrating St Paddys day, and are not in any way shape or form Irish because some distant relative left the Emerald Isle 100 years ago. Just as in 100 years from now if my distant offspring living in LOS wouldnt be English and have no need to celebrate some mythical culture.

  9. For myself I think it has only just begun....barely

The true economic situation will begin shortly.

This is just my opinion & I really hope it is way off base.

    Agreed.

There's a big price to pay, greatly increased tax burden and reduced public spending. But the main explosion has happened and has passed. It could have been much worse.

Regarding Thailand, I rather think the metaphor is proving to be a bit like a set of teeth depicted in a cartoon figure such as Wily Coyote in fixed grin mode, which at first exhibits barely a crack but ends in total disintegration.

I'm glad I'm over the worst (I think) of the western meltdown, and not particularly subject to what is to come in Thailand.

    It may be severe.

But in the US Obamas raising public spending for his entire term, as is Gordon Clown in the UK, more debt for the taxpayer so the government can waste, sorry wisely spend our money ... spending to get out of debt, print money and huge infation is their way of reducing debt .. all at the expense of prudent savers such as myself.

I think certain poorer nations that rely on exports will be affected as its just basic economics that the US and UK need to start producing more goods to create jobs, the Mcdonalds service sector economy cant be relied upon and something needs to be done about it, hence IMO a more evenly balanced trading relationship with these protectionist countries which will cost them jobs, and our 2 nations are 2 of Thailands biggest trading partners.

In the UK unemployment is currently 2 million, even the govt who underestimate eveything say ti will hit 3.2 million thats far from being past the worst of it, manufacturing is one of the answers to this hence taking back jobs from the Far East, through equal free trade agreements.

Many banks are as good as insolvent as it was shown last week, they cant lend to fund start up businesses let alone certain long standing ones, so job creation is a long way off.

Also the speak from Obama's govt that this is in the worst case scenario for the banks to go insolvent cynically makes me wonder if they know something theyre not letting on.

Maybe i just need to say "Yes we can" a few more times to believe the black man with the near perfect marketing strategy .... If theyd made Bob the Plumber (whatever he was called) President then that would have been real change ... liberals i shyt em.

  10. How dare anyone who has emigrated to another country complain about the number of immigrants in our home country??! And then go on to complain that their own Thai (foreign) children cannot consider themselves as British?? :)

Because by the sounds of it he has married a foreign national and moved to her country, there is a big difference between this kind of immigration where the person instantly intergrates in his/her new country and the violent ghettos that have been created in many UK towns and Cities by messy mass immigration of 3rd world unskilled workers from places most notably Pakistan, Nigeria, Jamaica and Somalia, that are unsafe for white skinned people to walk through.

The East and Central European folks that come to the UK work hard, make an effort to mix, and are nice honest people IMO but there has been too many allowed in at once and it has without doubt forced many Indigenous workers out of work as they are unable to compete with Poles etc... who are living 4 per room and working 12 hours a day 7 days a week for 50% less wages...... Im sure you'd agree English people shouldnt have to work this much to receive a liveable wage that is sufficient to raise a family .... I shared a house with a few Lithuanians who'd been in England for 12 years they dont like mass immigration from Poland as it lowers their wages... ironic im sure you'd agree

As for his kids not being English well if theyre raised in Thailand theyre Thais with a English father, theyre hardly going to be intune with the subtleties of English life whilst visiting a couple of times in their childhood.

Christ we wouldnt want parades of Leu Kreung English children parading through the streets of BKK or Nakon Nowhere celebrating their Englishness on St Georges Day in the same embarassing way Americans who think theyre Irish do.

  11. My bet................................1-1 . If I was to pick a winner- boro but feel free to take the pi55 after- from those who didn't dare predict :-)

Id usually agree these games are often draws, but Newcastle for the win tonight, home advantage!

The teams havent scored in the last 6 games between them, but this game is HUGE!

  12. As mentioned in another thread, I like the Golden Bar outside Nana Hotel on the street. Seriously, I can sit there for hours and people watch. The characters in Bangkok ....................

Agreed best bar in BKK for people watching, i tried Strikers bar directly opposite for people watching but it just lacks that certain something Golden Bar has.
