  1. I know two men here with 40+ year age differences between them and their younger wives. Just my own observation, but often they seemed just so lonely. Wife would always be 'out with her friends', 'out with family' or at best, in another room of the house watching Thai tv. Easy to see why -

Lonely? ... I pay the rent for her own apartment 5 minutes away just so she can hang out with her friends et al and leave me alone.

  2. As long as we're making observations, many young attractive, intelligent, Thai women seem to not want to be seen in the public company of a much older farang male because it sends off a message to their peer group that they are unable to find a young, attractive, intelligent, possibly well-to-do, Thai male.

  3. ... I personally know at least a dozen Thai women like that and we are fairly good friends... just not intimate ones ... They also know how I spend my time and with who. They've met my special ladies and there is none of the hostility shown here.

The only hostilities are over who gets to keep the fish.

  4. As per the previous 2 posts by K.s S & A why don't you have a whack at these 'odd' fellows who have posted the same thing:

Reasons for revoking permanent residence status

3.Persons who are persona non grata by virtue of the decision of the Interior Minister under Section 16 of the Immigration Act B.E.2522 (1979)

In fact the same information is posted on several different websites regardless of the source... wonder if the 'odd' persons who posted the above included our very own 'Gang of Six'?

  5. Speaking of just the Asian countries, I believe that the most beautiful are Euroasian women. I would hazard a guess that many of the Thai movie stars have some white blood in their genes. I met a gal in Manilla that was an absolute stunner. When I first heard her speak I thought she was American, but it turned out she had a Filipina mother and Castillian Spanish father. She was on her way to Japan in a few days and I was on my way back to Canada on the same day. She was 26 and I was in my late fifties, but for some strange reason we just hit it off together. Had I not been going back to Canada and her moving to Japan we might have had a much longer relationship. I still wonder what might have happened had I met her just arriving in the Philippines instead of just leaving. She was tall and slender, with raven black hair and piercing brown eyes. Her nose was straight and she had high cheek bones typical of the Spanish. She looked more aristocrat Spanish than Filipina. I was just stunned when I first saw her in a shop and asked if I could take her picture. She smiled and said yes, and that was the start of a brief but passionate friendship. Unfortunately, and so typical of the Philippines, my camera was stolen a day later and I never got to develope the pictures. But, I still have a visual picture of her perky smile grinning at me from under a big brimmed hat.

  6. Many Isaan women seem to age quite rapidly in their late thirties and early forties ... No problem just get another 24-year old.

....and then there are the {greater} percentage that don't show age rapidly into those "suspected" age brackets.

well I was just having a shot at the OP who seems to see women as a commodity ... but I'll let you know when mine gets into that range in a decade or 2.

  7. to follow-on Kuhns Git and Mac, since you and your 'wife' are in fact not legally married as your marriage has not been registered, and, since she appears to be a woman of some substance and means, it might be an option for her to apply for a tourist visa to the USA for the purpose of visiting THAI relatives or friends in the USA also of some substance and means and leave you completely out of the picture unless such information is specifically asked for by the US Consular agent.

  8. In the days before I had in-room WiFi I was twice in an Internet shop when it was raided by the police for having under 16 year olds in the shop on a school day before 2 PM ... I was politely asked by the police to leave and the shop was promptly closed for a few days (with fine also I would presume) ...

Later on I used to be in the shop at 1:50 PM on a school day with about 20 boys in their school clothes and their noses pressed outside to the glass eying which spot they would choose when they would storm the shop at 2 PM.

  9. have a go at me if you like ... Post #1 My kids who hold duel citizenship of American and Thai nationalities are confused by strangers calling them farang. not every LukK is a soap opera star or musician ... and I still see those looks on many of the the kids faces even if you don't.
